She stood in the artificial light, staring up at the pretend sky- as if waiting for rescue. A savior. The false sky was only meant to serve as a comfort- yet also a reminder they would not live long enough to see the real hue of blue.
"Suo!" A small voice cried, running towards the small girl with a bright smile on their lips. Delicate and fragile, as if held together with glue. Such things children were.
Her small hands held to Suo's arm. A young girl, unprepared for the horrors they were yet to face on such a stage.
"Nami... What are you doing? Running around carelessly will get you hurt again." Suo replied, a small smile given back to the younger as she shifted her body position. She used her other hand, purpled tipped fingers caressing the top of Nami's head. Gentle, a lingering touch that made the other giggle. She eventually lowered her hand back to her side, knowing her fingertips might feel cold.
"I couldn't help it! It's almost time to eat." Nami smiled, tugging on Suo's arm to lead her down the hill they were perched on. "You know... I hear we're doing another singing test soon! I really wanna pass." Nami squealed excitedly, squeezing on Suo's forearm.
"... Yes. I hope you do." Suo sighed quietly, glancing back up at the false sky that was dangled above them.
They were nothing but future amusement. A past-time for their captors. She could only fear what would happen to her next if she ever grew up. The thought had the goosebumps raise on her skin.
"Are you alright?" Nami asked, noticing the sudden bumpy texture on Suo's arm, loosening her grip.
"I'm fine, Nami... I just feel chilly again." Suo replied, reassuring the younger as they continued to make their way to eat.
They wandered through the facility, the white indoors that harmed the eyes if one stared too long. Nami eventually let go, running to the lunch line with Suo following suit.
"Nami, I told you not to run." Suo caught up easily, the shorter jumping around like joy had been engraved in her skin the moment she was born.
The two had eventually recieved their food, Nami getting portions of curry with bread while Suo had gotten soup with chunks of potato and carrot for something to chew on. Nami happily skipped away to the younger age group, sitting happily with her age-related friends while Suo watched momentarily.
After deeming Nami would be alright, she turned around, walking to an empty seat before being approached by a tall male. A male she knew all too well.
"Suo! I was looking up and down all of Anakt for you!" He exclaimed, holding his tray while standing in front of the seat across from Suo. "I thought you had gotten in trouble again! You and your independent attitude will get you in trouble like always!" He scolded, as if drilling the foundation into her head like he was a teacher. Her, the student.
"Promise me, you'll never get yourself into trouble?" The taller asked, staring down at Suo while she ate. "Suo! Promise me!" The taller groaned, reaching out and pressing his fingertips against her cheek.
"I- I... Yes, sorry." Suo flinched, pulling back from the warmth that had grazed her cheek. "I promise, Orion." Suo mumbled, gazing up at the older boy.
Well, he wasn't that old. He was only a year older... but still enough to be her senior.
Orion sighed, moving to sit down across from Suo. He placed his tray down, staring at Suo momentarily before sighing and taking a bite of his bread.
"Sure you will." He grumbled, pointing his fork accusatorially at her. He waved it around, before poking the glasses that sat atop her nose lightly. "... I just don't want anything to happen to you." He mumbled, reaching out a hand, as if beconing Suo to take it.
"I'll be fine. It's not like I'm your only worry. You must be worrying about everyone." Suo replied quietly, reaching out and grazing her cold finger tips against his. "I'm not the only one in the garden. I'm only one of many flowers." Suo mumbled, a bit uncomfortable with the warmth that seeped into her finger tips.
"Oh, come on..." Orion lightly grasped her hand, tight. Firm. "Warm up. I can't have your hands getting too cold." He mumbled, continuing to eat his food.
"I'm not worthy."
"Huh?" He turned to Suo, momentarily confused. "Did you say something?" He asked, before biting into his bread again. The bread looked delicious, but Suo knew it wouldn't be allowed for someone like herself.
"No. Just thinking." Suo replied, her gaze drifting back to the soup on her plate. Bad memories. "Just... a thought." Her voice lowered, moving her spoon in circles. She sat there, watching the liquid stirr.
"If I were to die, I assume I'm not worthy of your mourning." Suo murmured to herself, momentarily gazing at the hand that held her own.
It felt warm.

Singing practice was always the grueling part. It was uncomfortable, being watched by disgusting, vile vermin that made one squirm. The feeling of being disected on a lap table. The kind of feeling you get when being poked and prodded at. Both internally, and externally.
Everyone always did well, there was always no room for worry. Although, the people who would get... special treatment. Speical care, provided by a disgusting looking creature.
Suo sang, although... out of the corner of her eye, she would continue to be eyeing the queer looking fellow. Dark, long, pink colored hair tied into two ponytails.
"Suo! I would appreciate if you sang that pretty little voice higher! No time to be distracted!" An dismorphed alien shouted at her, making Suo glare at him momentarily before loudening her voice to keep up with the rest. He slammed his many tentacles on the table repeatedly, causing racket that enventually dimmed the sound of singing.
Eyes glanced over to Suo, who was still singing despite the loud bangs by the alien. It wasn't long until the alien eventually ceased, the music eventually ending. Suo eventually silenced after the final note, glancing in the alien's direction.
It wasn't long until bots in white came to whisk Suo away. She knew what would happen, being put in a 'recreational center'. A white room, where only light would remain. Of course, the occasional instrument and music sheets.
She had been there many times before due to the stupid brat's tantrums. For such an old looking sag of purple flesh, he was childish. How could one fathom a being like him in power?
Suo let out a pained groan, being thrown into the room after having her restraints removed from her wrists. Her glasses laid crooked on her face, laying there on the hard white floor that seemed too bright for it's own good.
Suo slowly sat up, looking at the now shut door as she heard the lock click. She remembers it greatly- the first time she was locked in this room. She kicked at the door, clawed at the walls until blood poured from her nail beds.
But, she knew better now, it was futile to escape. Might as well let the disgusting sow calm his nonexistent ass down. It never ceased to amaze Suo how one could be childish when they have the age to be mature. Maybe it's just the privilege that goes to ones head. An inflated sense of pride an ego must be the reason, yes?
"Either that or he gets a kick out of it." Suo mumbled, irritated as she stood alone in the white space.
