Chapter 101 - Chapter 101: Uniform Menos Grande's Experiment, Love Aikawa Who Questions Life

"The barrier almost broke..."

Hachigen held the glowing blue cube in his hand, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

"Good thing I added a fifth layer of Kidō. If I hadn't, that Hadō No. 91 would've destroyed the entire warehouse."

"I finally believe what Hirako Shinji and the others said… humans are terrifying," Love Aikawa muttered, his face still stunned.

"I've never seen someone with that kind of talent," Yadoumaru Lisa whispered. "He watched Kidō No. 91 once… and learned it just like that…"

"I'm starting to wonder… am I just a victim of Aizen's Kyōka Suigetsu?" Kuna Mashiro stared blankly at the ceiling, questioning her entire existence.

Ōtoribashi Rōjūrō, holding a spiritual instrument and maintaining his usual calm appearance, twitched slightly and said, "I believe it now. That guy really might be able to fight the Captain-General."

Hadō spells above level 80 are so destructive, they're comparable to Bankai attacks from captain-level Shinigami.

That's why the top-tier Kidō experts hold such a special place in Soul Society—their power is on another level.

Even though everyone here was once a captain or vice-captain in the Seireitei, very few of them had ever learned Kidō above level 90.

It's just too hard. Even a single spell can take hundreds of years to master.

Nearby, Hirako Shinji, Muguruma Kensei, and Sarugaki Hiyori stood in silence, the corners of their mouths twitching.

They had already explained everything clearly, but the rest of the Visoreds hadn't believed them.

They thought it was impossible for a human to be this powerful.

And now?

They were proven wrong—and completely shaken.

"Don't say that," Qiye said with a smile. "Kidō in the 90s is still really difficult."

Compared to lower-level Kidō, anything above 50 is much harder and more complicated to use.

The Visoreds looked like they wanted to punch him.

With a dark expression, Hirako Shinji glared at Qiye. "Mr. Qiye… do you know what the most hurtful thing you can say is?"

"What?"

"It's when you beat someone badly, and then try to comfort them like it's no big deal. It just makes it worse."

Shinji looked up at the sky in frustration.

"If I had talent like that, maybe I wouldn't have been so helpless during the Hollow incident a hundred years ago…"

Qiye smiled without replying and continued training in Kidō with Tessai Tsukabishi.

A few hours later…

Tessai Tsukabishi walked over to a corner of the warehouse, squatted down, and sighed.

"Hachigen, you've been learning Kidō from me for hundreds of years… and this is the first time I've realized how bad your talent really is."

Hachigen, looking miserable, said, "Teacher, I get that you're in a bad mood, but do you have to take it out on me?"

Learning Hadō No. 100 in just three hours—there had never been anything like it in the entire history of Soul Society.

Who could possibly compare to that monster?

Qiye pulled back his hand and smiled. "It's mainly because Uncle Tessai is such a good teacher. You explained every detail perfectly."

Tessai turned his head and gave a bitter smile. "How thick-skinned do you have to be to say something like that?"

Most people need explanations, practice, and lots of trial and error before they can master a Kidō spell.

But Qiye?

He just needed to see it once. No teaching, no practice. He could copy it perfectly.

Qiye leaned against the wall in silence, thinking about the Kidō he had just learned.

"It's a shame there are some limitations…"

Even with his talent, high-level Kidō still had drawbacks.

The more powerful the spell, the more demanding it became.

For example, Hadō No. 96: Blade Cremation. The user has to set a large part of their own body on fire to cast it.

Basically, it's a self-destructive spell.

"But that makes sense," Qiye muttered. "If high-level Kidō didn't have limits, why would Shinigami even need Bankai?"

He glanced at Kurosaki Ichigo, who was still inside the barrier, roaring and fighting fiercely.

Most of his body had already undergone partial Hollow transformation, and he could even use attacks like Cero, which only Menos Grande could use.

His opponent was Muguruma Kensei, who held him off using only his Shikai, without releasing Bankai—even though the fight was brutal.

As time passed, Kensei began to show signs of exhaustion and eventually stepped out of the barrier.

