"The Gods' Feast"
Drake sat in the headquarters' hall; after returning from the Hostess of Fertility, he immediately reported the events to Hephaestus.
Neither Bete's revelation of Drake's secret nor the conflict with the Loki Familia was something he could handle alone.
Hephaestus wore an expression of disapproval; she hadn't expected a Loki Familia member to act so recklessly.
Due to her relationship with Loki, Hephaestus couldn't criticize Loki's follower too harshly.
However, she was more concerned about the upcoming trouble.
The Hostess of Fertility was a popular adventurer tavern. Besides the Hephaestus and Loki Familia members, many other Familia members were present.
The news would spread throughout Orario the next day; Drake couldn't remain hidden.
This was more pressing than dealing with the Loki Familia.
"That Loki Familia idiot acted foolishly; he must be punished!"
This wasn't said by Drake or Hephaestus. Hephaestus glared at Tsubaki. "Enough of that nonsense. I'll handle the Loki Familia.
Tsubaki, tell everyone to increase the price of equipment sold to the Loki Familia by 30%; withhold any undelivered equipment. We're not finished until Loki bleeds!"
Hephaestus dismissed Tsubaki, turning to Drake. "I'll get compensation from Loki, but that's not the current problem."
Drake nodded. "I understand, but I've thought about it on my way here. Since hiding is impossible, I won't hide."
Hephaestus smiled. "You're acting like a hero from the stories. In that case, join me at Ganesha's feast tomorrow!
It'll let those idle fools see you, preventing them from doing anything unnecessary."
Drake nodded; a gods' feast… might be interesting.
The next day, Drake, accompanied by Hephaestus in a dress, arrived at the Ganesha Familia's venue.
The Ganesha Familia was one of Orario's top Familias; Ganesha, besides being the elephant god, was also the god of the masses, maintaining good relationships with other gods.
In terms of numbers, even the Loki and Freya Familias might not surpass the Ganesha Familia; only the Demeter Familia, supporting Orario's agriculture, could compare.
The Ganesha Familia managed Orario's celebrations and maintained order, having the closest relationship with the Guild.
Drake remembered seeing Ganesha Familia members guarding the gates when he first arrived in Orario.
However, this god's taste… Drake looked at the massive Ganesha statue at the gate; the entrance was located… below the statue.
The entrance was oddly placed; many gods reportedly disliked it.
Forcing down his discomfort, Drake followed Hephaestus into the banquet hall.
The hall was lively.
Unlike regularly held god meetings, the feast had no specific purpose; it was purely for celebration.
Any god could hold one if they felt like it and had the resources.
Drake, following Hephaestus, saw many gods from and not from the original story.
"Oh, Hephaestus, you came!"
A blond male god approached; he was tall, handsome, and charismatic.
Hephaestus wasn't enthusiastic. "Dionysus, I don't recall being close friends."
Dionysus said, "Don't be so formal! Is this the rumored child?"
Drake looked at the charming god but didn't greet him. He knew the god's true nature.
Orario's other wine god besides Soma, Dionysus. Unlike Soma, who focused on brewing, Dionysus took a different path: chaos and revelry!
His other name was Enyuo, unknown even to Uranus, meaning "City Destroyer."
He and the Fallen Sprite collaborated, sending the Fallen Sprite's infant fragments to the surface through artificial labyrinths, planning to kill all adventurers with heroic potential in Orario.
Drake didn't hide his wariness, but Dionysus assumed it was due to Hephaestus's attitude.
Hephaestus said, "Leave unless you have something important."
"I won't disturb your enjoyment of the feast!"
Dionysus, unfazed, raised his goblet and left.
Hephaestus scoffed. "I can't see through him, but he gives me a bad feeling. Drake, stay away from him if you encounter him."
Drake nodded; Dionysus would reveal his true nature eventually; he wouldn't provoke him.
Hephaestus seemed to see something and walked towards it. Drake followed.
Then, Drake saw a small goddess stuffing her face at a table.
Compared to before, she had two new hair ornaments—a gift from her sole follower.
Drake recognized her: Hestia, expelled by Hephaestus.
Hestia, lacking funds for an expensive dress, wore casual clothes. But her youthful appearance and ample figure were eye-catching, making even simple clothes alluring.
"Hestia, how surprising! You came to the god's feast!" Hephaestus greeted her.
Hestia, like a hamster, swallowed her food. "Hephaestus? I need to talk to you!"
"Forget borrowing money!" Hephaestus said bluntly.
"I'm not here to borrow money…"
Before Hestia could finish, a boisterous figure rushed in.
"Little Bean Sprout, I see you!"
With Loki's arrival in a dress, Drake noticed a fighting spirit in Hephaestus's eyes.
It was like a butcher preparing to slaughter a fat pig.
