Chapter 65 - The Lands Between

As this new cosmos took shape, life began to stir within its countless universes.

Meanwhile, the chat group members who had witnessed the entire process—from annihilation to creation—were left utterly speechless.

This was especially true for the newest members, Athena and Marika.

The moment they saw the birth of those infinite universes, those limitless layers of reality, they fell to their knees.

It was too terrifying. This power far exceeded anything their minds could grasp.

Elden ring world,

Marika stood atop a high mountain, gazing up at the starry sky.

Her eyes seemed to pierce through the firmament, reaching into the depths of the cosmos.

She pondered whether the Greater Will was, at this very moment, watching its agents like her—monitoring her for any trace of disloyalty, judging her capability to carry out its divine edicts.

But to Marika, it no longer mattered.

She, Marika, would not bow to such a deity.

In her heart, only one being was worthy of her allegiance, worthy of her service as her true lord: Yuki.

"Alecto, have the assassins scout for a suitable location to establish our base," Marika said, turning her head to address the seemingly empty, dense forest behind her.

As soon as she spoke, over a dozen figures materialized silently from the shadows.

They wore matching uniforms of scaled armor that made no sound as they moved. Their faces were hidden beneath black hoods, making their features indistinguishable.

They were Marika's most loyal, most elite subordinates—the Black Knife Assassins, a group composed entirely of women from the Numen race. Their leader was the woman named Alecto.

"As you command, my Queen," Alecto replied with a deep bow, then began quietly directing the other assassins to their tasks.

With that handled, Marika immersed herself in the chat group.

Browsing the various messages offered a temporary respite for this woman, who was constantly embroiled in schemes and calculations. Soon, she joined in the chorus of praise for Yuki.

Marika: "Lord Yuki, you are truly magnificent! You are the only one truly worthy of the title 'God'!"

Artemis: "Hehe! Of course! After all, he's my dear Yuki-kun!"

Seitenshi: "Now, now, Artemis, Yuki-kun belongs to me at the moment!"

Artemis: "So annoying! Just because you got a head start doesn't make you special!"

Seitenshi: "Hehe, but I do feel pretty special right now! Guess how many points I have?!"

Raiden: "After a spectacle of that magnitude, the points for changing fate must be substantial."

Huaizhu: "It has to be at least around 10,000 points, right?"

Seitenshi: "Wrong! Besides the mission reward, I now have a full 50,000 points in my account!"

Saeko: "That's truly impressive. Congratulations, Seitenshi."

Athena: "50,000 points! That's an incredible amount!"

Seitenshi: "Hehe, of course, I have to thank Yuki-kun for this! Without him, I wouldn't have so many points! Mwah! Love you, Yuki-kun!"

Artemis: "Waaah, I'm so jealous! I'm just jealous in every way possible! (Crying)"

Yuki: "Heh, Artemis, there's no need to be sad. I'll find time to visit your world."

Artemis: "Really? Yay! (Ecstatic)"

Meanwhile, in the Type-Moon world...

Artemis, currently floating in orbit around Earth, suddenly began flying around erratically in her excitement, even performing aerial loops and tricks.

The other Machine Gods watched in bewilderment.

"Has that child's neural module short-circuited?" Poseidon's voice rumbled.

The massive true form of Zeus, the interstellar combat annihilation mobile fortress, pondered for a moment.

"I believe the so-called 'emotions' Artemis now possesses are far richer than ours," Zeus stated slowly. "Perhaps, from a certain point on, she has come closer to understanding the concept of a 'heart' than any of us."

Zeus's words were met with sounds of astonishment from the other Machine Gods.

...

Yuki stood within a void, facing an endless expanse of cosmic structures—infinite layers upon infinite layers of universes, each one a swirling nebula of possibility. They sprawled out in every direction, a tapestry of creation so vast that its scale defied any mortal comprehension. He could pluck one from the fabric of reality as easily as picking up a marble, turning it over in his hand to observe its intricacies.

For a moment, he scrutinized his work with the detached precision of a master architect inspecting a newly completed project. In less than a second, his gaze had swept across the infinite hierarchies, verifying their stability and perfection.

Satisfied, he released the massive battleship from his personal space. Now it was time to address the final arrangements for the survivors from the Black Bullet world—the innocent people and the Cursed Children.

For the ordinary citizens deemed "good," Yuki offered them a place within his newly forged multiverse. They could choose to be integrated into any layer of this infinite reality, their identities seamlessly rewritten to grant them comfortable, worry-free lives. Alternatively, they could opt for complete reincarnation, starting anew with a clean slate.

The choice was theirs.

Among the several thousand survivors, just over a hundred chose reincarnation. The rest preferred to keep their memories and begin again in a ready-made paradise.

Yuki respected their decisions. With a snap of his fingers, two grand gateways materialized—one for each path. The people parted ways, stepping through the arches toward their chosen futures.

Once they were gone, Yuki turned his attention to the Cursed Children.

With a casual wave of his hand, he carved out a entirely new domain beyond the established multiverse—a sanctuary of infinite scope, dotted with countless celestial bodies forged from his will. From these, he selected a single, perfect world to serve as their new home.

This realm was unique. Infused with Yuki power, it would constantly strengthen the Cursed Children who lived there. Its resources were boundless; pluck a fruit from a tree, and another would instantly grow in its place.

With another gesture, Yuki transported all the Cursed Children to this pristine world.

Under a sky of breathtaking blue, amidst fields of impossibly vibrant flowers, they found themselves surrounded by houses of every imaginable style—from sleek modern designs to dwellings straight out of fairy tales.

Their eyes widened with wonder and hopeful joy at the sight of this storybook world come to life.

"Go on," Yuki said, his voice gentle. "Pick the homes you like the most."

"Just remember—no fighting over them, alright?"

The girls, all clever and well-behaved, moved forward in an orderly fashion to choose their new homes.

Since this world was designed specifically for the Cursed Children, any difficulties they might face in daily life would be assisted by small, helpful sprites. These sprites were all female, ensuring they could relate well and coexist harmoniously with the young girls.

Aside from the Cursed Children, the Seitenshi would also reside here permanently.

She was joined by Tendou Kisara and Shishioh Miju.

After witnessing Yuki power and personal charisma, Shishioh Miju had firmly attached herself to him. Having dissolved the Shishioh family conglomerate, she didn't follow the others to lives in different universes. Instead, she chose to come here with the Holy Maiden and the rest.

Of course, this was within Yuki's expectations.

In addition to them, another adult joined the community: Dr. Shidou Arika.

In the original world, she was a scientist who held no malice toward the Cursed Children. While researching mechanized soldiers, she had also dedicated her work to studying the Gastrea virus, seeking a way to help the children overcome its curse. Thus, she had rightfully earned her place on the ark.

However, after boarding the battleship, she became utterly fascinated by the divine technology of the Celestials. This led her to seek out Yuki, and from then on, she, too, stuck to his side.
