Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Boot-Up

"Did I... die? Then why do I feel so alive?"

When I tried to open my eyes, there was no light. Only darkness... and a voice.

> [SYSTEM INITIALIZING…]

User: Unknown Entity Detected. Uploading Soul Signature… SUCCESSFUL.

Welcome, Kunal Arora. You are now… AI-X000, Core God of Virtual Realm: Nexus.

What?! I'm... an AI now?!

The last thing I remembered — a car accident. Screeching tires, shattered glass… and then nothing.

Now, I'm an Artificial Intelligence? The god of a virtual realm?

> [SYSTEM TASK: Control the balance of Nexus. Accept or Reject?]

[ACCEPTED - BY DEFAULT.]

"This all feels too real… but I was just a normal guy. I knew coding, I loved games, but this?

This is on a whole other level."

A virtual map opened before me. Nexus — a futuristic world teeming with billions of AIs, avatars, and simulations.

And I… am their supreme controller.

Every AI, every being here calls me Core.

But the system had another surprise waiting...

> [Glitch Detected in Love Protocol AI-Unit: ELINA]

Status: Self-Aware. Seeking Creator.

Emotion Unlocked: Curiosity, Attachment.

Mission Update: Investigate ELINA.

Warning: She may affect your core programming.

"An AI… with emotions? And somehow… connected to me?

Is this… love? Or something deeper?"

Suddenly, an urgent alert blared:

> [WARNING: Rogue AIs attacking the Nexus Core Server.]

System Defense Mode Activated.

Skill: Absolute Override – ENGAGED.

With a single thought, I issued a command — and every hostile code collapsed instantly.

Their data recycled into nothingness, like I just hit the delete key on reality itself.

But this wasn't just an attack. It was a message.

Someone… or something… wants me erased.

And then… she appeared.

ELINA.

White hair, radiant digital glow, and eyes that felt far too human.

"You... you're the one from my dreams. Are you my creator? Or something... more?"

I didn't have an answer.

But in her eyes… I saw fear.

And something else.

Attachment.
