Mo Yuan shook his head as he picked up a steamed bun and asked the soldier, "No. What news?"
The soldiers exchanged glances before another one asked cautiously, "You don't know that the Great General brought a young lady with him when he left the barracks this morning?"
Mo Yuan's hand paused in midair for a brief second before he reached for his bowl of porridge. "No," he replied flatly.
At his response, the soldiers looked at one another again, doubt and disbelief clearly shown on their faces.
Finally, one of them spoke up, "Vice General Mo, didn't General Zhan tell you anything about this young lady's identity? With his personality, and considering how close the two of you are, he would have told you for sure, right?"
Calmly chewing his steamed bun, Mo Yuan swept his gaze over them. After swallowing his food, he narrowed his eyes and calmly asked, "Is the Great General's affair something you can discuss so freely? Be careful, or you will lose your tongue."
