Chapter 113 - Chapter 113: Leviathan

Alex rode the motorcycle, crouching down slightly to reduce the air resistance. Hearing the man behind him — whose motorcycle he had taken — cheering him on, he narrowed his eyes at the road ahead.

Alex rode the motorcycle, crouching down slightly to reduce the air resistance. Hearing the man behind him — whose motorcycle he had taken — cheering him on, for some reason a line from the Three Character Classic suddenly popped into his mind.

In the end times, everyone is deceitful. Compared to zombies, sometimes the human heart is even more terrifying.

So, after three years in the apocalypse, Alex, who should have been a sunny and innocent boy, had become cautious.

However, after these few plane crossings, it could be said that he had been away from that world for a few years. Alex's mindset was no longer as extreme as it had been during the end times.

If he still had that same mindset, then to him, the battle in New York right now was extremely dangerous — and if he went to fight, there was no real benefit for him. Putting himself at risk just to help others, even the ordinary people in New York? Such a thing would have been impossible for the old Alex.

Even before, Alex had been secretly thinking that he had no reason to step into this battle — there was no need at all.

But when he walked out of the mirror space and got that call from Tony Stark, asking him to hurry and help, and when he thought about Captain America and the others needing him too — his body moved faster than his mind. Without thinking, he grabbed a motorcycle and rushed over.

Riding on the bike, Alex found his own behaviour a bit hard to understand…

But there was no time to think more about it. The motorcycle's engine was pushed to the limit, and Alex's riding skills were used to their fullest.

The speed was like a sharp arrow, and the roar of the engine sounded like a wild beast.

Bang bang bang!On top of a building, the furious Hulk was surrounded by hundreds of Chitauri soldiers. Laser-like guns and bullets poured down on him like rain.

Hundreds of beams hit at once, making him roar with rage, but he just raised his huge arms to block it all.

Tony Stark's steel suit flew fast and flexible through the air, but behind him, more than a dozen aliens on flying vehicles chased after him closely.

Rumble...

Thor stood on a high tower. His hammer drew down countless bolts of lightning and blasted them straight into the giant space wormhole. The violent lightning blocked the wormhole's entrance — for a moment, he was like a one-man army.

But the Chitauri numbers were too large. Some still slipped through the gaps in the lightning and came pouring down.

Bang bang bang...

On the ground, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Captain America fought fiercely. Alien soldiers fell one by one under their attacks.

However, compared to the massive Chitauri army, their kills were just a drop in the ocean.

Thor, the Hulk, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Captain America...

Six people. Just six, standing against an entire alien army. Of course they were badly outnumbered.

These Chitauri soldiers were no match for the superheroes one-on-one, but with such huge numbers, it was enough to close the gap.

As the battle heated up and more alien troops flooded New York, each hero was locked in their own fierce fight.

Whoosh! An arrow shot out from Hawkeye's compound bow at a tricky angle — killing two birds with one stone. His archery skills really were top-notch.

But just then, seeing several more soldiers rushing him, Hawkeye reached for another arrow — and grabbed only empty air.

His quiver was empty. Every arrow had already been fired.

Just as those Chitauri soldiers charged at Hawkeye, suddenly a circular blade of sword energy slashed through them.

The sharp sword light cut them down like slicing vegetables. At the same time, Alex dropped down from the sky. "Sorry — am I a bit late…"

"Well, nice entrance," Black Widow said beside him with a tired look, "but more of them are coming."

Sure enough, more than a dozen Chitauri soldiers rushed at Alex and the others.

"These Chitauri aren't even worth calling my enemies…" Alex said, shaking his head, not looking worried at all.

As he spoke, Alex stretched out his palms at the oncoming Chitauri soldiers. Their bodies suddenly flew up into the air, completely out of their control.

Then, Alex's open palms slowly clenched into fists. With that motion, the Chitauri soldiers screamed miserably — their heads crushed like soft clay, twisted into a horrifying mess.

The moment Alex let go, the Chitauri bodies, their heads smashed in, dropped lifelessly to the ground.

These Chitauri aliens were very different from humans — all of them wore battle suits and metal masks.

Most importantly, their bodies seemed half-living, half-machine.

Just like in the original story, after Tony carried a nuclear bomb and blew up their base headquarters, these Chitauri soldiers completely lost power and dropped to the ground. This was the best proof.

Could these half-living, half-mechanical Chitauri really be a match for Alex, who could control all metal?

The result was obvious!

Countered. The abilities of these Chitauri soldiers were completely restrained by Alex — even more so than the dark magicians before.

"This… this ability…" Seeing the Chitauri soldiers charging over but not even able to get close before their heads were crushed by invisible force, Black Widow and Hawkeye beside him were stunned.

There were only about a dozen Chitauri soldiers, but the sight alone left a huge impact.

Moo...

At that moment, a low, heavy roar echoed out.

Alex turned his head and saw a massive Leviathan charging straight at him and the others.