Hirako Shinji took over, walking in to continue the battle against Ichigo's Hollow.

Finally, after two long days, Kurosaki Ichigo overcame the Hollow inside him.

He shattered the Hollow part of himself with his Zanpakutō.

Seeing what had just happened, no one felt excited. Instead, the tension in the air grew stronger.

Everyone's eyes slowly turned toward Nanaya.

Kurosaki Ichigo had just managed to suppress the Menos Grande inside him... so the next person up—

—was the even more terrifying Nanaya.

"Is it my turn now?"Qiye licked his lips as he walked into the barrier. He looked at the Visoreds and asked with a grin,"So, who's going to be my first sparring partner?"

The members of the Masked Corps looked at each other, clearly uneasy.

Finally, Love Aikawa stepped forward and said seriously,"I'll do it. But just know—I won't hold back, even if this is just a training match."

"Ehem... ehem..."Hirako Shinji cleared his throat loudly, interrupting him. He gave Aikawa a meaningful look and said,"Love, don't be overconfident. The Menos Grande inside Qiye is strong. Be careful."

Love Aikawa frowned, confused."What are you even talking about? He can only use the Hollow powers from inside him during this phase."

The rest of the Visoreds nodded in agreement.

No matter how powerful Nanaya was, during the process of suppressing the Menos Grande inside him, he could only rely on the Hollow's strength within.

At most, they figured, it would be a Gillian.

Maybe an Adjuchas.

Ichigo fell somewhere between Adjuchas and Vasto Lorde, so they assumed Nanaya's situation would be similar.

Hirako Shinji let out an awkward laugh. He had purposely left out just how terrifying the Hollow inside Nanaya actually was.

He'd only told them it was at the Adjuchas level.

"Don't worry. If I really can't handle it, I'll use Bankai," Love said confidently as he stepped into the barrier. "But don't blame me if it's too much for your guy to handle."

Nanaya didn't waste time with small talk—he immediately sank into his inner world.

Outside the barrier, Rukia Kuchiki, Kurosaki Ichigo, Nel, and Orihime watched with anxious expressions.

Then, just moments later—

"Wait... what the hell is this?!"

"Why has the whole place turned into sand?!"

"Is this seriously just a Cero?!"

Love Aikawa was practically yelling in disbelief.

Nobody had warned him that the Menos Grande inside Qiye would be this strong.

The space inside the barrier had transformed into a desert of endless yellow sand.

A massive sandstorm raged, covering the sky and threatening to bury him alive.

Adjuchas-level?Whose Adjuchas-level Hollow had power like this!?

But that wasn't even the scariest part. What really made Love break into a cold sweat was the black sphere forming at Qiye's fingertip.

It was a Cero, but one that had been compressed with a ridiculous amount of spiritual energy.

"My own Cero... can't compare to this at all."

Love swallowed hard. He now realized the difference between them wasn't just in control—it was in pure power.

Their inner Menos weren't even on the same level.

Without hesitating, he put on his red-and-white Hollow mask, gripped his Zanpakutō tightly, and said in a low voice:

"Break, Tengu!"

In a flash, his blade transformed into a giant spiked mace, thick and full of destructive power.

Just looking at it made it obvious how heavy and deadly it was.

Seeing this, Hirako Shinji shouted from outside the barrier:"Love! You'd better just use Bankai! You won't be able to block that Cero!"

He had tried to block that same Cero once himself.

And at that moment... he had felt the presence of death.

But Love Aikawa didn't listen. He just gripped his mace tighter and growled,"Don't underestimate me. It's just a Cero."

He roared, then charged forward with the giant mace in hand, swinging at the black sphere like it was a baseball.

But then—

BOOM!!!

The explosion was deafening.

Love Aikawa, still holding the mace, was sent flying across the barrier like a baseball knocked out of the park.

He slammed into the barrier's edge and coughed up a mouthful of blood.

His arm shook from the force, and his clothes were shredded by the blast wave.

He looked up at Qiye, completely stunned.

"No way... This thing... is it really a Vasto Lorde-level Menos Grande?!"
