"Quick, get everyone out of here!"
While Nanaya and the Captain clashed, the fighters themselves stayed locked in battle, but the nearby Shinigami panicked. They scattered in all directions, not wanting to be caught in the crossfire of two monsters.
Kyoraku Shunsui stroked his chin, stepped back a safe distance, and glanced at Starrk."How about we find a place to have a drink?" he suggested casually.
Starrk scratched his head, put away his musket, and replied, "A drink, huh? I've heard of it, but never tried it. Sure, why not?"
The two laid-back warriors from Hueco Mundo and Soul Society shared a grin.
The surrounding Shinigami stared at them in disbelief, sweat running down their temples, but they still didn't want to leave completely. They simply moved further back, keeping their eyes on the center of the battlefield.
This wasn't a life-or-death fight—just a spar—but it was still a spectacle worth watching.
After all, the fighters were the strongest of their races.
The most powerful Shinigami—Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni. The strongest man—Nanaya.
A clash between these two was bound to shake the world, perhaps even alter its balance entirely.
When the Amanuma Spear and Ryūjin Jakka collided, the world seemed to fall silent for a split second—then a thunderous roar ripped through all of Seireitei.
Boom!Boom!
The ground on both sides of the fighters vanished instantly, as if it had been erased from existence. Buildings nearby were reduced to nothing, like they had never existed at all.
"These two monsters… they just wiped out matter itself," someone muttered.
Sui-Feng, drenched in sweat, spoke through clenched teeth."Compared to my Suzumebachi's Bankai, these two really are the true one-hit killers. Ryūjin Jakka's flames are fused into the blade itself—flames so hot they can't even be seen. Anything unseen… is completely erased."
Her gaze shifted to Nanaya's weapon."And his Amanuma Spear… it destroys matter from the very root. These two aren't just strong—they're monsters!"
Shinigami and Hollows alike could only stare in awe.
From within the meteorite, the spiritual senses of Kirinji Tenjirō and Shutara Senjumaru spread out, and both of them were stunned.
"So strong… these two are way beyond us," they admitted inwardly. "Even Hyōsube himself might not be able to suppress them."
For the first time, they realized how foolish they'd been.
Even as members of the Royal Guard, they were no match for these two titans. Thinking back to their earlier boasting, their faces burned with embarrassment.
Yamamoto squinted at the Amanuma Spear in Nanaya's hand—a weapon shaped like a spiraling strand of DNA."Interesting. Even after all this time, your blade hasn't melted under my Ryūjin Jakka."
At this point, Ryūjin Jakka's flames had reached an unimaginable 15 million degrees Celsius—the temperature of the sun's core.
Any normal Zanpakutō, even in Bankai, would have been reduced to molten slag after just a few clashes.
But Nanaya's spear didn't even have a scratch.
Nanaya smirked. As the spiral spear in his hands twisted and extended, he slashed down and said,"Of course. This weapon can both create and destroy worlds. It has the greatest hardness of anything in existence.
Unlike the Six Paths Staff, the Amanuma Spear carries its wielder's will. As long as that will doesn't waver, this weapon can never break."
To him, it was the perfect weapon.
After dozens of collisions, massive canyons had been carved into the earth.
Some cuts came from Ryūjin Jakka. Some from the Amanuma Spear.
Together, they left the battlefield looking like a wasteland—a scene of natural disaster.
The surrounding Shinigami were speechless.
The enormous cracks stretched across multiple divisions, as though threatening to split Seireitei in half.
It was hard to believe this destruction came from sheer physical force.
Yamamoto narrowed his eyes, stepped back, muscles tightening, and gripped his Zanpakutō with both hands. He swung down and roared:
"Zanka no Tachi, North—Heaven and Earth Reduced to Ash!"
A boundless sea of fire compressed into the edge of his blade.
The heat was so extreme that the air warped, and the sword itself glowed with a dangerous purple hue.
It was a fiery slash, detached from the blade, racing toward Nanaya.
Seeing this, Nanaya's eyes lit up with excitement. His Nine Magatama Sharingan spun, and he clenched his right fist, aiming it forward.
"Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack!"
Reiatsu surged violently into his fist.
When it reached its peak, Nanaya drove it forward, straight into the oncoming wave of purple-flamed destruction—without hesitation.
In that instant—
Countless purple fist shadows filled the sky.
The tightly compressed flaming blade clashed against the purple fists mid-air, and the deafening explosion shook all of Seireitei.
The shockwave ripped through the area, blasting nearby buildings into rubble.
Even the captains watching from a distance had to take a few steps back.
Feeling the intense force, Hirako Shinji swallowed hard."This is insane… I've never seen anyone push the old man this far."
Muguruma Kensei's mouth twitched. "Good thing he didn't use Bankai back when we defected."
The other Visoreds who had returned to Seireitei also swallowed nervously.
Ōtoribashi Rōjūrō spoke in his usual refined tone, "If he had used Bankai back then, we'd all be dead."
Sarugaki Hiyori shivered, kicked him hard, and snapped,"Don't say stuff like that, idiot!"
Hirako Shinji's expression grew serious as he turned his gaze to Nanaya."But in this case… I finally understand why the Royal Guard is so fixated on him."
Nanaya's strength really was beyond reason. He was fighting evenly with the Captain-Commander himself.
The rest of the Visoreds nodded in agreement.
A human with such terrifying power… no wonder the Shinigami felt uneasy.
"East and North didn't work?"
Old Man Yamamoto narrowed his eyes, staring at the human boy in front of him."I didn't expect this…"
For the first time in a thousand years, Yamamoto had taken his once-tyrannical Bankai, Zanka no Tachi, and refined it into four forms: East, West, South, and North. Each form had its own unique ability—and devastating power.
If East and North were ineffective… Yamamoto's gaze sharpened."Boy, the next move is like facing the sun itself. Be careful… or you'll be reduced to ash."
As he spoke, Yamamoto's body ignited in a blazing inferno.
The temperature rose so fast it could be seen with the naked eye.
A coat of living flames wrapped around his body, radiating an unbearable heat. The fire roared upward into the sky, twisting the very air around him, as if the world itself might ignite.
He looked like a god of fire, standing there wrapped in the sun's own mantle.
Then, word by word, he declared:"Zanka no Tachi, West—Zanjitsu Gokui!"
In the next instant, Yamamoto—clad in his blazing sun-like armor—charged straight at Nanaya.
"Hah… it really does look like the sun."
Feeling the scorching heat rush toward him, Nanaya finally let his expression harden.
From his point of view, Yamamoto wasn't a man anymore—he was a fire god, his flames burning so brightly they could rival the sun itself.
The heat was beyond comprehension—over 15 million degrees Celsius, hotter than the core of the sun.
Even though some claimed that Zero Division's Yamato Shou was stronger than Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni, Nanaya wasn't so sure. At this temperature, the Captain-Commander's attack was already at the very peak of destructive power.
He muttered to himself, "I really want to see who's stronger—you or Yamato Shou…"
But his hands didn't slow. Raising his right hand forward, he called out:"Shatter into dust—Dead Bone Pulse!"
In an instant, pale bone erupted from his arms, spreading to his palms, elbows, knees, shoulders…
"I know this move…"
"Dead Bone Pulse—Willow Dance!"
Stepping forward, Nanaya charged head-on at the sun-like Yamamoto, laughing in excitement."Old man! My Dead Bone Pulse, surpassing even the Six Paths, won't lose to your Zanjitsu Gokui!"
