Energy -
Ki is not merely energy — it is the will of living beings made manifest.Every soul carries it, for it is born from life's drive to exist, endure, and grow. The stronger the soul, the greater the Ki it can hold. Even physical training, though it shapes the body, ultimately strengthens the soul, and in turn, the flow of Ki.
But Ki is not the only expression of this truth. In some worlds, the will of life vibrates at a different frequency, giving rise to what is called magic, mana, or other names. Though the form changes, the source remains the same — the living will.
Across different realities, this current takes countless shapes:
In some realms, beings channel Ki naturally.
In others, the same will-born force emerges as magic.
In still others, no energy manifests at all, though the potential lies dormant.Even in such worlds, given enough time and growth, that potential can awaken.
No matter its form, each energy holds its own strengths and weaknesses, bound to the nature of its frequency. The art of refinement is the act of stripping away that frequency, distilling the energy to its purest state — Chi.Chi is the highest and most adaptable form of energy, unbound by the limitations of its origin, able to harmonize with and surpass all others.
Energy Refinement -
All power born from the will of the living begins in its raw state — wild, untamed, and bound to the rhythm of the soul.Through battle, discipline, and hardship, warriors refine this energy, shaping it into a weapon that moves as they move, strikes as they strike.
Yet refinement cannot go on forever. Every path reaches a threshold — an invisible wall where mortal strength can rise no higher easily, like before. Beyond that wall lie two roads:
The Divine Path — bright, orderly, and easier to walk. Yet those who tread it are bound to the laws of creation, their strength always weighed and measured by reality's hand.
The Transcendent Path — perilous, without guide or safety. Each step is carved by the wielder's will alone. But those who endure its trials touch power unmeasured, unshackled, and infinite.
At the end of transcendence lies the greatest truth: all energy may be stripped of frequency, nature, and flaw, becoming Chi — the one pure force, beyond limits, beyond cost.
