The Root Ninjas were not intimidated in the slightest by Mereoleona's move of covering her hands in flaming adamantine chains and provoking them with words.
(They were machines, programmed to ignore such theatrics.)
They continued to move in a strategic manner, executing their pre-planned actions. Four of them swiftly surrounded Mereoleona in a tight circular formation and attacked her simultaneously with their short swords, using the assassination technique generally employed by the Root Ninjas.
Four consecutive sword attacks instantly fell upon Mereoleona. She defended against all of them by bringing her hands up, which were now covered in the blazing adamantine chains like proper armour. The chains protected her hands perfectly; a shower of sparks erupted as they collided with the razor-sharp blades. Even after taking the impact of all four swords, Mereoleona was barely moved or put under any kind of pressure.
(Their blows felt like insect stings.)
With a surge of raw power, Mereoleona then pushed back in return, releasing a powerful wave of fire from her body that expanded in a quick, circular manner, violently forcing the Root Ninjas to recoil and back away several steps.
She then targeted one of the Root Ninjas, dashing towards them like a meteor of flesh and fire. The ground instantly cracked and scorched around the position from where she charged, leaving smoking prints in her wake. When Mereoleona's fist, covered in churning flames and adamantine chains, collided with the short sword the Root Ninja had frantically raised to defend against her attack, the ninja was immediately propelled backward. The defensive posture was useless. Not only that, Mereoleona's fist continued moving at incredible speed to finally connect with the Root Ninja's face, instantly engulfing it in flame.
The ninja's mask shattered due to the overwhelming impact and heat. The ninja tried desperately to defend himself, flailing his arms to extinguish the sudden, painful inferno, but it was all useless. His attempts to smother the flame covering his face were utterly futile, and soon only a charred ruin of a face remained, which collapsed to the ground. The Root Ninja was totally crushed and incinerated by Mereoleona's devastating attack.
But Mereoleona didn't even pause to see the result of her strike.
(She was already gone, focused only on the next threat.)
She was instantly behind another one of the Root Ninjas, her fist already driving forward into their back. As soon as her punch landed, a devastating, fiery beam shot out from the ninja's chest, punching through the flack jacket. That Root Ninja instantly fell dead to the ground with a smoking hole in their chest where Mereoleona's fist had landed.
Just at this moment, two of the Anbu Ninjas acted in perfect sync, using Water Release: Waterfall Technique as a combined method, releasing a vast amount of water rushing directly towards Mereoleona. Seeing the powerful wall of water coming in her direction, Mereoleona showed no sign of panic or hesitation about how to dodge the attack. Instead, she let out a wide, roaring laugh and shouted, "You know, I love when someone else uses Water Release, because at that time I get to defeat and destroy that Water Release!"
After declaring this, Mereoleona clenched her fist and unleashed her signature move, Calidus Brachium. As soon as she executed this technique, a large, focused wave of pure, roaring fire was instantly released from her fist. The incredibly powerful fire beam collided head-on with the incoming waterfall—or to be precise, the massive water wave surging in her direction. For the first few moments, the fire and water seemed to be locked in a desperate stalemate, a furious, steamy hissing filling the air. But Mereoleona simply increased her chakra input, causing the Calidus Brachium to become even more intense and brilliant, effortlessly tearing apart the dense water wave. The two Anbu Ninjas who were using the Water Release: Waterfall Technique had no choice but to immediately retreat sideways, stepping aside so as not to be caught in the direct trajectory of the now-unimpeded fire wave, and they did so just in time.
This colossal fire wave directly hit the Hokage building, utterly destroying its outer wall. Seeing the imminent structural damage, many Anbu Ninjas who had previously been holding back immediately started getting involved. They hadn't engaged before because their primary duty was ensuring the safety of Hiruzen, the Hokage, but if Mereoleona's current rampage wasn't stopped, she would surely destroy the entire Hokage building.
Seeing even more ninjas rushing toward her with hostile intent, Mereoleona simply smiled—a fierce, predatory grin—and declared, "Yes, this is exactly what I want." After saying that, she activated her next move, Hellfire Incarnate. As soon as she initiated the technique, her whole body was instantaneously covered in a swirling, intense layer of fire. She looked less like a human and more like an incarnation of fire itself. The small water puddles and residual waves that had spread across the ground from the previous attack had also reached the area immediately surrounding her, but the water in her vicinity instantly began to evaporate and rise into the air as scalding steam, creating a dramatic, powerful display of strength around Mereoleona.

While Mereoleona was fiercely engaged in battle with the Anbu and Root Ninjas at the forefront, on the other two flanks, Guy and Benimaru were also being relentlessly attacked by waves of Anbu and Root Ninjas.
In Guy's hand, a long, wickedly sharp sword had materialized. Utilizing his extreme speed, he was cutting through the ranks of the Anbu and Root Ninjas as if they were nothing more than wet tissue. Even the handful of Ninjutsu they were using to attack Guy proved totally useless, as Guy generated powerful, shimmering barriers around himself that stopped those Ninjutsu cold, creating a perfect defence for him. Guy was, quite simply, an invincible force among these desperate Anbu and Root Ninjas.
