Dawnstar, the distance between me and one of the capitals of Skyrim was still quite large. Though I could track my current location as I do get the map function as well. But just like the game itself, any interesting site wouldn't display before I encounter the spots personally. Still, it's okay since all of the capitals of Skyrim still appear on the map, making it easy for me to go to the destination.
And along the way, I've been thinking of the time period itself. As if it's follow the game, it should be in the Fourth Era (4E). But there's a chance that I've been in a different time period from the game. Because there isn't much that I know of this current Skyrim that I am at.
But I feel like it could be the past or the future itself compared to the original time of the game. All because the shipwreck where I come from before, it should have bandits and yet there are none. Completely abandoned...
Whatever the case, I do hope that I can meet the dragonborn. I mean the Dragonborn itself was the main character of the game. Making me wonder what sort of person the dragonborn is... though it only can happen if I am within the same time period as the dragonborn.
Although it's cool, it be scary as well because the dragon and Alduin is going to destroy the world itself. I'm far too weak to actually be fighting those kinda creatures. Of course, I also have doubts about whether I could destroy the darkness that has been plaguing Meridia Temple.
If I recall correctly, the shade inside the temple was pretty powerful. With my current armor, level... almost everything is under-level for me to beat the darkness inside of Meridia Temple.
Those thoughts make me laugh a bit, because no matter what excuse I try to give. I'm sure Meridia would try to push it regardless. I mean, she does love to shove her bidding to other people even if they don't want to.
...
It's been a few hours and I haven't yet reached Dawnstar. Not even halfway there at all.
Whoever thought that the distance in actual Skryim is like huge. Already expected this but I thought it would take at least a few hours to arrive but it's been more than 5 hours already. Yet I'm still not halfway there...
And what's worse is that the sun is already about to set... The night is going to come soon and in this snowy weather. I'm surely going to freeze to death if I walk through it. I need to stop and find a place to warm up.. I got a fireball and if I found some sticks and wood. I could avoid freezing to death.
Thus, the plan had changed, that was to find some good spot to camp out for the night.
I walked a bit more to find a good spot and all of the sudden... A notification appear, well the beacon that I'm holding letting a sound. It was giving this 'Ding' sound, plus it vibrates as well. Kinda make it like a phone in some sort of a way.
-Abandoned Pale Imperial Camp-
I check up my map and it seems like I discovered an interesting site. But abandoned? How could it be abandoned... because I know that there's some camp. Like Imperial or Stormcloak camp but it should be fully operational since there's war-
That is when I finally realised the answer to my own question before. Of which time period am I in currently... It must be after the civil war in Skyrim. The camp being abandoned means that one of those side has won the war. I have no idea who but I'm sure it has made big changes in Skyrim itself.
Not only that... everything in Skyrim isn't like what I used to know, as we're far ahead of what the game's set time period in. Making things even more exciting as there are places that I wanted to explore and see what has changed over time. A totally new experience indeed!
But of course, before I get excited too much until I forget that I need to search up the place... for any flammable stuff so I could stay warm the entire night.
I set foot into the abandoned pale Imperial camp, the place was indeed deserted but luckily a few tents were still in good condition. Even have those fur beds, which I sleep much more comfortably on later at night. There is even a campfire and some chopped-up wood left around.
Was this Meridia Luck? Or I am just lucky. But whatever it is. I take it all as it could have made me survive the night for sure.
Casting a fireball isn't that tough, simply reach out my hand and say fireball. It works without needing to touch the beacon at all. That was the very first thing that didn't require the beacon, making me happy that at least magic is something that I could do myself.
As it's going to be a hassle for sure if I need to hold the beacon whenever I need to cast magic.
The fireball managed to ignite the wood. And with a light source and something to keep me warm, it has been done. I decided to go to sleep as I need to continue my journey as soon as possible. Because if I stay here long enough, I surely would starve to death-
Suddenly it came to my mind! I don't have any food with me. No wonder my stomach has been growling a lot... all of those other thoughts keep me occupied that I forgot about food and water. And thinking about water makes me thirsty as well.
I wanted to look around the area but I'm sure there's no food that I could eat... fresh food, as this place has already been deserted. But I guess I should look regardless.
*Thud*
A branch snapped in the distance...
