The universe of Echoes of the Forgotten is made up of Nine Realities, interconnected yet distinct, each governed by its own elemental and spiritual laws. All are wrapped in the infinite void called The Sileneth, from which everything originated.
Astraen – The Realm of Souls
A liminal space between lives. Souls pass through here after death.
Time does not flow linearly here.
Watched over by the Scribes of Memory, ancient entities who record past lives in the Books of Echo.
Dari'el – Realm of Mortals
Where human-like beings live, including the protagonist's world.
Past life memories unlock here depending on one's emotional strength or trauma.
Each soul carries a Mark of Lineage, a soul code linking them to their forgotten past.
Kandarka – Battlefield of the Eternal Flame
A fiery world that holds the souls of warriors who died violently.
Echoes of war, weapons, and agony are imprinted here.
Daido Hans' past life as a warrior ended here.
Aierion – The Realm of the Godborn
Where divine-blooded beings and ancient demigods reside.
Time exists in loops, allowing rebirth and cyclical wars.
The omnigod first originated here, but transcended beyond its bounds.
Feralis – The Realm of Memory Eaters
A dark, cursed realm where creatures feed on unanchored memories.
Souls who fail to awaken their past are often dragged here.

Valdros – The Academy Plane
An intellectual realm where the Priests of Insight train reincarnated souls to manage their awakened powers.

Ciraeth – Realm of Emotional Echoes
A dreamlike realm formed purely of emotions left behind after death.
Souls can cross into this realm briefly in dreams or while unlocking trauma.
Akaido's voice in the void was echoing from here.
Novenex – The Machine Realm
An artificial realm built by ancient fallen gods to simulate memory and power.
Lost technologies and soul-altering machines exist here.
Elys'Kael – The Hidden Realm of the Omnigod
Exists outside time.
The omnigod views all timelines, planting subtle triggers into soul paths.
No one has entered this realm and returned.
II. Divine Hierarchy
The Omnigod – A being of unknowable power, it does not intervene directly but can subtly "nudge" events in motion. It is neutral and watches all souls for entertainment, curiosity, or cosmic balance.
Echo Lords – Beings created from accumulated memory energy. They can influence fate by twisting memory threads.
Scribes of Memory – Record all memories, judge whether they may be awakened or erased in each lifetime.
Voidborn – Corrupted beings that eat or overwrite past lives. Shiro Hanara is believed to be linked to them.
III. The Law of Soul Awakening
Every soul is born with fragments of past memories sealed in layers called Veils.
These veils break when:
A soul experiences deep emotional trauma or longing.
They achieve great power or spiritual resonance.
They come in contact with someone from a shared past life.
Once a soul awakens enough veils, they become a Chronosoul—a being capable of rewriting their fate and possibly defying death.
IV. The Grand Prophecy (whispered by the Scribes)
