Khaos escorted her back to her carriage. And when she was fully settled in her seat, she was overcome with a sudden wistfulness, unable to let go of him just yet.
She opened the window to the carriage, peering at him who was still there, waiting for her carriage to depart like the 'gentleman' that he certainly wasn't.
"You still haven't told me what you think about my maternal grandfather's proposal?"
He chuckled darkly. "Must I comment on the foolishness of a foolish King." He said flippantly with the kind of ease only a man who had the world at his feet could use.
She faked a pout, glaring at him. "It's easy for you to say when it is my hand that he is forcing and not yours."
