"The world hasn't changed." That was Madara's final thought. Kneeling, drained, betrayed. The Infinite Tsukuyomi was fading. Kaguya was reborn in his shadow. And the gods of that world, Naruto and Sasuke, already looked at him as a relic.
He closed his eyes. He regretted nothing. But he no longer expected anything either.
Silence.
Then...
...the breath of wind.
A new land. A gentler sun. Fields of wheat bent by the breeze.
Madara opened his eyes. He was alive.
Not in his world. Not in a dream.
But in a place even his eyes had never seen.
He did not move. He observed.
Then he stood up.
Not to dominate.
To understand.
