The next day, a group of magicians, led by Carl, went to Alicia's room. Alicia greeted them with sincerity. Carl asked the rest of the magicians to give them some privacy. Alicia was surprised to see this.
Alicia asked,
"What's wrong? Why did you suddenly ask them to go outside, Sir Mage?"
Carl replied,
"Let me introduce myself first. I am Carl Windsor. I am from the Windsor family, which is located near the border, near Delnet. Does the name Windsor ring a bell?"
Alicia, after some thinking, replied,
"Oh, of course, the Windsor family. I heard the house was promoted to a Marquessate due to their great contributions in the previous war. I am glad they got recognised for their contributions, and to think that a master mage hails from that family... Truly, it is wonderful."
With an upsetting feeling, Carl thought,
"So, as I suspected, the Count has not told her anything about Windsors or me... I thought maybe... just maybe he would have changed..."
Alicia, who watched Carl's face go upset, was quite confused. Sensing Alicia's confusion, Carl quickly recovered with a calm smile, which seemed to be hiding something. He replied,
"Yes, it seems my family is blessed with abundance thanks to the Goddess. So, shall we begin the assessments?"
Alicia nodded enthusiastically. He called the mages in. They started with elemental magic's assessment. Alicia was instructed to keep her hand on a clear, shiny sphere, which glowed blue and green.
Carl spoke,
"Hmm, it seems that she has a high-level attribute for water magic and a mid-level attribute for wind magic. (towards Alicia) So, shall we move on to the types of dark magic you might have?"
Alicia replied,
"Yes."
Carl spoke, "(Towards other mages) the Emperor said that she has concealing magic, let us check for that first."
Alicia was instructed to place her hand on a dark purple sphere and release the magic as she did before. Alicia did as instructed, and some golden letters, which she didn't understand, appeared. Carl, shocked after reading those letters, spoke,
"Oh... it seems the lady has high-level attributes for concealing magic and transforming magic? I don't think I have ever seen or read about such a combination... (towards other mages) Have you seen anything like this?"
All the other mages, who were also shocked and speechless seeing that, nodded no. Everyone was shocked by this unexpected result, except Alicia, who was very confused by all their reactions. Carl quickly said,
"I have to go... I need to report this immediately."
With Carl, all the mages moved with urgency. Carl quickly went to the Magic Emperor and explained everything. The Magic Emperor was astonished by the news.
He kept repeating,
"Is that even possible?"
Alicia, who followed Carl, waited by the door. He called her in and explained,
"Child, it seems you have a very rare no, a combination of magics that has never been recorded. (Alicia, who was confused before, light up) Guess this is what you can call your magic..."
