As Alicia travelled in a carriage full of the Emperor's luggage, she continued to cry, grieving the loss of her parents, and slowly lost consciousness. After a whole night passed, she woke up due to the Sunlight and caught a glimpse of the Imperial Capital, Serandria. When the luggage carriage stopped at the Imperial Palace's gates for checking, Alicia sneaked out of the carriage and hid under the bushes. Suddenly, someone grabbed her from behind, which made her fall.
Terrified of being caught, she tried to get up and run, but was stopped by the same man who said, " I am not going to hurt you, princess; rather, I'm here to save you." Alicia recognised the kind voice of the gentleman and turned around. She gasped, " Uncle Alfred!". Sir Alfred, who saw Alicia sneak into the Luggage carriage, was relieved to see his master's daughter alive and out of danger. When he saw her sneak out, he saw that as a chance to save her from the clutches of the Emperor. He took her to his home, washed her injuries, and put some medicine on them. He gave her some food and started explaining to her why her beloved Uncle took the life of her father.
