Chapter 5 - Chapter -5 Sending the letter.

Chapter -5

Since the amount of beautification paste I required to send to that certain someone was acquired, I cleaned up the remaining paste with a wave of my wand and then placed the tube inside my robe's pocket while picking up the vials full of beautification potion to hand them over to Matilda.

With my job done here, I made my way out of the dungeon lab and arrived back in the shop, which, as usual, was thriving with a few customers. Placing the vials on the front desk, I said with a smile, "Here are your potions, and I'll see you tonight."

"Alright, see you tonight, Severus," Matilda replied, grabbing the vials and placing them in the drawer immediately, as she knew that exposing them to the sun could deplete their supposed effects.

With a date with a beauty on my plate and another beauty almost in the palm of my hand, I made my way out of the shop and began to walk through Knockturn Alley. Since there were no owl services here, I would have to go back to Diagon Alley and spend some sickles or whatever; counting money is not my forte unless they are all galleons.

Upon arriving at the end of the alley, I once again joined the normal crowd of the wizarding world, who had no idea what went on behind their backs and how dangerous this world really was. But leaving the dark theories aside, which only interested a few, I now stood in front of the Owl Emporium, which also rented owls for delivery services.

"Professor Snape, are you here to purchase an owl?" the shop owner, naturally recognizing the large bat that was me, said with a large smile. Looking at him, I felt as if he was preparing to empty my pockets if I were to say yes; but sadly for him, that was not the case. "Nope, I desire a delivery service from one of your owls, so get me one of the fastest," I said, my voice as cold as the Atlantic.

The shop owner's big smile froze, not because of my denial to purchase an owl, but because of my attitude.

This man in front of him could really bring a dead man to life and could kill him with his emotionless voice. However, as those were inner thoughts that could not be expressed, the shop owner put a small smile on his face and said, "As you desire, Professor." Without waiting for even a second, he made his way to the back of the shop.

Meanwhile, I suddenly realized that I needed to write a letter as well; otherwise, there was no way that woman would recognize who I could be with just the tube of beautification potion. Looking around, I picked up the trash lying on the table of the shop and waved my wand, saying, "Vera Verto." The trash immediately transformed into a long letter. Seeing this, I waved my wand again to write what I wanted to convey to her.

[Tuney, how have you been...?]

Though I initially wanted to address her by her full name, I thought about how she was a woman who desired affection and even more attention. I decided to call her by the nickname Lily used to call her, which Severus probably used a few times when her relationship with lily wasn't so sour.

With my thoughts conveyed in the letter, I took out the beautification tube and placed it on the letter. I tapped my wand on it, sealing the letter around the tube so that it could only be opened by her.

"Sorry for making you wait, Professor. This guy here has a slight attitude, but he will do the job in no time," the shop owner said as he came out with a slightly larger owl than average, one that was prone to attract attention. I definitely didn't care about that; what I really cared about was getting the job done as soon as possible. I immediately handed the package to the shop owner after writing the address, and the owl flew away after its owner tied the letter to its leg.

"How much?" I asked, and then immediately handed over the sickles after the shop owner stated the amount.

...

"Mom, Dad, can we buy lots of books? I don't want to miss anything!" As I was making my way back toward the open fireplace of Diagon Alley, I heard a loud girlish voice from behind me. When I turned to look, I saw a few familiar faces.

"Did McGonagall give her admission letter this time around?" I couldn't help but think while seeing one of my favorite characters from the movie, though possessing one myself was another matter.

"You can buy everything you want, dear, but first we'll have to find the bank. What's it called...?" Mr. Granger smiled at his daughter while reading a letter, as if he were on some vacation trip to a historical site or something.

"It's Gringotts, Dad," Hermione puffed her cheeks, feeling that her dad was wasting too much time looking at the letter while she could browse for books and other things to avoid lagging behind the others.

Seeing the happy family moment, I suddenly got an idea.

Initially, I had planned to build a good relationship with Harry Potter and not treat him like some kind of roadside trash. But now that I think about it, if I were to play the role of a wannabe good stepdad with Harry, the old Dumbledore would definitely have something to say about that.

So instead of choosing that route, after getting into a good relationship with Tuney, I thought it would be more than enough to let him have a good day at his aunt's home. Meanwhile, I could definitely play the role of a good professor with Hermione if I were to act from here, showing her only my fake yet good side; allowing me have the control over most of the trio actions.
