Before the young Hanlin Academy historian could answer the Vice Minister of Rites' question, one of the rebel soldiers noticed them and kicked the Hanlin Academy historian in the back.

"Ugh…!" Falling hard to the ground, the young Hanlin Academy historian groaned in pain, but he didn't dare to fight back.
Noticing the commotion behind them, the captain turned around to take a look. Seeing the weak Hanlin Academy historian lying on the ground in pain, he coldly said, "Stop it. Don't kill them."
Being stopped by his captain, the rebel soldier retracted his leg, then yanked the Hanlin Academy historian up.
"Get up! Keep moving!" the rebel soldier shouted while pushing the Hanlin Academy historian's back.
Continuing on their way, the Vice Minister of Rites looked at his student in worry. "Are you alright?"
The young Hanlin Academy historian shook his head and gave the Vice Minister of Rites a weak smile. "This student is fine."
