Kaguya Ōtsutsuki released Sasame.
Her pale red lips glistened with a faint, moist sheen. She blinked her pure white eyes, her eyelashes trembling slightly as she tilted her head to look at him.
With her power, she had long since noticed the presence of Koyuki Kazahana. However, she only cared about one person. All other humans were like ants in her eyes.
Sasame met her gaze.
The cold sunlight of the Land of Snow fell on her pristine white hair and fair skin, making her look truly like a yōkai from legend, a Yuki-onna.
"Is something wrong?"
Seeing that she hadn't moved, Sasame couldn't help but ask.
Kaguya reached out and caressed his face. The warmth of his skin stirred something within her. It was the same feeling she had when Sasame said, "I'll always love you"—her heart had sped up for a moment.
For her, this was unprecedented. At her level of power, she could control every bodily reaction. In other words, a quickened heartbeat was abnormal.
She didn't understand it.
So she leaned in and bit his lips. This time, the kiss lasted longer. And that quickened heartbeat returned once more.
Her pure white eyes reflected his handsome face. After a moment, a smile graced her lips. It was a cold smile, but breathtaking all the same.
Sasame was about to say something when Kaguya turned away and walked toward the Box of Ultimate Bliss. She reached out and touched the box, a look of sudden realization in her eyes.
She contemplated it for a moment, then chakra surged from her palm, quickly enveloping the box.
Perhaps sensing danger, the Box of Ultimate Bliss shuddered violently, and countless dark, cold figures floated out. They were souls. During the era of the Six Paths, Kusagakure had used the box to harvest numerous lives. The souls and emotions had been sealed inside, causing the Yin-style chakra within to grow increasingly potent.
Kaguya glanced at them, her face devoid of emotion.
Byakugan Pressure!
The souls recoiled in terror, rapidly retreating back into the box.
Crack!
Cracks appeared on the surface of the Box of Ultimate Bliss. The material that could withstand the Rasengan and Tailed Beast Bombs in the original story was as fragile as paper before Kaguya.
The cracks grew wider, eventually turning into fragments that peeled away. In moments, the Box of Ultimate Bliss ceased to exist.
Kaguya slightly raised her left hand, and the souls and emotions that had gathered together rapidly condensed into an arrow shaft. It was entirely transparent, with only a faint, subtle blue hue and an ethereal, spiritual aura.
The creation of the bow was not as swift.
Sasame watched for a while before turning his head toward Koyuki Kazahana. She hadn't left.
"Lord Sasame."
Koyuki noticed his movement, quickly looked away, and greeted him. She didn't know what the Box of Ultimate Bliss was, so she didn't understand the significance of Kaguya's actions. However, she could guess that Kaguya was incredibly powerful. After all, Kaguya was the one who took the initiative in their interactions.
"Is something the matter?"
Sasame nodded in response to her greeting.
"Tomorrow is the annual Snow Festival. Do you have time to attend this year, Lord Sasame?" Koyuki asked, her reaction swift after a two-second pause. She didn't really have anything to do; she just wanted to spend more time with Sasame since she rarely saw him. The Snow Festival, however, was not something she had made up. It was a holiday created to celebrate the restoration of her country. In her mind, though, it was more of a celebration of her first meeting with Sasame.
Kaguya suddenly turned her head. Although she said nothing, Sasame understood what she meant. She had probably been here for too long and wanted to go out.
"Yes, I'll attend." Sasame paused, then added, "But there's no need to make a big fuss. I'll just have a look around."
The beautiful smile on Koyuki's face faltered slightly. Still, she didn't dare to ask for more and nodded. "I understand. I'll make the arrangements now."
Kaguya glanced at her. She said nothing, turning back to continue crafting her bow. This was her first time doing such a thing, but since it was a rare request from her subordinate, she had to make it as well as possible. Otherwise, it would be a blemish on her name as Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.
Sasame didn't leave, watching her work. The more he watched, the more he marveled. Her power was truly terrifying. She needed no skill, only pure, overwhelming force. In her hands, anything was subject to her will.
