Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Experience.

As Lin Wei walked through the quiet, carpeted hallway of Silvercrest, he finally located his room number. Just as he reached for the door, his eyes were drawn to someone a few steps away.

A girl.

She had long black hair that flowed smoothly down her back and a figure that was elegant without effort. But it wasn't just her appearance—there was something about her presence, something that made the air around her feel different.

It wasn't the kind of beauty you could describe with just features or fashion; it was something deeper, almost intangible. As if her entire being radiated an aura that demanded attention without even trying.

Caught in the moment, Lin Wei didn't realize how openly he was staring—until the girl turned her head slightly and met his gaze. Her eyes flicked to him, calm and unreadable. Then, with a subtle nod, she turned and disappeared into her room.

Lin Wei blinked. "What was that?" he thought, still staring at the closed door. It took a few seconds before he shook his head, trying to collect himself. A faint, embarrassed smile tugged at his lips. "Did I just... get my first crush in this world?"

"I hope she doesn't already have a crush on someone… No—actually, that might be better. I'll definitely steal her away from whoever that bastard is." The thought drifted through Lin Wei's mind with surprising ease.

He didn't notice how his mindset was starting to shift—how his sense of morality was beginning to bend. At first, he'd been cautious, even a bit conflicted, about the idea of NTR. But now, it barely registered as something to be bothered by. The details no longer seemed to matter.

His attention shifted as he finally stepped into his room.

It was well-furnished—far more luxurious than his last. A soft, spacious bed sat in the center, flanked by comfortable sitting chairs and a sleek sofa near the window. There was even a small open kitchen, and the bathroom looked like it belonged in a high-end hotel, perfect for a quiet, relaxing bath.

But what caught his attention most was the wall beside the bed. He knew Bai Mei's room was adjacent to his. Out of curiosity, he glanced toward the wall—and to his surprise, it began to shift. As if responding to his will, the surface became thinner, more transparent, until he could clearly see through to the other side.

Right into Bai Mei's room.

With everything now settled, Lin Wei lay back on his bed, letting out a slow breath as he opened his NTR inventory again. What he had first considered a pile of junk had already surprised him with a card worth millions—who knew what else might be hiding in there?

He began to take stock of his rewards.

First were the Mana Cores—essential dungeon drops used to absorb energy and level up. He had received them in three separate batches, each containing anywhere from 10 to 20 cores. Altogether, they totaled 50 Level-1 Mana Cores. That alone would be enough to accelerate the cultivation of any beginner.

Then there were the Monster Cores—used as catalysts for summoning beasts. He had already received one earlier, and now there were five more, bringing the total to six summoning monster cores. Just having this many at such an early stage felt unreal.

But what truly caught his attention were three mysterious items.

Each one resembled a worn grimoire—ancient, leather-bound books without any titles or descriptions. He decided to leave them untouched for now. Without knowing what they were and considering the unpredictable nature of system items, it was best not to take unnecessary risks.

Then, tucked just beneath the books, he found something even more intriguing: three platinum-colored cards, each glowing faintly with their own aura. As he held them, a series of descriptions lit up before his eyes.

[Basic Combat Experience Card]—Stage 0

You will gain the experience of a genius sword fighter.

Experience: 30 Years

[Advanced Monster Anatomy & Anatomist Insight]—Stage 1

You will gain the accumulated experience of a renowned anatomist from several dungeon-based worlds.

Experience: 500 Years

[Advanced Martial Genius Experience Card]—Stage 0–3

You will gain the lived experience of a martial genius—one who mastered fists and every weapon, shaming the so-called experts of his time.

Note: With each increase in power, the host will unlock higher stages of this experience, ranging from Stage 0 to Stage 3.

Lin Wei stared at the cards, his heartbeat quickening. This wasn't just loot—this was the kind of power and knowledge that could change everything.

Without hesitation, Lin Wei lightly pinched the edge of the first card.

The platinum surface shimmered for a moment—then dissolved into thin air.

Almost instantly, his body went still.

He lay motionless on the bed, eyes closed, breath calm and steady. To any observer, he might have looked dead, but the quiet rhythm of his breathing told a different story. His mind, however, had been plunged into darkness.

Then, after what felt like an eternity—but in reality was just a few minutes—his fingers twitched.

His eyes opened slowly, blinking up at the ceiling above him.

A deep frown formed on his face, and for a moment, he simply stared—silent and stunned.

That... wasn't just gaining experience.

It was like he had truly lived someone else's life—felt their struggles, fought their battles, and learned every instinct and reaction they had honed through decades, even centuries. Their will, their rhythm, their pain... it had all become part of him.

Though his physical stats hadn't changed in the slightest, everything else had. His sense of combat had sharpened to an edge he didn't even know existed. His body moved with fluid precision. His grasp over strength, balance, and reaction was completely transformed.

It wasn't just a cheat—it was a rebirth.

"But I have to say…" Lin Wei murmured quietly, his voice carrying a strange weight. "For all the knowledge and battle experience I just gained—none of them had anything close to love. Not even a memory of it."

He fell silent, his tone more thoughtful than bitter, as if he'd stumbled on an intentional omission.

"It's almost like the system deliberately excluded that part... To keep me thirsty, to push me harder toward its goal."

The maturity in his voice was subtle but clear—something shaped not by age but by perspective. A sense of grounded calm that had only come after absorbing lifetimes of discipline and hardship.

Still seated, he reached into his inventory and pulled out a familiar object—an old training sword from his high school days. The grip felt solid in his palm, balanced and dependable.

He chuckled to himself. "Looks like those habits came with the experience, too."

Rising from the bed, he moved into a basic stance. There was nothing flashy in his movements—no burst of aura, no spiritual techniques—just the clean, measured motions of a seasoned swordsman running through foundational drills. His limbs flowed naturally, muscle memory borrowed from decades of battles he'd never truly fought.

Despite the simplicity, each step was razor-sharp.

He didn't push beyond his limits. With his current physical stats, using advanced sword techniques would only damage his body. For now, basics were enough—refining his form, aligning body and mind.

An hour passed. Sweat dripped from his brow, his limbs heavy with exertion, but his breathing remained steady. Exhausted yet content, Lin Wei finally set the sword aside and ordered some food through the building's delivery network.

While waiting, he grabbed the laptop he brought from home, connected to the building's free Wi-Fi, and opened a site he had bookmarked earlier—Anatomist Forum.

Dozens of videos popped up: tutorials, dissections, lectures on beast biology. As he watched, Lin Wei's brows furrowed in interest. The techniques in this world were surprisingly advanced—very different from the ones in his inherited experience.

There were subtleties in organ harvesting, spiritual energy extraction, and classification methods that hadn't existed in the other world.

It wasn't just new—it was useful.

His eyes lit up with excitement. Just then, the food arrived. He grabbed the tray, sat down, and began eating while continuing to scroll through videos, half-focused on his meal, fully absorbed in the content.

His tired body recovered slowly, but his mind was sharp, thrilled by the discovery of something new to master.
