We were now running along the road of the district, heading toward Yui's house. Her home was located on the west side of the city.
Boom!
The sound of distant thunder echoed across the sky. There were no stars or moon in sight. The wind began to blow, and the leaves rustled on the trees. Rain could fall at any moment now.
After several minutes of running, we finally arrived at a row of terrace houses. The design was neat and charming, painted in a soft yellow hue that reflected the flickering flames of the roadside lamps.
The houses stretched down both sides of the road. Most of them seemed to be in deep slumber.
"Where does Yui live, Bob? We need to hurry, or we'll be left behind," I said, trying to sound urgent as I looked right and left.
"She lives just nearby," Bob replied, then turned toward one of the houses.
