"Very well, but before anything else, finish fixing your status so we can move on."
Oh! Yeah, I've only improved my physical parameters and skills, but I still haven't decided on the job.

Ok it's finally time to decide on the "job," it's obvious that it would be even more relevant with the world the way it is now.
[Available:
Citizen, Recluse, Writer, Swordsman, Archer, Apothecary, Apprentice Sensitive, Apprentice Doctor, Spy, Apprentice Adventurer, Employee, Cleaner, Assassin, Fighter]
...
Okay, there are certainly several, which is good since it means I have varied abilities (I hope), but this variety is kind of... strange, and there are several jobs out there that I refuse to believe would be "right" for me.
Why would a job like Recluse have a skill called [antisocial]?. Wouldn't that make it impossible to even leave the house?. How could anyone survive in an apocalyptic world with a set like that?!...
Unless non-survival was the goal of whoever created this and is probably just enjoying what's happening now.
Continuing, I can understand where Cleaner and Employee came from, but being called that right to your face isn't exactly a good thing. And I doubt they had any particularly good additional skills, the same goes for Writer and Citizen.
So the only real options would be Swordsman, Archer, Adventurer, Apothecary, Sensitive, and Doctor.
By process of elimination, Swordsman wins out. My aim is average at best, as is my reload time. I can shoot 10 arrows in 50 seconds, but ideally around 30 seconds, so Archer is already out.
I'm not going to choose Adventurer simply because I have no idea what it would entail. Maybe it would follow game logic (which would be most likely) and give me mixed abilities, but I already have several natural abilities that can do this, so it would be redundant to choose it.
But another that caught my eye was Fighter. In theory, it would be almost like a swordsman, but not the same. Swordsman would be limited to only using cutting atmas, but I don't know why. I'm so sure that the Fighter in this case would also use them, but wouldn't be limited to them.
I would still have Spy, but it would probably just make it easier to hide and help a bit in combat. Since I intend to go through all this with my family in a group, this doesn't seem like a very appealing job.
If I were to survive alone, it might be ideal, but I want to survive with my family, so the only doubt will be between Swordsman and Fighter.
….
….
I wish there was a way to simulate exactly what they would be like. Whether they would be as I imagine them or completely different, if they were as I imagine them, the best would be a fighter.
After all, in my personal theory, it would give access to much more combat capabilities, both with and without weapons. And possibly help with some kind of automatic assistance that, hopefully, all jobs have.
Swordsman, on the other hand, would have the romanticized idea that almost any otaku has. Personally, I'd say that the number of people who choose jobs in isekai varies by 80% between being magicians or swordsmen, with the last 20% split between various other types of jobs.
…..
AAAHHHHH I CAN'T DECIDE!!!!!
"Are you throwing in the towel already?"
"Hey, don't even start! Vice knows very well that I've always been bad at deciding this kind of thing. I spend ages deciding on ice cream flavors, imagine now!!!"
"I know, I know, I know, but just to remind you that Vice needs to decide soon."
"Why? It's not like the chickens are going to fly away."
I said, rolling my eyes.
"True, but how long until something big or strong shows up and ends up catching them while the front is stuck here?"
.....
.....
Tsk, fair enough.
Oh, but wait a minute.
"Come to think of it, all that's shown up so far is some goblins, very weakened shadow wolves, and a half-dead Bargest?"
"It probably has something to do with one of Mom's abilities."
"?????"
And what kind of skill could someone with the [Civil] job have that would help explain the lack of monsters?
"Okay, okay, okay, okay! I'll explain that later. Now focus on what Vice has to decide now."
Annoying, but completely fair. But that doesn't help me decide which one to choose!!
"Hey Mari, what skills did Vice specifically gain after becoming a [Tamer]?"
She paused for a moment to think, her hand on her chin, still in pixie form.
"I think they were: animal communication, tracking, and taming."
"Just those three? Ha! But wait a second, don't you already have animal communication as a racial skill?"
"Yes, I do. After I left my job, it was added to the skill or mastery I already had, and it went from 1 to 2."
So, the skills we already have are enhanced, huh...
But I'm still unsure which of the two would be best!!!
"Ah~, please. You know you can't make the best decision every time. If you make a bad decision about work, you'll have to work twice as hard to make up for it, level up, and get skills that help you fix the damage."
Hmm, I know she's right, but it's still normal to want the best possible decision. It's even worse now.
...
...
...
Aaahhhhh what the hell!!!!. This is getting on my nerves, and I'm starting to feel hungry again. So let's go with the classic one-two punch and get this over with!!!!

(some time later, a much longer-than-necessary uni-duni-te)
[Chosen Job: Fighter]
[Acquired Skills: Steady Step 1, Enhanced Reflexes 1, Synthetic Vision 1, Edged Weapon Proficiency 0, Thrown Weapon Proficiency 0, Ranged Weapon Proficiency 0, Unarmed Combat 1]

[Acquired Proficiency added to existing skill: Edged Weapon Proficiency added to Swordsmanship, Ranged Weapon Proficiency added to Archery]
[Swordsmanship 1→2, Archery 1→2]
[Complementary Skills Acquired: Steady Step, Enhanced Senses, Enhanced Reflexes. Enhanced effects above skill level]
...
Excellent, just as I expected.
I will solemnly ignore the look of: Are you messing with my face, you wretch, that my dear little sister is giving me now for some reason.
.....
Okay, I obviously wasn't expecting so many skills (although some aren't exactly skills, but rather skill, which are two different things). But getting skills without having to spend money is hardly a bad thing, especially when they help you survive, so I'm not going to complain.
And it's really cool to see that your guess ended up working... partly, right? But this now makes me think about what I would gain by choosing one of the more... unusual jobs, like the Adventurer's Apprentice, Apothecary, or Psychic Apprentice.
Aaaahhhh~ life is like that, to get something, we usually have to give up another. That's how choices are.
"How long are you going to keep that smug look on your face, as if you've achieved some great truth?"
My sister asked, the vein on her forehead almost bursting. No euphemisms, it looked like those veins on cartoon characters.
"Uuhhh, my bad. But now I think I'm ready for whatever comes my way."
"That's good, and it's good to see that Vice will be able to take care of himself. Even though it's a little annoying that Vice has more skills than me now."
She wasn't kidding, I'm really blown away by skills right now.
