While Joe was undergoing tests of Lumi, in the north part of mansion His grandparents were sitting at the edge of a pristine lake in a gazebo. Silviya was staring at Silvester with her sharp gaze, and he was feeling flustered. She asked, " Sil are you trying to convert 10-year-old into your heir, That kid has already suffered a lot at the hands of Mayans. You are not allowed to mess with his childhood. He should go to the best school available at Indraprastha, he should have normal friends and enjoy all the things that he should at his age."
Silvester hearing this started sweating profusely. Everyone one was scared of him in Indraprastha. But very few people knew that he could not utter a single word against his wife. He carefully spoke, "Honey, Listen to me. I am just trying to make him stronger. In future if someone from Mayans goes against him or even our enemies go against him then he must be able to protect himself. I plan to weaken Mayans too. They should be punished for going against the member of Trodeau family."
Hearing this, Silviya was intrigued and asked him, " how are you planning to teach lesson to Mayans. We may be strong financially, but Mayans have a strong military, and their void priests are force to be reckoned and are also respected all over the human space."
The second test: Loyalty or Logic?
The silence stretched as Joe's words echoed through the simulated void, his defiance hanging between him and Lumi's vast intelligence.
Then—the environment changed again.
This time, the simulation did not present another battlefield, another dilemma of war and survival. Instead, Joe was suddenly standing within Vetr's frozen wastelands, his surroundings eerily familiar. The dark skies twisted unnaturally, as though reality itself was unstable.
And in front of him—Agatha stood alone.
She looked almost the same—platinum blonde hair whipping in the frigid wind, azure eyes sharp and distant. But there was something different—something deeply wrong.
Freya was no longer just an ethereal guardian lingering beside her. The Erythari was fully merged with her form, shifting and flickering like a living specter intertwined with her body, something more than human, more than Erythari.
Joe stepped forward instinctively.
"Agatha?"
She turned to face him, and for the first time in his life—she did not recognize him.Her expression was unreadable, devoid of emotion, like something far beyond human comprehension.
Then the time paused, and Lumi's voice appeared next to Joe, "This is the path she may take," Lumi's voice resonated around him, distant yet omnipresent. "A being neither human nor Erythari. A force that reshapes existence without control. Your loyalty binds you to her—but loyalty does not prevent destruction."
Joe swallowed, forcing himself to hold his ground.
"You think she's dangerous because she's changing. But has she actually harmed anyone?"
"She is unpredictable," Lumi countered. "Evolution does not conform to morality. What do you do when what you love ceases to be what you know?"
Joe clenched his fists. "I don't make that choice," he said again, firmer this time. "I don't abandon her just because I don't understand her. She's not lost. She just needs someone to remind her who she is."
"She may not recognize me, but can you guarantee that she has also forgotten our bond that we shared. Did she forget who taught her about the world outside Vetr, who told her about various desserts which led her to develop a severe case of sweet tooth."
"You claim to be an omnipotent AI; can you imitate the emotions and feeling that we shared through our friendship. Even the ethereal Erytharies are not able to absorb the emotions like love and the feelings and bonds developed due to unwavering loyalty of one human to another. Can you analyze all these parameters."
Lumi's presence intensified. She was stumped by the questions raised by Joe. Her creators never provided her with data related to this aspect of sentient beings. All her time observing humans on Vetr and other planets where she could observe humans without being known, she chose to ignore this aspect of human civilization merely noting it down as a minor quirk of humans. Now when she analyzed everything further, she realized that not only love but even bonds formed sue to loyalty among humans and emotional energy generated due to it was also resistant to attack by Erytharies.
Her creators did not have such bonds among them. They interacted with each other solely in barter system. All their interactions were like trade. When she was created, she was tasked with calculating optimum trade value between the members of the civilization. When civilization reached its pinnacle there was nothing to trade, all the members were optimized for current physical dimension and were collectively progressing towards the future. There was no Loss nor any profit only steady progress of civilization. If they were alive now, they would not be different from the Husks living on the lost human worlds. She even calculated a probability that this might be one of the significant factors which led to annihilation of the species by another super sentient race that appeared suddenly attacked and erased all the planets of the race before they initiated their partial ascension, except Vetr and disappeared as if they did not exist. Lumi, except for few trace data about that civilization had nothing worthwhile on that super civilization. She had never shared these details with humans on Vetr as she did not assess them to be qualified for this knowledge.
She decided to allot significant portion of her analytical power to this problem in future. Though, it appeared to take a long time for this analysis, she only took few seconds to make all these calculations. Then, she returned back to current situation. The simulated world fractured, space warping around them like a broken mirror, distorting the landscape.
Joe felt everything—the overwhelming pressure of Lumi's intellect analyzing his every thought, his reasoning, his emotional vulnerabilities.
The AI was not just evaluating his loyalty. It was testing whether his loyalty was rational or reckless.
For what felt like an eternity, Lumi remained silent.
Then, finally, its resonance shifted, the intensity dimming slightly.
"Your presence stabilizes Agatha Snow under certain conditions. However, emotional connections introduce variables beyond calculated control."
Joe straightened, refusing to back down.
"You're scared of uncertainty. I get it. You function on probabilities, but you're dealing with emotions—you can't predict them like a mathematical equation. But you have the data now. You've seen that Agatha and I are stronger together. So, tell me—am I still a threat?"
Lumi paused, and Joe realized something staggering—
The AI was not rejecting him outright.
Conclusion: The War for Agatha's Future Is Far From Over
Lumi did not answer immediately.
It was still calculating, still considering whether Joe Maya was a force of control or chaos in Agatha's evolution.
But Joe had accomplished something no one else had ever done before. He had forced an AI that transcended human thought to reconsider its logic.
And whether it allowed him to contact Agatha or not—Joe had already begun to change the course of history.
