As for Captain America in the last option?
Well, compared to the previous three options, this one seems much more normal.
However, when Captain America saw this option, his expression couldn't help but become somewhat strange.
Because it meant he might be a time anomaly!
And Captain America felt the possibility was quite high.
Because after the Endgame, when he returned to the past to return the Infinity Stones, he chose to stay in the past instead of returning, and instead lived there!
Wouldn't that be considered violating the rules of time?
Wouldn't that make him a time anomaly?
"Interesting. I didn't expect Mobius to be looking for Loki to capture a time anomaly." Tony Stark's voice rang out first. He glanced at the four "candidates." "Loki's family, Rogers… wow, this is a really interesting question. I'm quite curious to know who the Time Bureau is looking for."
"It shouldn't be Captain Rogers, right?"
Peter Parker immediately said, making a judgment. "The reason the Time Bureau is looking for Mr. Loki is probably because Mr. Loki is familiar with that time anomaly, right? Otherwise, why would they be looking for Loki?"
"From that perspective… I think it makes some sense." Sersi nodded in agreement.
"Peter, don't rush. It's not time for that yet. Before we analyze which time anomaly they're looking for, shouldn't we first analyze whether all the options are time anomalies?" Captain America calmly pressed Peter Parker down.
The others also agreed; this was indeed the correct analytical order.
Because the question didn't specify which person in the options was a time anomaly, they couldn't assume all the options were time anomalies.
If it's not a time anomaly, then the following analysis is unnecessary and it can be ruled out directly.
The people present then began to think and analyze whether it was a time anomaly.
"According to the intelligence we received before, the so-called time aberrations actually have nothing to do with time travel. They are people who haven't followed the script written by the Time Guardians,"
Loki shrugged. "We have no idea what the Time Guardians' script is, so we can't possibly know who the time aberrations are."
"That being said, I think Rogers is one,"
Thor said. "He lived in the past for decades, which shouldn't be allowed by the Time Bureau, right? I mean… Loki was judged to be a time aberration just for using the Tesseract to escape, but I think Rogers' actions are more excessive… You know what I mean, right?"
"On the contrary, my father Odin and I are both protecting Asgard, bringing peace to Asgard and the universe. We shouldn't be time aberrations."
"As for that female Loki… it feels really strange to know that Loki has a female counterpart. Since Loki is a time aberration, I think a female Loki is also possible."
Thor briefly explained his opinion on the four options.
"No, I actually think Captain America isn't a time traveler,"
Sersi offered a different, and more forceful, opinion. "Didn't you say Captain America lived in the past for decades? If he was judged to be a time traveler, how could he have lived for so long? He'd probably have been captured and taken back to the Time Bureau by now ,
right ?"
Thor was speechless.
Compared to his subjective speculation, Sersi's analysis was clearly more logical and convincing.
However, this also made Thor somewhat annoyed, as did Loki.
Wasn't the Time Bureau being too biased?
The female judge had clearly stated that the Avengers' return to the past was something that was supposed to happen, but Loki's escape wasn't.
And now, Captain America living in the past for decades was allowed.
These people were manipulating time!
It seemed far worse than Loki's escape!
If the previous time travel was to retrieve the Infinity Stones, that would be understandable, but Captain America's subsequent stay in the past was entirely for his own selfish reasons!
What kind of impact would someone living in the past for so many years have on the timeline?
No one dared to imagine.
Loki's escape was purely for self-preservation!
Yet the Time Bureau ruled Captain America's actions permissible, while Loki was arrested.
This truly left everyone speechless.
It also diminished their awe of the Time Guardian who had orchestrated everyone's life scripts, replaced by resentment.
The others then offered their opinions, but the conclusion was that they couldn't determine whether any of the options represented a time anomalies.
As Loki said, no one knew the "script" the Time Bureau had assigned to each person, so of course, they couldn't know who the time anomalies were.
This included Captain America.
While Sersi's statement that Captain America hadn't been arrested initially made sense, upon closer examination, it wasn't quite right.
Even if the past Captain America had been arrested, they wouldn't know!
Time doesn't work like in the movies, where the past influences the present. The working principle of time is the opposite: the past is the past, and the present is the present.
Past events do not affect the present.
Just like Loki, even though he was captured by the Time Bureau, does that mean he'll be killed by Thanos in the future?
"So, for now, we can only assume that everyone in the options is a time traveler," Tony Stark shrugged and suggested.
No one objected; for now, that was the only option.
Otherwise, there was no way to analyze the problem.
"Then let's assume all the options are time travelers and analyze them one by one,"
Captain America added, then began the first analysis, "Let's look at Odin first… no, let's look at Thor first. I think Thor should probably be ruled out."
"Why am I ruled out?" Thor couldn't help but ask curiously.
Everyone else present looked at Captain America, eagerly awaiting his answer.
"Everyone, look at the question. It says a time-traveling entity that's 'escaped,' meaning the Time Bureau can't capture it, which is why they're seeking Loki's help. So... Thor..."
"Rogers is right. Do you think Thor, with his intelligence, can evade the Time Bureau's pursuit?" Tony Stark was less forgiving, directly and scathingly stating Captain America's meaning.
