Chapter 7 - Chapter 6: Encounter

Thalira looked at them both, and then started running, clutching her bag tightly and fixing the mask covering her face. However, the more she ran, the more deserted the street became. She didn't stop and raced faster.

The two thugs were chasing after her, shouting and spewing out some threatening words. Gradually, their shouts became less and less. As they arrived at a dead end, the two men looked at each other with glee in their eyes.

A malicious smirk plastered on their faces. This girl was quite silly, refusing a toast only to be forced to forfeit! Had she handed over her things obediently, they could've let her go, but…

Thalira pursed her lips. There was none around. Such a dead-end path was suitable for committing a crime. She rolled up her sleeves and got ready to fight.

"You bring this upon yourself, girl." One thug sneered before charging at her.

However, someone in black attire entangled the man first before he could reach her. Her eyes widened. She gazed at the man in the hoodie, who had his face covered up.

Judging from his figure, he looked like someone in his early twenties. Slender but unexpectedly hiding explosive strength. He was currently performing a one sided beating on the thug.

"This has nothing to do with you. Let me—ouch!" The man yelled like a pig being slaughtered.

Thalira was alarmed. She didn't bother to scrutinize the young man anymore and instantly charged at the remaining thug, who was still freezing in shock.

Each punch and yell of his companion made the other thug's scalp go numb. Just as he hesitated whether to help his companion, he felt a hard blow on his shoulder. He was baffled, only to find the girl they had relentlessly chased earlier was punching and kicking him.

Despite her small frame, each of her kicks leave his body parts throbbing. Ruthless and decisive with each strike. He had no choice but to engage with her. Yet the more he fought, the more he found she seemed to be a trained person.

She accurately dodged each of his attacks, still considering the difference of body strength in men and women. Actually, Thalira was still a bit unsatisfied right now. This body was too weak and currently couldn't take an adult man's direct blows.

Originally, she was excited when those two thugs went after her. She needed a chance to measure this body's current strength, and they delivered themselves to her door. Too bad that someone was meddling in her business. Worried that her other prey would be snatched away as well, so she directly engaged him in a fight.

After a while, two adult men, battered and full of blood, laid on the ground and passed out. Thalira was panting, but her eyes were bright.

She turned to the man, but still couldn't get a look at his actual face. The hoodie cap and mask were a perfect cover. Thalira was a bit disappointed that she couldn't beat the other thug herself, but she still said politely, "Thank you for your help."

"Your skill isn't bad." He commented, then with his slender build, he proceeded to hoist both men on his shoulder. "But it can be better."

Thalira's mouth twitched, and a strange sensation crossed her. Just as she was trying to figure it out, she heard the man say, "I will deliver them to the Enforcement Unit."

The Enforcement Unit was the special trained unit to enforce law and order in the masses on this planet. Other countries might have different terms for them, but here in Z Country, it was called that.

Thalira looked at the man's back thoughtfully, wondering whether he was also a part of the military. A random human couldn't have such powerful strength; the perfect example was the thug she had just beaten up.

"Thalira, are you alright?" Austin's face appeared in her line of sight, full of worry. "Are you hurt anywhere? It's my fault that I have underestimated that despicable old geezer."

Thalira was taken aback. She hurriedly shook her head and assured him. "It's alright. Someone happened to pass by and helped me."

She didn't hesitate to throw all the credit to the man, her hand pointing at the figure that was slowly disappearing into the distance. Austin followed the direction her finger was pointing at, still caught the sight of the man and bodies on each of his shoulders.

"That's good." He heaved a sigh of relief, retracting his line of sight and suppressing his curiosity about which trained special force that man was from. Although he wasn't in the military like his older brother, he still knew some famous and skilled military personnel.

Austin preferred to learn business like his second grandfather. Even so, he didn't inherit the old man's unscrupulous way of doing business–a more principled and disciplined man like his military grandfather. He resembled his uncle, who was in charge of the family business more.

"Let's go back." Austin said, leading her back to the treasure market. He told her that one of the security guards had caught the sight of two men approaching her and reported it to him. Thus, he ran as fast as possible to help her, bringing some security guards around; but he was faster than them.

He escorted her home after that, fearing that she might meet harm again in the way. Thalira thanked him as she got out of the car, bidding farewell, and promised to show him more of her collection again.

She thought about it and decided to hand over some things in her bag and requested him to appraise it. He still had a shocked look on his face as she walked away.

Thalira directly went to the office of the Residence Hall Directors and requested to change her dormitory to a private one. Secretly, she was feeling sorry because it was also nice having caring roommates like Evelyn and Scarlett.

"The price for a month of a private room is ten thousand points." The Resident Director informed her. "Are you sure you want to change? The money you have paid for a shared room for this month won't be refunded."

Thalira nodded seriously. "Yes, please change me into a private dorm room."

"Alright." The Resident Director typed something on his keyboard. Thalira followed his instruction and paid for two months straight. Anyway, after two months, she wouldn't need to pay anymore. The Resident Director got up and walked away. When he came back, he handed her a key.

Thalira thanked him and then returned to her dormitory room. Now she was a bit confused. How should she tell her other two roommates?

So, in order to pay for their kindness, she brought them some gifts, then told them.

"You are moving, Thalira. Why?" Evelyn's eyes opened wide. Scarlett was also looking at her.
