Silvan didn't come out for dinner, he remained in his room. It had taken most of the day for him to strengthen his resolve, and if Alessio had come seeking him in that time, he would have crumbled completely.
He sat in his room, foregoing breakfast and picking at lunch. By the time the sun set, he had gotten into bed. It wasn't to sleep, rather, it was to keep his body from betraying him and going to Alessio's side.
Silvan was terrified of trusting Alessio, the thought that his father's letter would contradict Alessio's words clamped down and refused to let go.
His thoughts had devolved into complete chaos, so much so that he almost instinctively started praying for some clarity.
He hadn't forgotten about his father's request, he would personally go to the library first thing the next day and then spend the days until he received a letter from his father perusing books on creatures that the library had records of.