Hmm!
Excellent point!
Hearing Tony Stark's words, everyone present couldn't help but nod silently in agreement, subconsciously glancing at Thor repeatedly.
Indeed, with his intelligence, it was impossible for him to do such a thing.
"Stark, you dare underestimate me?"
Thor immediately became displeased, letting out a cold snort. "While I'm not good at scheming, this Time Bureau wanting to capture me is a joke! I'll smash them all to pieces with one hammer!"
But no one bought into this.
Even if Thor was incredibly strong, he couldn't defy the power of time, could he?
The Time Bureau could manipulate other people's time!
Although it wasn't explicitly stated, everyone had a vague understanding: brute force wouldn't work to escape the Time Bureau's capture; only intelligence would suffice.
Of course, this didn't mean that physical strength wasn't important. In fact, anyone who managed to escape capture would be extremely powerful.
Because strength is a crucial condition for utilizing intelligence.
Without strength, even the best plan cannot be implemented.
In other words, anyone who escapes the Time Bureau must be a person of both intelligence and courage, with intelligence likely playing a greater role.
Excluding Thor, there's basically no doubt about it.
No one believes someone who only knows how to swing a hammer could be so easily defeated by the Time Bureau.
"Can't we rule out Captain America too?"
Peter Parker chimed in, pointing to the options on the screen. "Three of the options are people Loki knows, but Captain America isn't. So, I think we can rule him out."
Of course, the question didn't specify why the Time Bureau sought Loki's cooperation; whether they approached him to capture someone Loki knew is uncertain.
But logically, this possibility is considerable.
And besides…
"I don't think I can escape the Time Bureau's capture either," Captain America added.
Even if he's incredibly powerful, he's still just an ordinary human, incomparable to a god.
Even a god like Loki was captured by the Time Bureau; how could an ordinary human like him escape?
With his super serum?
With his extensive experience as a secret agent?
Captain America doesn't think so.
In terms of intelligence, he might not be higher than Loki, but in terms of combat power, he was miles behind Loki!
Considering all these reasons, Captain America was also eliminated without much doubt.
"So, is it Odin or Loki?"
Sersi asked, looking quite interested, and gave her answer, "I personally lean towards Loki. If it's about capturing Odin, why doesn't Mobius cooperate with Odin? Wouldn't that be better? After all, no one knows you better than yourself."
"The answer won't be my father!"
Thor said decisively. "My father is the King of the Gods. He wouldn't back down even against the Time Bureau! He would only use his own power to fight and resist! Running away... only Loki would do that, right?"
"So, if my father can be eliminated, I can be eliminated too! The reason I'm eliminated is that I would never run away, not what you all say!"
Although everyone didn't quite agree with Thor's reason for being eliminated, they generally had no doubt that Odin was excluded.
After discussion, the answer to this question was decided to be female Loki.
Following everyone's usual answering habits, since the question concerned Loki, the spot naturally fell to him.
"Interesting, this is a question about me, and the answer is me too." Loki smiled and gave his answer, "I choose C, female Loki."
[Correct answer!]
[Congratulations to Loki Odinson for receiving the reward: Hollow Grimoire Steelhide!]
The system immediately issued a notification.
At that moment, Loki clearly felt a corresponding change in his body.
The Hollow Grimoire Steelhide was "infused" into Loki's body.
"It really is female Loki~" Loki smiled rather amusedly before specifically assessing his current state. A
satisfied smile appeared on his face.
"Loki, what reward did you get? What's this 'Gilian Steel Skin' thing?" Thor couldn't help but ask Loki, seeing his brother grinning from ear to ear.
"'Steel Skin'? Skin like steel? Mr. Loki, is that what you mean?" Peter Parker asked, equally eager to guess.
"Well." Loki's smile grew even more wicked. "Just as you said, this skill grants me incredibly strong defense, making my skin as hard as steel. It's a very suitable ability for me."
"'Like steel,' is that a metaphor, or a description of an objective fact, indicating that your skin's hardness is comparable to steel?"
Tony Stark asked, staring at Loki with the meticulousness of a scientist.
This immediately stumped Loki, because he didn't know how hard steel on Earth actually was, or how it compared to his own skin.
"Good question, Tin Man~ That's interesting. Although I call you Tin Man, I'm actually the real Tin Man, and you…"
Loki said, a hint of arrogance appearing on his face, "you're just relying on a metal shell. Yes, you're the Tin Man, and I'm the Tin Man! I think my metal shell is definitely harder than yours."
"Is that so?" Tony Stark raised an eyebrow, not to be outdone. "I bet I can punch a dent in you."
"Mr. Loki, what is a Hollow Grimaldi?" Seeing that Tony Stark and Loki were about to start arguing, Peter Parker immediately asked,
trying to divert their attention.
And his move worked immediately; Loki indeed began to answer Peter Parker's question: "It's a monster from another world. The skin of this monster is extremely hard, impervious to swords and blades, hence the name 'Steel Skin.' The Steel Skin I have now is the hardness attribute of this monster's skin."
"Grimaldi, what a strange name," Sersi couldn't help but say.
