Aeralious Ramford was amazed by the sight before him. The piercing light practically bypassed the many defenses of the Sky Citadel, and it did so with aura.
'To think Lucen Thornehart had created rifles that could keep their bullets coated in aura even after leaving the weapon... How did he prevent it from dispersing?'
Aeralious did not feel any fear, only curiosity. He wanted ot learn more, to create more, but in the back of his mind, he knew that this might be his final moments.
Another volley struck the barriers. The outermost layer broke beneath the concentrated impacts. Fresh light rose behind it, catching the rounds that had passed through.
Aeralious leaned forward, watching closely. One projectile struck the final barrier across the passage. Its light faded as it fell, bouncing across the stone before stopping near his feet.
The Sky Citadel was shaking, but that didn't bother Aeralious. "We need to climb higher! Let us climb!"
