Kids can be unpredictable at anytime and Mia wasn't an exception as she doesn't behave her age that's one reason Edward James admire here a lot but he finds her annoying when she demands somethings out of the blue.
' this little brat how does she expects me to bring her mom_ ha if only she'll understand my pain' these were Edward James thoughts when his assistant called to inform him about the news.
He stood up and headed to his study but Mia stopped him.
"Daddy are you bringing mumy today, can I come with you?" She asked
"Your mom is busy and won't be able to make it" he told her but she starts crying.
"I hate you I hate mumy_ I hate you both you don't care about me" she kept crying Edward felt stock.
"It's okay my darling girl stop crying will you; okay let's do this why don't you come with me to Js fashion and Dave will design a barbie dress for you" he tried to coax her and she stopped crying.
By the time they arrived at the company the little girl had slept so Edward James had to carry her while resting her head on his shoulder.
This was the first time he is bringing her over and those who saw him were spell bond to see their boss with a child.
"Good mor_" Dave who was about greeting his boss received a hot glare from him.
Edward signalled him to get Mia's lunch bag and iPad from the car while he walked towards his personal elevator not caring about some of his employees who took pictures of him and his daughter.
He placed her on his bed inside the lounge but left the door a bit ajar before proceding to attend to his work.
It wasn't until two hours later he heard the little girls voice right beside him. If looks could kill his secretary would have been dead as he had instructed her to watch over the little girl while he stepped out for a meeting.
He's client were surprised and at the same time admired how the little girl just walked in calmly and whispered Daddy softly without creating a noise.
"Daddy I want mumy" Mia said softly but Edward James wasn't finding it funny.
"My darling daddy is busy and he'll be with you when he'd done" the secretary tried to coax the little girl but she refused instead she held Edward's arm. Edward knows Mia could be stubborn when she wants to so he didn't blame it on the secretary.
"You can leave" Edward said to the secretary and she bows slightly before walking out.
"Excuse me please" he said to the shareholders as he stood up carrying Mia on his arms going outside the conference room.
"Now tell me what you want and why did you disobey the aunt when she tried to stop you?" Edward asked not finding her pouting face funny. Mia looked at her feet feeling sorry she murmured an apology.
"I can't hear you young girl" Edward told her in a stern voice though he was pretending to be.
"Am so sorry daddy it won't repeat itself" Mia apologized, Edward couldn't bear to see her tears he lifted her up and walked back into the conference room but he hands her over to his assistant Dave.
