As mysterious as it may have seemed of the sudden presence of several military officers at the park — right before things with the flaming bird got even more out of hand, it wasn't entirely so, and they weren't technically omniscient as one may have thought.

Proceeding Mexico's singularity event was a strange weather anomaly signal that had popped up on the US military radars.
Well, at least that was what they had all thought it was at first.
Although the singularity could cause peculiar atmospheric distortions, it couldn't exactly be flagged as an ideal weather anomaly.
And the US military general, amongst many others who had noticed the strange readings on their radar couldn't quite fathom what they had witnessed because their current age's technologies were far too primitive to tell a singularity effect from an ideal weather anomaly.
So they had to truly find out for themselves. They had to know what exactly could cause such an illusory effect on their scanners.
That was when they contacted their silent agents within the Mexican government.
These agents were able to utilize the various devices at their current disposal to try and ascertain the nature of the singularity event that had occurred at Aaron's house in Mexico.
But sadly, their efforts were all in vain because the singularity didn't exactly stick around after its emergence; it only gave those agents a few minute's worth of study before it disappeared into nothingness.
So they couldn't tell what it had been that could mask itself as a weather anomaly.
But as more hours wore by, and as they continued monitoring their scanners and satellite feeds for something similar to what they had seen previously, the same signal rang through their systems again.
However, there were a few things that distinguished this second signal from the first.
And one of which was its nature.
As soon as they had pinpointed the location of the second signal they had received, they started studying its nature.
As overwhelmed as they had been after discovering that not only did the thing they had been tracking for a while could somehow change its position from time to time, the feeling was nothing when compared to their amazement after discovering that what they had initially thought was a weather anomaly, was actually a strange flying creature.
And as they continued to monitor its movements, they were soon able to determine how long it was going to take the flying creature to cross the US border.
That was when the general dispatched a small elite team to intercept the creature in New York City.
The stunned look on the faces of the soldiers as soon as they came face to face with the Phoenix was quite impeccable, but they couldn't dwell on that because they saw as the flaming bird unleashed an explosive wave of fire from its large body.
The captain of the vanguard force had one of their men deploy the M-13 assault missile at the flaming bird, to create a momentary distraction and give the injured individuals a chance to flee the park.
But that had tragically earned them the bird's attention.
Also, the fiery explosion resulting from the missile's detonation was rendered useless by the flaming bird, because the latter seemed to be capable of absorbing the resulting flames from the explosion to amplify its own, making itself more fiery than before.
But they weren't going to back down either.
The captain gave a simple command to everyone who comprised the entirety of the vanguard force to let loose of their variuos munitions, sparing none in their barrels.
They fired continuously at the bird, not willing to give the latter a chance to retaliate.
Even though the bolts and bullets from their tanks and guns still proved to be ineffective in causing an evident damage to the bird, it was still enough to halt its advance towards them.

