All the eyes in the room were on Eva, waiting for her to carry on with her explanation.
The frown on Grandfather Chen's face deepened.
"What do you mean?"
Eva pulled her lips into a thin line, then sighed.
"I didn't want to bring this up since it would make Lillian suspicious. But I saw her yesterday at an event. She pulled me aside.
Maybe I am thinking too much and Lillian isn't behind it. Even though I don't know how she got access to the event, in the end, she must have her connections and reasons. This is just Dad's bad luck at this point."
"That little—" Mary enunciated through her gritted teeth.
Then, being aware of Grandfather Chen's presence, she held back her temper and spoke out, "Even if she holds a grudge against us, there is a limit! She should be thrown behind the bars to learn her lesson! About time, we stop shielding her."
Jason knitted his brows deeply.
"There is no evidence linking her to it. Lillian wouldn't go that far."