But he quickly noticed the cold smile on Kaguya's face. It was like a child encountering a favorite toy.
He was slightly taken aback. When he thought about it, Kaguya was very much like a child. Even if she had lost her childhood.
Not long after, a black bow was forged. Kaguya pointed, and the earlier arrow shafts flew into the bow. With a casual tug, a faint arrow appeared on the bowstring. Kaguya glanced at Sasame, aimed at the sky, and released the arrow.
The arrow vanished instantly. In Sasame's senses, it reached a distance of dozens of kilometers in a single second. This range rivaled the Kagura Mind's Eye and surpassed the Byakugan by more than a dozen times. It was a perfect demonstration of saturation striking.
Boom!
The arrow exploded. It looked like a gigantic firework in the sky, visible to everyone in the capital of the Land of Snow.
"Do you like it?" Kaguya tilted her head and asked softly. "The books said you humans like fireworks."
Sasame was stunned. This was the epitome of unintentional seduction.
Sasame walked up to her, a natural, warm smile on his face. "I love it."
"Take me to the Snow Festival tomorrow," Kaguya said, placing the bow in his hands.
"Okay." Sasame held the bow, which felt cold to the touch.
"Then you can go." Kaguya gave him the boot.
"Huh?" Sasame was a little slow to react.
"Don't you have things to do?" Kaguya blinked. "The books say you should give the person you love enough time and space. You can't always monopolize them."
"..."
Sasame felt his heart throb a few times. Good heavens, how can you be so cute?
"Oh." A flicker of understanding crossed Kaguya's pure white eyes. She stepped forward, hugged him, and kissed his forehead. "You can go now, right?"
That just makes it harder to leave! Sasame swallowed and finally launched his first counterattack of the day. He bit the slick "jelly" and ravaged it for a moment.
Kaguya was a little confused. She didn't really understand what this meant. After all, the books only talked about simple kissing. Ahem. This was, after all, the library of the Land of Snow; there were no books like Icha Icha Paradise.

Sasuke Uchiha's eyes were filled with confusion. He looked at Naruto and Mikoto, subconsciously scratching his head.
"Sasuke?" Mikoto's face showed worry, and she glanced at Sasame out of the corner of her eye.
"Don't worry, the surgery... no, the sealing was a success," Sasame said with a smile, reassuring her. "He's just woken up and hasn't fully escaped the effects yet."
"Ah." Sasuke groaned, pressing his hand to his forehead as many memories flooded his mind. Then his body stiffened. I... I hit my mom?
"I'm sorry, I..." Sasuke quickly apologized.
"It's okay." Mikoto was relieved to see him return to normal. "Your actions weren't your own, so of course, I don't blame you."
Even so, Sasuke still felt deeply guilty. The matter of his Mangekyō Sharingan was temporarily forgotten.
"Let's talk back in Konoha," Sasame said, interrupting them as they seemed to be in for a long talk.
"Okay." Mikoto came to her senses, stroked Sasuke's head, and said, "You worked hard today, Sasuke. Go home and rest."
"Alright." At her words, Sasuke suddenly felt a wave of fatigue. He had been controlled by Gato to fight, and both his pupil power and chakra were depleted. Although he had slept, it wasn't long enough to recover.

"She's training in the courtyard," Hiashi said without surprise. "Please, come in."
"Brother Sasame."
"Brother!"
The first voice was Hinata's, and the second was Hanabi's. The two sisters had different personalities, and their greetings reflected it: one shy, the other enthusiastic.
"Hanabi, this is for you," Sasame said, pulling out a large pile of snacks.
"Thank you, brother!" Hanabi's smile grew even brighter. She ran over and hugged the snacks.
Hinata didn't step forward, her eyes filled with a hint of envy. If she had Hanabi's personality, she would have thrown herself into his arms. The thought made her face flush slightly.
"Hanabi," Hiashi said tactfully. "Come with me."
"Oh." Hanabi was a little reluctant, but she had to listen to her father. The Hyūga clan was strict, and she didn't dare break the rules.
"Hinata," Sasame said, taking out the bow. "This is for you."
