Chapter 5
**Leonardo's POV***
"Boss, she's not there". I heard my right hand say.
"What do you mean she's not there?. She doesn't usually go out, from school to her house and you tell me she's not there?". I said, already getting angry.
"We've kept a surveillance on the house for over a week now and we've not seen her come out, only her parents. Sir". He explained further.
How could this happen?.
"Who was on surveillance throughout last week?. Get me that person. I'll be in the weapon room". I said and walked away with my cigar in my mouth.
After five minutes of waiting for Vilo, my right hand, I heard screaming and struggling.
That means something is off.
The large wooden doors open for me to see Vilo and Dretas, one of my men, dragging Vincento and his brother in.
They both made them to kneel infront of me and their face was already pale, without blood.
"Now, where is she?". I asked, having no time to dilly-dally.
They kept mute but looked at each other with known glances. I brought out my gun and shot Atens, Vincento's brother, between the eyes.
"Start talking, else, you'll be buried in the same grave as him". I said, pointing my gun to Vincento's head.
I turned off the safety one more time.
"Zeno has her". He said, fear laced in his voice. I looked at him, sweating and shaking like an animal poured ice water.
"Zeno?. My brother, Zeno?. Fuck with me one more time and I'll feed you to the dogs. Believe me". I said, lowering my gun and putting it in my waist band.
"I'm not lying to you boss. The day that they came to the house, we were under surveillance as usual. They came when she was still in school and when she got home, they were still there". He said, literally crying.
"You could have relayed the message". I screamed, banging my fist on the table.
"I honestly tried boss, but when I picked up the phone to relay the message, three of his men was at the back of us, guns to our head. They said, if we talk, that be our last sunshine". He continued.
"Where did they take her?". I asked him.
"I don't know exactly but they followed the Daisy's avenue". He said, bowing his head and sniffling.
"Did you see him?". I asked, fear creeping into me.
"No. But I saw Herberto". He said and with this he drop dead infront of me.
What just happened?.
"Someone fired. Someone's in the house. Get them". I said, grabbing my gun and walking behind my men.
We all went out to the outside compound and still found our snipers in place.
Who shot?. And how did they get in?.
"Cazzo. We lost him, boss". Vilo said, sounding disappointed.
We all went back into the house and saw Vincento lying beside his brother with a bullet at the side of his head.
Zeno are you really back?. Are you out to get revenge?. That's none of my business, you played with the wrong mafia.
"Get me Intel on my brother's movement and also a lead on Aurora". I said to Dretas.
"Clear this out". I said, leaving my men there to go to my office but Vilo following closely behind.
When we reached my office, he closed the door behind him and sat in front of me.
"Boss. What is the next step?". He asked, looking at me hopefully.
"I have no idea, Vilo. Although the bastard's my twin, I have a dread for him". I told him honestly.
"Dread?. For Zeno Stefano?". He asked me, totally shocked.
"Yes. Killed over twenty armed men when he was fourteen with just a gun and a knife". I said, putting my cigar in the ash tray.
I could also see the shock in his eyes. The dread I felt, he too, was starting to feel it.
"But boss, he might not be as deadly". He said, trying to shake off the gravity of my brother's ruthlessness.
I let out a maniacal laugh.
"You really think so?. The Redas mafia, who do you think took them down and had a claim over their lands?". I asked looking at him squarely in this face.
The Redas was a really powerful mafia, claiming and killing little or inexperienced mafias that double crossed them, till they did business with my brother.
They are not usually transparent in their dealings but their partners don't usually have a choice, either except it or be killed.
My brother, unfortunately for them, took their methods personally and when they didn't fulfill their end of the bargain, he rained hell on them. Honestly thought it was going to be the last day I hear of him.
"So I hope you understand why I'm on edge like this right?". I asked, standing up from my chair, going to the wooden frame window.
"But what happens to Aurora?. Remember you were promised her". Vilo said, taking a snug from his cigar.
"I have no idea. But I want a full background check on her. Zeno won't waste his time on someone that doesn't have a connection to his business". I said.
He just bowed and left, putting me at the mercy of my head.
Zeno. You took someone I deem precious from me, because you think you can?. I'll get her back, even though it means having your head.
To think you sent one of your filthy errand dogs to my domain to kill one of my man.
I sat there, trying to suppress my anger, at the same time, trying to convince myself not to be scared.
For the fact he has kept her for over three days, it means he's comfortable with her, which also means he won't let her go so easily.
Just thinking of it, makes my blood boil. And that damn, Thomas Macini. You'll definitely pay for this betrayal.
It's like it's time to pay the fucker a little visit.
