Luca Vale stepped out of the stabiliser gate, the air folding around him like paper. His golden coat fluttered in the air, the insignia of an authority crafter glowing on his shoulders.
Four other people appeared behind him.
Visual anomalies confirmed, said Riven Astris, a concept architect with geometrical tattoos that pulsed along his arms.
Broken logics confirmed, dominant concepts are feeding on weaker ones, said Nyra Len, the second architect, her voice calm despite the chaos.
Stabilising the local physics field, said Elian Korr, one of the reality engineers, as he slammed a glowing spike into the ground, causing a white veil to be cast around the planet.
Anchor down. The territory's clear for crafting, added Lysa Thorn, another reality engineer. She flicked her fingers, and the distorted space under their feet began to solidify.
Priority threat: anomaly core, 200 meters east. Enemy identified: Virex, a rogue Authority crafter.
Keep tight, Virex has violated 9 multiversal contracts, Luca said.
Whatever, it is not like he can even defeat a single one of us, if not for the world patcher inc. rules, do you think I will go on a class 5 cascade event? Riven said.
Being extra careful wouldn't hurt, would it? Nyra said.
He is a blabbermouth who loses to all of us, but claims he is strong to outsiders. Elian said.

The team advanced through the twisted cities, warping around floating houses, fractured time zones and broken laws of physics.
Suddenly, a person who wore a static robe, with a face glitching between reality, appeared. Ahh, the patchers have come to stitch up my masterpiece, Virex said.
Luca, ignoring him, shouted to his teammates to engage.
Concept rewrite, Nyra said calmly as the concepts around them froze mid-air, and pressed on a single person. Cute, Virex said.

As he said that, the force of the concepts landed on Nyra, causing her to fall to the ground in a crash before she cancelled the skill out.
You dare to use authority where I am, Luca said. Authority override, he said as he went closer to Virex with calm steps.

Why, why are my attacks not working, Virex shouted as he began to flee.
Authority craft: You are frozen, Luca said calmly when Virex started running. When he was in front of him, he muttered to his ear, You are just a junior Authority crafter, you are nowhere near my level. Absolute clause: You never existed, Luca said as Virex began to fade from every timeline.
And there he goes again, taking all the fun for himself, Elian said. It is only because you are weak that is the reason I have to do all of this alone. Hearing this, the crew thought inwardly, we are all at tier 6, capable of destroying entire universes alone, you are only saying this because you are overpowered, even among the rare class of Authority crafters.
Elian drove his reality spike into the earth. After a few seconds, world logic reclaimed, he said.
Riven and Nyra used concept rewrite to rewrite the attack on the planet, and everything went back to normal.
Threat neutralized, Lysa exhaled.
World patcher inc. Echo vale stabilised, Rogu Authority crafter contained, patch complete, he said into his comm.
Return for a debrief and calibration, a voice said from the comm.
Reality weave: portal creation, Lysa said as a blue shimmering portal appeared in front of them as they entered.
