After screaming into the sky and letting off some steam, I approached Natsu and Erza, helping the two of them onto their feet. "You two look beaten. Who the hell were you fighting?" Folding my arms, I glanced between the two of them, causing Natsu to point behind me. "Ugh, it was that bastard, big bro, he was trying to sacrifice Erza." Raising an eyebrow, a bloodthirsty grin made its way onto my face as I looked behind me, only to see a large yellowish ray of light surging towards us.
Enhancing my body near my limit, I dug my feet into the floor and raised my hand, stopping the ray of light; grunting slightly, I clenched my hand, crushing the large ray of light, only for it to disassemble into weaker ones, which slammed against my body, barely leaving behind faint bruises.
"Just as I expected from the 'Beast' of Fairy Tail… You're strength is absurd; it is no wonder Jose Porla died at your hands. You might even be able to challenge the Four Gods of Ishgar." Seeing Siegrain stand in the distance with an expression as if he had everything under control, I just growled in annoyance.
"Eh, you're the one who killed Jose Porla, big bro? Awesome!" If it were any other time, I probably would've reveled in Natsu's praise; unfortunately, I had more pressing matters to deal with. Rolling my eyes at how Natsu failed to read the room, I happened to spot Simon lying on the ground, his life-force on the verge of being snuffed out, a sight that caused me to grin as I kicked in his direction.
"Hah, bastard, that's what you fucking deserve." "Hahaha." Ignoring Siegrain's maniacal laughter, Erza and Natsu quickly stopped me, explaining what had truly happened. "Big bro, wait, wait! Simon was a double agent; he was on our side." "Yes, he's a friend of mine and he's been helping us, please don't do that, big bro." With those two holding me back, I shot Simon a glare before sighing and raising my arms, lifting them in the process.
"Haa, alright, alright, I believe you… Still don't like him though." Backing off, I lowered my arms, setting the two back onto the ground, though as I glanced at Erza, I saw how she looked at Simon with such affection and pain; seeing how deeply she cared for him, I grumbled under my breath and reached into my pocket, grabbing a space pouch I'd bought Erza, though unlike her I didn't loose mine.
Grabbing a lacrima, and under the watchful eyes of everyone, I filled it with my magic power before handing it to Erza, who just looked at me in confusion, prompting me to gesture to Simon. "He's not dead yet. Give him that, it'll extend his life." Slightly, Erza widened her eyes as she looked at the lacrima in her hand, only for her to quickly lunge at Simon, placing it on top of the gaping hole in his stomach, fitting nearly perfectly.
Just as she did so, my magic power steadily poured into his body, enhancing it to his stable limit; it would increase his survivability, and I could even sense his life force had strengthened. However, it was only a temporary enhancement; his injury was still severe enough that I was merely increasing the time he was still dying; I just prolonged the time.
"Oh, how sentimental, it's a precious thing, it really is." Siegrain's tone was dripping with sarcasm as he shot a ray of light at Simon, prompting Erza to protect him with her body, though I'd already arrived in front of him, swatting away the ray of light. "Such a mood killer, it would've been great if I killed Simon, destroying her hope and descending her into despair? It might've increased her compatibility with the Dark Wizard."
"Oh, I've had enough of you, Siegrain." "That's Jellal, big bro Siegrain was just a thought projection." While it was rare for Natsu to be the one to give important information, currently, I couldn't provide two-shits who Siegrain was. "I don't give a fuck who he is or what his name is. I'll call him Bitch if I want… All I care about is killing this fucker."
Cracking my knuckles, I approached Bitch, while motioning to Natsu and Erza behind me to back up. "Create some distance, this will be a bit chaotic." Both of them responded with action rather than words by backing up as much as they could, practically hugging the other side of the wall; of course, they took Simon with them.
Standing a few meters in front of Jella, I enhanced my body to the limit, constantly filling every crevice of my body with magic power, causing the air near me to softly hum while my hair floated upwards.
The instant Jella's body was enveloped within a yellowish aura, I lunged at him, though to my surprise, Jellal was fast, fast enough to evade me as he fired rays of light, my ray, which I swatted out of the way. Jellal then flew at me, slamming into my side with his immense speed while I dug my feet into the ground, slowing myself down as I grabbed his body. "Dumb move."
Clenching tightly, I twisted upside down, slamming him head-first into the floor, RKO-style. Though with a quick eruption of magic power, he freed himself and flung me a few meters away before I landed on the ground and lunged back at him, while he shook his head. Once he regained his bearings, he pointed his open palm at me, manifesting nine-light swords behind his back before they flew at me.
Seeing them fly around me rather than attacking straight on, I clicked my tongue and punched through as many as possible, while a few of them sliced me, leaving behind bloody cuts. Next, Jellal began to repeatedly spam that same move while incorporating his rays of light, seemingly trying to overwhelm me; I do admit that dealing with so many attacks as I chased him was irritating, but it wouldn't be enough to stop me.
"Tsk, such a tough bastard." Muttering under his breath, Jellal dashed at me, uppercutting me, while I counter-attacked by whipping my leg at his chest; he barely had time to cross his arms and block. "So you do know how to fight? You're not just a coward who attacks from a distance." Lowering my leg, I rubbed my jaw slightly while eyeing Jellal, whom I pushed over a meter with my kick.
"Your intelligence seems to fluctuate… Only an idiot would solely engage in close combat with you." Lowering his arms, Jellal glared at me while raising his two fingers into the air before doing some weird gestures, only to finish it off by placing his fingers on the ground. Sensing danger, I looked up at the sky, which was filled with dark clouds, only to see them part as a fiery object emerged, causing my eyes to widen slightly.
"A meteor?" Watching the meteor fully emerge and rapidly descend toward me, I grinned as I squatted down. When the meteor got close enough, I briefly flooded my legs with magic power, pushing them past my body's limit as I lunged toward the meteor.
Clenching my fist, just like with my legs, I pushed it past my limit, causing it to faintly glow golden. When I arrived just a few meters away from the meteor, which was the size of a small city, I swung my fist with all of my might, slamming it against the fiery rock, causing it to immediately stop as massive cracks traveled along its surface, only for it to explode.
The force of the explosion flung me back to the tower; as for the meteor, it was nothing but rocks, no longer a threat. Shifting my body, I faced the tower, only to see Jellal cast another spell as the five elements: earth, fire, water, air, and metal, fused into one powerful attack that headed straight for me.
'Tsk, bastard.' Crossing my arms, I pushed my whole body past the limit as the attack enveloped me, hitting what felt like every part of my body, though after several seconds, I emerged from the other side, only to see Jellal flying at me. His fist dug into my stomach, causing me to grit my teeth as I lashed my hand out, grabbing his face while we continued to fall.
"Thanks for breaking my fall." As I grinned at Jellal, he clearly didn't like it one bit as he rapidly cast the nine light-sword spell; I managed to block some with my other arm, but most slammed me into, though I continued grinning as I saw the tower grow closer.
Thrusting Jellal downwards, slamming him into the floor, we went right through it and continued down through the tower; however, before smashing through the next floor, Jellal used the slowed momentum to flip our positions. I smashed through the next floor. For the next two hundred eighty floors, we kept alternating, flipping ourselves and forcing the other to break our fall, and through it all, neither of us had given up on fighting.
I would punch, kick, or knee Jellal's body while he'd cast spells one after the other; neither of us gave each other a moment's rest until we slammed through the final floor and smashed into the ground floor.
"Ouch."