As they continued firing without reservation, one of them made a call to their General who was still at their headquarters, requesting reinforcements and an ideal weapon to harm the bird.
But as soon as the call went through to their general, another singularity appeared right behind the Phoenix.
This particular singularity was relatively bigger and wider than every other one that had appeared before on Earth, which would only suggest that whatever creature was making an entrance from that alien planet to Earth was likely bigger, in proportion to the size of the singularity.
The entire bulk of the vanguard forces were completely stunned by the emergence and the sight of the singularity that they failed to react fast enough when the flaming bird opened its beaks again and unleashed seven thick beams of fire that struck the seven tanks that had been shooting nonstop at it.
The tanks exploded upon contact with the Phoenix's flames, which didn't only hurl several shards of metal through the air, but also generated an irresistible and repulsive force that blew the entire army away from their initial positions.
Although they were now experiencing a drastic decrease in their numbers because some of their mates died after the explosion, the survivors were dogged enough to still stand their ground against the Phoenix.
However, without a sufficient number of soldiers and a diverse set of high-damaging artillery, hoping to stand a chance against the flaming bird in such a dire circumstance was nothing more than a daydream.
But before any of them could even think of doing something, an incredibly large and robust hand protruded out of the singularity and grabbed the flaming bird, ceasing its relentless assaults on the helpless army.
The soldiers couldn't quite comprehend what they were beholding, however they utilized the few precious moments of the Phoenix's distraction to back as far away from the bird's vicinity as possible.
During their effective retreat, the captain of the army gave orders to a few of their members to assist their comrades who had unfortunately been injured during one of the Phoenix's assaults.
And as they continued their retreat, they were sure to spare a portion of their attention to the flaming bird who was being held by a massive hand protruding out of the singularity behind it.
In frustration, the bird screeched and struggled to break free from its Incapacitation. But it was evident that the power exerted by the mysterious hand greatly surpassed that which the flaming bird could exert.
However, everything seemed to take a drastic turn for the worse on both the Phoenix's and the still retreating army's side when the owner of the gigantic hand emerged from the singularity.
"W-W... What... in the absolute fu...? Is that... a Titan?" The captain, who saw the titan cross over from its world to theirs, uttered, his voice trembling in sheer horror.
The titan, after fully stepping out of the singularity, stared at the Phoenix as it struggled to break free from its unwavering grasp.
The Titan's skin also seemed to be impervious to the flaming bird's raging flames, even as the latter relentlessly channelled more flames into its body, in a desperate effort to commove the towering Titan.
But with a stark and contemptuous look on the Titan's face, it effortlessly slammed the flaming bird unto the hard ground before flinging it away like a weightless boomerang.
Finally free from the Titan's hold, the Phoenix regained and exerted control over its body to negate the propulsive force from the Titan's decisive throw. As soon as it achieved this, it charged back at blinding speed towards the Titan who was exiting the park, paying no heed to anything at all but its overall destination.
Finally coming into range with the Titan, a flaming sphere encapsulated the Phoenix's body again. Then it abruptly expanded and radiated outwards in a spectacular explosion that shook the air and spread forth a fiery wave that burned every thing in its path, including the Titan.
However, the titan was as unwavering and firm as ever, unfazed by the bird's petty tricks.
A bit pissed and annoyed that it had once again been hindered by the flaming bird, it retaliated with a sharp vertical cleave of its arms, intent on slicing the flaming bird in half.
Although the flaming bird had unfortunately brought itself within the attack range of the Titan, it was however, a skyborne creature that had a profound mastery over the skies.
The flaming bird, still in midair, folded its wings and performed a deft manoeuvre by rolling to the side, evidently evading the Titan's vicious cleave and putting the Titan in a disadvantageous position, where it wasn't fast enough to brace itself for when the Phoenix reopened its flaming wings and fired fifty beams of fire that sped towards it.

While the two creatures duked it out on themselves in the sky, an upsetting message was transmitted from the General of the US army to the captain of the vanguard force, who had previously contended against the Phoenix:
"Hello, Captain... We–uh... We received your message regarding your manpower deficiency in tackling your current mission..."
The General emitted a long, guilt-filled sigh.
"... But I'm afraid I have to tell you that we won't be sending the reinforcements you had asked for, because we have more of those things popping up around the entire state... and our current force is already stretched out thin.
We can't concentrate a considerable number of our force on one location, and leave the others defenceless. I hope you understand that."
"I understand, Sir." The captain replied, unfazed by their current predicament.
"You're a good soldier; I trust that you and every good man out there will fight a good fight for your country?" The general said.
"We will, Sir!" The captain reassured.

Inside their military base, the general sighed as he severed the transmission between himself and the captain's team.
"They'll surely die out there." He muttered to himself.
"Sir, four more singularities have appeared in Chicago." An operator informed. "And three more just appeared in Washington.
What should we do, Sir?"
The general sighed again. "Honestly, I don't know what to do. We've sent everyone in our camp to tackle the situations across the states, so we currently have no one to send.
Also, we can't tackle our problems if we don't know exactly what had caused it in the first place."
The general approached a wide screen that displayed a mapped outline of the world, depicting isolated areas in the United States which were yet to experience a singularity event.
And from the looks of it, those isolated areas were more or less non-existent — the singularity events were occurring almost everywhere in the entire states.
"Besides us, which other country is having it worse than us?" The general asked.
"The United States, Sir — we're currently experiencing at least 5000 singularity events across the states, whereas other countries like Russia, China, Japan, and many others are experiencing at most 1000 singularity events. We are the ones having the worst of it, Sir, and the situation is really not looking good for us, Si—" The operator's words were caught halfway through his throat.
"What's wrong?" The general asked.
"Another Singularity just emerged in Washington, Sir. And from the looks of the energy signatures being read by our satellite, I'd say this one is the biggest of them all... or probably the strongest of them all." The operator informed.
"Where in Washington is this singularity?" The General asked.
The operator went silent at the question, as he was a bit hesitant to relay the information he had just gathered. But a stern look from the General convinced him to do the otherwise by practically blurting out the location of the latter singularity.
"In Axegate Penitentiary, Sir." The operator said. "The singularity had appeared somewhere in Axegate."
