Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Explosion

"Don't worry, kid, it's not a sin to give a kind reminder, even if it's wrong. We won't curse others with malice, but we won't let kind people be punished for it." The fat old man with white beard and white hair sat next to Bella and comforted her.

The fat old man handed her a business card.

John Gray, professor of history at Bard College in New York.

Bella didn't have a business card, so she could only introduce herself: "Isabella Swan, professor, you can call me Bella."

"Hello, Bella, I see you are very uneasy. Are you worried about the government's blame? I still know a few friends, you don't have to be afraid."

Bella was really guilty at this time. After the impulse to save people, all that was left was fear. She knew better than anyone what she was about to face, which was something that beauty, wealth, and status could not resist.

"Do you believe my nonsense?" She asked carefully.

Many passengers were half-believing and half-doubting, or rather, they would rather believe it than not believe it. There were really few who supported themselves clearly and believed it without a doubt.

The fat old man looked into the distance, his expression a little lonely.

"You are a high school student, have you studied American history?"

Is there such a thing as history in the United States? Bella despised the so-called American history from the bottom of her heart. She only remembered the story of Washington, the Fallen Cherry Axe, and Lincoln, the vampire hunter.

She didn't receive much memory from her previous life. At most, she had only traveled through time for three days! There was no time to read books at all.

She didn't know what the history class in the United States taught, so she could only answer ambiguously: "I know a little."

"Our history carries original sin. This land does not belong to us, and this sky hates us. In 1821, in Idaho, all the residents and gold diggers in a small town died. There were no wounds, no signs, and a full five hundred people died suddenly. There are many similar cases.

The government believes that it was a vendetta organized by the Indians, but I think it was revenge by nature."

Bella felt that the fat old man's statement was very close to the truth. No one could tell what the god of death in the movie was.

"I think" she said before she saw a huge and eye-catching fireball explode in the sky in the distance.

Two seconds later, the air wave caused by the violent explosion hit the glass of the waiting hall. With a "boom", several passengers standing in front of the window were directly blown away, and the newspapers, cups, and clothes of the passengers in the hall were blown everywhere.

The drizzle outside the window was blown into the waiting hall by the strong wind, and the ground that could shine was stained with a layer of mud. I don't know if it was an illusion, Bella smelled a faint smell of blood from it.

The indoor temperature dropped by three or four degrees in an instant, but no one had the spare time to think about the glass and the ground at this time. Everyone, including Bella, looked out the window blankly, watching the fireball burning fiercely in the air and falling to the ground.

Several men threw away their so-called manners, covered their heads, and looked unbelievable. The women hugged their children, trying to give their children some courage, but in fact they themselves were also very scared now.

"Oh! My God!"

"Mom! I'm scared!"

"Child, don't be afraid, don't be afraid, Mom is here! Mom is here!"

The survivors in the waiting hall fell into inexplicable panic.

Some people kissed the cross, some slumped in their seats in a daze, and some couples hugged each other, lamenting that they had escaped.

The female teacher who was still apologizing to the airport manager, hoping that she and her students could board the plane as usual, turned pale. She was relieved, but more regretful. If she could live her life again, she would definitely stop everyone.

"Didn't you say the plane was fine?! You are murdering! Do you understand murder? You idiot! You are all murderers!" The thin female teacher grabbed the airport manager's tie. She had heard this guy swear that there was no problem with the plane. What about now?

Is this okay? How is she going to explain to the families of the students who died?

The airport manager was also shocked. The one who said that the plane was fine and patted his chest to guarantee it was the captain! Now he is dead, right?

The law cannot apply to the dead, so he who is alive should be unlucky.

"I saw it! I saw the whole scene. Everything was exactly the same as I remembered. The left engine of the plane caught fire, and then the flames caused by the explosion rushed into the cabin.

I saw you, you, and you. You are all dead! All dead!"

The thin male student kept emphasizing the scene he had predicted. To be honest, Bella felt that his ability was quite magical. It was like going through a process and then dialing back the time of a single individual. Listening to his detailed description, it always felt very real, completely different from the death omen Bella had experienced herself.

Hers seemed to be some kind of spiritual perception, while the thin male student seemed to be temporarily cheating.

Since someone was willing to attract firepower, she would not jump out to highlight herself.

There were more than 100 victims, and many of them still vaguely appeared in front of Bella.

There were female students who mocked her rustic dress, and there were company executives who scolded her for being crazy.

Now everything was gone. At 9:25 in the morning, the plane took off and then there was a big explosion. Although the airport sent out a search and rescue team in the heavy rain, everyone was pessimistic about the results of the search and rescue. In that case, the chance of survival was very small.

Trans World Airlines had already encountered pressure from all sides due to poor management. Now the accident of Flight 180 has dealt them a heavy blow. Whether it was a mechanical failure or a fuel explosion, it could not stop the airline founded in 1925 from falling into the abyss.

Police, firefighters, FBI, and various media reporters took turns to ask the survivors all kinds of questions.

From religious beliefs to human rights issues, from political stances to supported teams.

Among them, Bella, the thin male student Alex, the black-haired young man Sam, and the brown-haired female student Claire were all the focus of the inquiry.

The middle-aged man in a long woolen coat showed his ID to several people. He was a C1-level field supervisor in charge of the Phoenix branch of the FBI. He had a very cliché name, or a pseudonym. He introduced himself as Henry.

The least suspected brown-haired female student Claire Redfield was the first to be questioned.

"Ms. Redfield, I didn't see you and Miss Swan have any intersection before. Can you tell me why you support her point of view?"

"It's some kind of very ominous premonition. If I board the plane, I will die. It's that simple."

"Premonition? That's it? Do you mind if I record it truthfully?"

"Of course."
