Chapter 11 - OPRS: Chapter 11

People say that women in love are blind.

This couldn't be more accurate when describing the current Empress.

Perhaps the Celestial Dragons were truly the Empress's Achilles' heel, a single touch making her completely fall.

When Alistair said: he wanted to overthrow the Celestial Dragons, overthrow their ruling system, overthrow the entire World Government. His destructive power was greater than Luffy's punch that sent a Celestial Dragon flying. Especially for someone like the Empress, who was tough on the outside but soft on the inside, a former slave who had the heart but not the courage to fight the Celestial Dragons.

And Alistair wasn't Luffy. He was powerless, he couldn't even beat a normal Celestial Dragon guard, let alone beat up a Celestial Dragon to vent his anger. It was a miracle that he managed to escape from the Celestial Dragons, and now, wanting to improve his strength was only natural.

Though he had described the composition of this world and the interpretation of high-level combat strength, this didn't stop him from wanting to become a high-level combatant.

Though he was now twenty-six years old, the same age as the Empress, even a little older than Hancock, his strength was truly that of the lowest ant in the world of pirates. Even the little thief cat, Nami, was probably stronger than him.

This wasn't his fault. His body was truly that of an ordinary urban East Asian from his previous life. He hadn't exercised at all. When he came to the world of One Piece, he was twenty years younger. His six-year-old body had been well-fed and well-cared for by the Celestial Dragons, he hadn't suffered much, but he just couldn't grow.

Those ordinary people could easily surpass him physically.

He had also tried prisoner fitness in his room, but it had no effect. No matter how much he exercised, his physique was still worse than that of ordinary people who didn't exercise.

Clearly, the humans in the world of One Piece were inherently stronger than those in his previous technological society.

They were fundamentally different.

After being diagnosed by Belladonna, the doctor whose flower name was Belladonna, he could only come to this conclusion helplessly.

If that was the case, he didn't know if he could train Haki or eat Devil Fruits. This was what he was most hesitant about.

So, he should start by training Haki first.

Gloriosa sat on a tree trunk, and the Empress didn't deal with state affairs. She just sat with her two sisters, watching Gloriosa teach Alistair, as if watching a play.

There were very few people watching. The tall walls blocked beasts and prevented Amazonian warriors from coming out, so there were only a few of them. And Gloriosa's teaching was much gentler than that of the instructors in Amazon Lily.

As Gloriosa slowly explained, Alistair's understanding of the structure of Amazon Lily became more concrete.

Even in Amazon Lily, not everyone could learn Haki. First, they would lay a foundation from a young age, identifying who was more suited to which type of Haki. From Armament Haki to Observation Haki, they would learn different types of Haki from a young age. Those with more slender bodies were more suited to Observation Haki. For example, Sandersonia's Observation Haki was stronger. Those with sturdy bodies were more suited to Armament Haki. For example, Marigold's Armament Haki was stronger.

After learning one type of Haki, they would continue to learn another type that they didn't know.

Until they mastered both types of Haki and skillfully applied them to their bows and arrows, they could become national warriors.

After several years as national warriors, when the next batch of national warriors matured, the Empress would take them on board and sail out to plunder. In this way, the Amazonian warriors would accumulate and grow generation after generation, becoming incredibly powerful.

Every Amazonian warrior who boarded the ship would know Haki. Combined with the Amazonian-specific snake bow, they shot fast, far, and with incredible power, comparable to artillery fire. Let alone pirate crews, even warships wouldn't be able to take them down. It would probably take at least one Marine Admiral, working with several Vice Admirals, to stop the Kuja Pirates.

This was truly a force to be reckoned with.

And Haki was the only reason they could overcome their disadvantage in numbers.

So, he had to master Haki no matter what.

This was one of the only two paths to survival in this world.

Gloriosa was a veteran powerhouse. She was the one who brought the Empress and her sisters back to Kuja Island from Sabaody Archipelago. The Empress and her sisters probably learned Haki from her.

Like Rayleigh, she naturally had some tricks for using Haki.

With Alistair's intelligence, he understood it as soon as she said it. But understanding it was one thing, but Haki was a mysterious physical power, as mysterious as internal energy, internal strength, and true essence.

Rayleigh only had one method for training Luffy: close your eyes and train until you die.

He could understand this mysterious method. It was like when he played PUBG. When he had a good feel for the game, he could easily get 10 kills in a game. That was a high-level, 5,000-point segment. But when he had a bad feel for the game, he would just get obliterated.

Professional players trained and practiced tirelessly for years to maintain this feel, and they kept it up until they retired.

If feel was equal to Haki, then it was easy to understand.

Understanding it was one thing, but achieving that feel was another, and being able to use it freely was yet another.

In short, though he understood the basics, he still had a long way to go. For ten whole days, he recovered his body, ate a lot of sea king meat-filled pastries, but he still didn't make any progress.

He knew in his heart that those with strong bodies were good at Armament Haki, so he, with his frail body, had to start with Observation Haki. And Observation Haki was a type of Haki that heavily relied on talent. Strong people like Katakuri could predict the world a few seconds ahead, hear the heartbeats of sea kings, and talk to the Zou. But the weak couldn't even get through the door.

Observation Haki was even more dependent on talent than Armament Haki, and it was even more mysterious.

He couldn't help but feel a little discouraged, but his relationship with the Amazonian warriors in town became increasingly close.

Every day after his training, he would go to Lotus's tavern to eat and drink, telling them his adapted version of One Thousand and One Nights.

The Amazonian girls naturally liked this "rare beast" whose stories never ended.

But on the eleventh day, a piece of news stopped his training and gathered all the Amazonian warriors.

Because, unsurprisingly,

Outside the main gate of Kuja Island,

A warship was docked there, showing off its might.

The Marines had finally arrived!