"For me?" Hinata took it blankly, looking at him with confusion. The Hyūga clan used Gentle Fist, which was a close-quarters combat style. Is giving me a bow a little odd? But since it was a gift from Sasame, she smiled happily despite her confusion.

"Yes." Hinata tried her best to recall, finally getting her dizzy mind to clear up, saving her from the danger of fainting.
"This bow is for you to use with the Byakugan," Sasame said, also pulling out the scroll for the Sky Fist: Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms technique that Kaguya had modified. "And this, too."
"Thank you, Brother Sasame." After thanking him, Hinata instinctively opened the scroll and was stunned. She could see a faint outline of the original jutsu, but the effects were completely different. Did Brother Sasame create this jutsu just for me?
Hinata's cheeks felt hot, and her heart pounded wildly.
"Brother Sasame, you... you're so good to me..." she said in a tiny voice, unable to meet his gaze.
"It's nothing," Sasame said with a smile. "Get familiar with the bow and the jutsu. I'll take you out in a while to test its power."
Hinata immediately looked up, her eyes bright and her face filled with anticipation.
"I'll be going now." Sasame gave her cheek one last pinch and disappeared.
It took Hinata a long time to come back to her senses. She held her hand to her face, as if she could still feel his warm touch.
"Hinata?" Hiashi's voice brought her back to reality.
"Father," Hinata said, returning to her normal demeanor and bowing slightly.
"Is that a gift from Sasame?" Hiashi immediately noticed the bow in her hands.
"Yes." Hinata nodded, her tone a little lighthearted. "It's a gift from Brother Sasame."
"That doesn't make sense." Hiashi stroked his chin, puzzled. "Why a bow? The Hyūga clan has never used bows." If he didn't know Sasame's personality, he would have suspected he was just teasing his little girlfriend out of boredom.
"Brother Sasame said it can be used with the Byakugan," Hinata quickly explained. "He must have a good reason."
"..." Hiashi twitched his lips. He has a good reason, but your father doesn't?
Theoretically, a bow did pair well with the Byakugan. But in practice, it was difficult to use. Normal bows had short ranges and slow firing speeds. The target would be right in front of you before the arrow even hit. At that point, you'd have to drop the bow and use Gentle Fist.
However, Sasame was the Hokage, so the bow he gave her must be special.
"Use that bow to attack me. I want to see its power," Hiashi said after a moment's thought. "If it's nothing special, don't waste your time."
"Is that a good idea?" Hinata was a little startled, worried. "I'm afraid I'll hurt you, Father."
"Hurt me? Hinata, your father is one of the strongest shinobi in Konoha," Hiashi laughed. "If you can hurt me, I'll be happy that our clan has produced another genius."

Only then did he notice the unreleased chakra coiled within the arrow. How interesting. This was the first time he had seen such a miraculous ninja tool. It was proof that Sasame had put a lot of thought into it. He just wondered how powerful it was.
Hiashi thought for a moment and took up a defensive stance. Hinata aimed for the empty space to the left of his head and released the arrow. She wanted to make sure that even if he didn't catch the arrow, it wouldn't hurt him.
The moment the arrow left the bowstring, a massive, unprecedented sense of crisis enveloped Hiashi. His hair stood on end. Without a moment's hesitation, he used the Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven. He began spinning like a top. The Revolving Heaven was a high-level secret jutsu of the Hyūga clan, known as the Absolute Defense. It creates a hemispherical chakra shield that wraps from the ground to the user's entire body, deflecting physical attacks.
There was a thunderous boom, but unlike Kaguya's arrow, it didn't create a firework display. That was, after all, a flashy gesture from the Divine Princess to show her affection.
"Father?" Hinata gasped in surprise, rushing forward.
"I'm... I'm fine." Hiashi had indeed caught the arrow, but the cost of saving face was not small. On his back, which Hinata couldn't see, his hands were trembling, and his palms were bleeding.
Sasame hadn't known the true power of the bow either, but he knew that anything created by Kaguya would be no less powerful than the so-called Six Paths ninja tools.
