The party set up camp to get a few hours of sleep while Juno stood guard. Each member retired to their own individual tent, the sounds of the forest gradually fading as the fire dimmed and the night settled in around them.
But sleep was the last thing on Viola's mind, her thoughts remaining active and alert despite the quiet settling over the camp.
Exhaustion held no effect over her; she could recover her stamina instantly through her immense vitality magic and remain awake for a year if she chose to. She rarely cast this, though, as such behavior would appear abnormal to the outside world, and she genuinely enjoyed the luxury of sleep when time allowed it.
She waited until the camp grew silent, the last murmurs fading and the faint crackle of the dying fire settling into stillness, before activating her Veil skill. Stepping outside, she spotted Juno standing some distance away behind a massive, gnarled tree.
