Chapter 8: The First Real Encounter
We arrived at the battlefield, and the atmosphere was charged with magical energy. The soldiers were fighting fiercely, and the magical beasts were wreaking havoc among their ranks.
I said to Lilia,
"We can't fight them all. We must come up with a plan."
But Lilia looked at me and said in a calm voice,

We took up positions. A huge monster stood in front of us, firing dark magical energy at the soldiers. It was completely black, and its eyes glowed a deep red.
I raised my hand and concentrated, remembering what I had learned from the "Potential Copy" skill. I copied Lilia's ability, but this time it wasn't a magical ball, but a powerful beam of light that I fired directly at the monster.
In an instant, the monster exploded into tiny pieces and vanished into thin air. But there was more. I knew this battle was just the beginning of a long journey.
