After getting my warm mashed potato and practically inhaling it out of hunger i felt better.I had to go thank that kid for helping me out even after getting a side eye from the shopkeeper. I waited outside the shop for him. After about half an hour that guy came out.He glanced at me the decided to just ignore and walk past me . I was not about to let him just disappear on me so i held his wrist and i was trying my best to behave and be polite as i said "Hey thanks for earlier...i really appreciate that gesture.I was really hungry and now i feel better thanks to you."He just looked at me said a short "hmph" and turned to walk away.
The audacity of this kid...nope gotta calm down...i followed him..."So hey whats your name friend?"...."None of your business" he replied...what is wrong with him.Did he eat sour lemon for lunch to be in a mood like this.This was my last attempt at striking a conversation with him so i said..."You look kinda cool with all that gear...are you a warrior?"...that seemed to have gotten his interest...he looked at me then said "just a swordsman " yeah he definitely looked more than just a swordsman.
Then i spoke.."So not that its any of my business but what is your goal?"...he sighed "leave me alone can you not?..." yeahhh...well not the friendliest guy is he? I just raised my hand in surrender "alright alright...i will get out of your sight i just wanted to say thanks". I said as i stopped following him.
I saw him enter the forest at the outskirts of our village.I was just sitting near the small lake skipping rocks into it when i heard a loud *BOOM* from the forest area....my dumb side of the brain won as i sneaked inside the forest to see what was up and to my surprise I saw the kid from earlier battling a horde of Axons [Saber toothed lions with huge bodies and sharp claws].
Ohh my he looked so badass. His longsword shining as he blocked the attacks of axons.He killed two Axons in front of my eyes which lit up a fire inside me.Oh how i wanted to do that but i was a nobody .I had no magic and neither was i a prodigy. I saw him fight from the top of the tree that i had climbed.After some while that kid look exhausted and he was clearly struggling. When i saw one of the Axon attacking him from behind i instinctively took out the stone from my pocket that i used to throw in the lake earlier. I took that pebble and threw it at that Axon turning its attention to myself...i did it without thinking and now i was regretting it. That freaking Axon was right under me scratching at the tree i was on.That kid shouted at me "Why are you here?!! Its dangerous here." I replied with "No shit sherlock...it wasn't intentional...i have no interest in getting eaten by axons , i heard a loud sound and came here to check..who knew i would see you here battaling creatures who could kill us". He grunted at me as he fought off other axons..he than said something i didn't think i would hear from him "well since you are here help me theif boy"....excuse me! Theif? Me? Well yeah but no need to rub salt on my wound....and help? How is somebody like me supposed to help? Those are not rabbits those are goddamn axons. But i had to do something or else both of us would be history. I yelled "hey tough guy...the only think i am good at is my aim ...i am throwing pebbles at their eyes to blind them...rest is up to you!"....he immediately understood the assignment and nodded...i took out all the pebbles i had in my pockets and threw them one at a time at the eyes of the axons.And that kid was fast, he didnt miss a single opportunity and slit throats of those axons like butter.After a while we both were exhausted mess and the ground was a stream of blood and corpses.
