He just watched till all the guards in the room were killed. Then he watched as his body made its way out of the room, looking around, finally grasping how big this underground prison—or more like a cave—was. He couldn't really tell. His room was at the last end of the underground cave, with sides of the wall having up to 10 rooms or cells on both the left and right of it, making it a total of 20 rooms, plus his—21.
He could see more guards coming from what seemed like an open side of the wall. He could feel they were far stronger than the ones he just killed, probably Awakeners, but it seemed the voice didn't care. He could also see Aria among them, geared up, wearing armor. He wondered how she fit all that in with that huge rack of hers. She was also wearing arm guards and holding a sword. She was probably an Awakener herself.
He still didn't know why she ran away from him earlier. Was it because she couldn't take him on her own? Anyway, the voice was already assessing all of them. As soon as they were in sight, the first guard shouted, "Stand down! We don't want to hurt you, so just surrender!"
Everyone gave him a weird look, including me. I could even hear the voice mutter, "Is he dumb or what?" making me cringe. Because from the look, he seemed to be the captain, so him saying that despite knowing what they do here made it all disturbing.
As soon as the guard captain noticed the look, he gritted his teeth and chanted something before he shouted, "Fireball!" Then he pointed his hands straight at me. Then, out of thin air, a huge ball of fire the size of a basketball was thrown my way.
I was pretty sure that was the power of an Awakener, since he shot fire out of his hands. And with the way it looked, it would probably cook up anyone back on Earth. Since he knew he wouldn't be the one handling this fight, he just sat back there and watched the fight. He wasn't even scared of dying, so whatever happened, he didn't care.
As the fireball was coming his way, he could feel two more of those tentacle-like spikes coming out of his waist along with the earlier two, making an X, using it as a shield, more like crossing his arms. The fireball touched the spike and exploded. I was surprised that small basket of fire carried that much power. Though it wasn't much of a show, this was still another level of experience for him.
After that, as soon as the smoke from the flame cleared up, he could see the guards' tense faces when they looked at those tentacles. I mean, who could blame them when that stuff just blocked down the little magic trick they just pulled out?
Then, like a flash of light, one of the spike tentacles moved, and the captain guard's head was chopped off. My eyes widened. I didn't even see it move; I just felt it. And the next thing I knew, the guard was dead.
When the others noticed, they grew cold feet and wanted to make a run for it. I mean, come on, that was probably the strongest guard, and he died like that. I am pretty sure he didn't know how he died either, because that thing had to be fast. So he just died like that.
Seeing them trying to flee, the voice moved his body. The next thing, more heads fell. In total, there were 25 of them. He moved, making the spike tentacles chop off an arm or a leg or heads, moving the claws, grabbing them by their throats and dragging out their voice boxes, smashing heads to the ground. It was a clear bloodbath.
It felt like the voice was enjoying it because of the way it moved my body. I could feel the excitement, the thrill. Blood sprayed all over my body. Even if I wasn't the one controlling it, the sensation, the feeling—I could feel it all.
Once the last guard was dead, the voice turned to look at Aria, who was frozen in fright, couldn't move, and just stood there. The voice moved one of the tentacles to kill her. I could feel it. Then I shouted, "Don't kill her!"
The voice asked, "Why?" And I replied, "She's going to be useful. I just need something that's going to ensure her loyalty, like turn her into a slave or something—like something that's going to kill her if she ever betrays me."
The voice then replied with a laugh, then said, "Oh, are you sure you're not saving her just because of her body?"
I didn't reply. I just kept staring at Aria. Not like I cared about her or anything—I needed answers about how I really got here in the first place, or more like how the owner of this body got here. It seemed like I had already accepted this body as its new owner. And I could also make use of her in other ways.
Staring at Aria, who had her eyes widened, seeing the tentacle just an inch away from slicing her neck, she peed herself in fright, and I was like, "What the hell?" Well, I couldn't blame her. I could see the voice didn't even mind that at all, just called her, "Come here."
She took time to process what she just heard. She didn't know why she didn't die, but she just moved forward with trembling hands and legs, still gripping the sword in her hand. As soon as she was within the voice's range, it asked, "Do you know why I didn't kill you?"
Aria shook her head. The voice moved one of the tentacles, smacking the sword away from her hands, and asked her to kneel down and turn her back. Aria did as she was told, probably due to fear. She was more obedient.
As soon as she turned her back, one of the tentacles moved, cutting off the armor she wore and also the clothes she wore, leaving her bare back for him to see. Then the voice moved one finger, which looked like a claw or an eagle talon, drawing some magic circle on Aria's back while chanting something.
Though Aria felt the pain from how the claws were piercing her back, she didn't scream and just kept staring at the ground. The voice then pierced my left arm with the eagle claws, enough to draw blood, while dropping it on the magic circle that was already glowing with red light.
As soon as the blood dropped on her back, the wound miraculously closed, just leaving a tattoo sign of the magic circle. From my point of view, it looked like a great design. Looking down, I could see Aria trembling with wide eyes. She hurriedly turned to me, looking at me. Then I heard the voice say to her, "That's a slave mark linked to your heart. If you ever have the thought of betraying me, you will feel your heart getting squeezed until you die. So now you are my slave."
After the voice finished, it moved to the side and punched it, making all the underground shake, making it look like it was about to cave in. After that, the voice destroyed the large circle on the ground which was filled with crystals, probably etherium crystals, also known as mana crystals.
After breaking the circle, it moved to one of the doors out of the 20 rooms.
I asked, "Why did you punch the wall just now?"
And the voice replied, "There was a barrier from down here to up there, and if we didn't break it down, we probably wouldn't get out of here. And if you ask about the circle, that's a teleportation circle. If I left it, as soon as the guy feels the barrier broken, he will come through that circle, and he is not someone I can deal with currently because your body is too weak. And if I inject more powers into it and try to take control of it, your body will probably explode. So that's why."
And I replied, "OK."
Then he went on opening all the doors. From there, kids came out, with there being only five, meaning three girls, two boys. Seeing their age range, the two girls who appeared to be twins were probably 16 from the looks of it and were elves at that, while the other girl appeared to look a bit older than the twins, probably 17 or 18. And one of the guys, who had a baby face but had a bodybuilder's body, though he appeared to look 17, his muscles gave off the vibe of someone older. And the last one looked like 17 too, with a scar on his right eye side, though it didn't affect the way he looked.
