Mary pushed Eva forward, wearing a friendly smile on her face.
"Chairman Xu," she spoke out, "My daughter has been preparing for a while for your birthday.
She was wondering what would please you the post until she learned you enjoyed paintings from Allen. Therefore, she tried her best to collect one for your sake."
Eva shyly lowered her line of sight. "This is nothing much. I have heard a lot about Chairman Xu and appreciate him."
Hearing that the artwork was from Allen caused the old man's eyes to brighten up with expectations. He said, "There was no need for you to take the trouble. It must have cost a lot."
Eva shook her head.
"It is all worth it if you like it."
Just then, the painting by Allen was brought over. Eva personally took over the duty of unveiling the painting. While she did so, everyone watched in anticipation.
