Chapter 130 - Bob and some highlights from the game

[Warning: Graphic scenes and adult themes ahead. Reader discretion advised].

"So, what would you have me do?"

"It's simple. You just have to help us steal "the Secret Sauce."

"Ok, no problem, let's do it."

___

As a result, Fairé Enuff, Locke Smith and Steyk Steeler were currently assessing the Kitchen situation.

"The Secret Sauce" was currently in the middle of the kitchen on the tabletop, but there was a catch.

As in literally. There was a catch on the door leading into the kitchen.

Meanwhile, the Robbers also noted that, bizarrely, two of the Cops, Gude and Bade were on the landing 'having a chat' with a third cop, whom they didn't recognise. After they closed in menacingly on him, two of them had overpowered the third Cop, and had thrown a hessian bag over him.

"What the hell was going on?"

Over Thortit and Shu d'Ferst, with Nortón providing backup, were currently in the process of hunting down Haxxx and Dee Seption.

… As a result, the kitchen was basically unguarded, meaning that the Robbers were able to just walk in and take the Sauce without any opposition.

But not so fast.

Locke immediately went to the kitchen door, turned the handle, and tried to push it open.

No luck. He shook his head.

"I think the door's locked."

It was his time... to shine.

He took out a little torch keychain and shone it at the keyhole in the door.

"Bruh, can you open it?" Steyk asked reasonably.

"Yeah… but I'll need the key."

"... But aren't you good at picking locks though?"

"Come on, I like picking locks, last Sunday I chose a nice sturdy padlock which was quite shiny. But I never said I could unlock doors… like you need a professional for that."

"..." Steyk for the first time in his professional Robber career, was speechless.

Faire meanwhile commented nonchalantly. "Oh. Fair enough." She said agreeably, taking out her compact. Whatever. It was time to moisturise.

Steyk ever the professional, kept them on task, as he frowned. "Hmm… did you try to take the catch off the door before you tried opening it?"

Oh. Locke undid the catch, and tried pushing the door open again. No luck. He shrugged.

Steyk Steeler was a professional, but even he was momentarily stumped. But then he knew what to do. Steeling himself with resolve, he took a few steps back, preparing to do a run-up and to shoulder charge it down.

"Wait."

Faire sighed, as she suddenly noticed something, with her exceptional attention to detail.

"Here, Let me try."

Faire turned the handle, but instead of pushing, this time she pulled.

The door swung open easily.

Locke and Steyk both gasped in unison.

Goddess…

___

Whilst all this was going on, Haxxx had almost been cornered, but at the last moment, entered an elevator, smacking his bottom in a taunting 'catch me if you can' motion towards the chasing Cops.

Sparks flew as the bullets indented the closed elevator doors.

"We know you're in there."

"Norton, can you hack into the elevator mechanism?

"Sadly not."

"...What can you do?"

"...Take up space and give you alerts, updates and alerts about updates?"

"..."

___

Meanwhile, Haxxx went up the elevator, exited into the second floor, and hid behind a pot plant, whilst Over Thortit and Shu cursed and ran to the stairs.

Dee meanwhile had joined the rest of the Robbers in the kitchen area.

___

As Over Thortit and Shu arrived on the second level, Haxx was nowhere to be seen.

It was time for the counterattack. Dee Seption on the first level projected a hologram which caught their attention, and they ran to the balcony and leaned over, aiming to shoot down the pesky Robber.

Haxxx lay in wait from behind, and whipped out a dangly, pixelated implement - a well-practiced - and well-oiled - weapon of choice... in particular some 'variations' had been rumoured to give certain people 'advantages' in chess matches...

Ok, sure, he could escape, but seeing them bent over the railing, it was too good of an opportunity to miss.

At this critical stage, Haxxx chose to go all in, closing his eyes and thrusting forward with the pixellated 'something' in his hand, aiming for full, un-lubricated penetration.

Overthortit turned, but it was too late.

And yet, just as Haxxx completed the thrust, who intervened, but none other than Nortón!!!!

It was heroic. And yet, excruciating.

Amidst the collective groans of all the viewers, the camera panned away, instead focusing on Nortón's face as the pixellated implement plunged deep into a crevice-like, pixellated area, and then zoomed out into a wide establishing shot of the entire hotel complex and out into space itself as a high pitched scream rang throughout the air.

Over Thortit was shook, whilst Shu D'Ferst turned and handily riddled Haxxx with more orifices. It was a shame that they wouldn't be able to be used in any future adult films though.

Haxxx was dead.

Nortón was initially, worse than dead, but after some spasms, he soon also stopped moving permanently.

Over Thortit and Shu d'Ferst shook their heads in disbelief, before running to the kitchen.

___

Gude and Bade were currently asking questions to some guy in a chair.

Eventually to cut a long story short, Inspector Ross, using his exceptional knowledge of Interrogative Psychology, had managed to convince Gude and Bade that they themselves were Robbers.

In the end, they suspected each other and killed each other at the same time.

___

Over Thortit and Shu d'Ferst were now currently surrounding the kitchen area, trading shots with the Robbers who were trapped within.

Faire Locke, Steyk and Dee had gotten the sauce, but were currently trapped in the kitchen.

Steyk Steeler was transforming stuff into steel and throwing it.

Fairé Enuff was moisturising with her compact mirror.

Locke was picking more locks on an online website.

___

"Dee Seption is so OP!!!" The viewers exclaimed.

But with no combat skills, it was only a matter of time before she was cornered.

Over Thortit and Shu had finally cornered Dee, but she had one last trump card.

"One… final deception…" she murmurs, licking her lips…

With her final breath, she multiplied the Secret Sauces into 5, and scrambled them so no one knew which one was the real one, letting out a laugh before her body let out her blood from the bullet holes.

___

Currently, the 5 bottles of Secret Sauces were lined up on the Tabletop.

But which one was the real one?

Tasting the wrong one would be fatal. As a result, Over Thortit needed Guinea Pigs.

Ok. Everyone, put all your weapons on the ground. Everyone complied.

Strip naked. He wasn't taking any chances.

Ok. Now, since Dee is dead, we don't know which is the real sauce anymore. As a result, we need some taste testers.

Currently, remaining was:

Faire

Locke

Inspector Ross

Steyk Steeler

Darken Mysterius

Shu d'Ferst

Overthortit

Overthortit was instructing Shu to keep everyone confined and forcing them to taste the sauces.

___

After a process of trial and error, only Over Thortit, Shu, Darken were left.

There was 1 bottle of sauce left on the countertop.

And there wasn't much time left.

"We still need to hunt down Eva Sion. We got the sauce. Let's go."

Over Thortit smirked.

"I don't think so."

Over Thortit suddenly trained his gun onto Shu. Now that there was one bottle of sauce left, it was too risky to try to catch Eva in the limited time remaining. There was only one way to guarantee victory.

Shu was the most dangerous, and needed to be dispatched first.

Shu couldn't believe it.

"Bro, really?"

As he raised his hands, he started... talking. Looking back, this was inevitable. He always knew that this day would come. After all the times he had "shot first", deep down, he knew ultimately, he would always have to ask questions later.

"Think… think of the cost to your soul… By choosing betrayal, choosing violence, we would be playing right into their hands…

Brother... Is that the path you would take?"

Shu d'Ferst spoke calmly and yet with righteous indignation, lending an immense affect of gravitas.

The watching audience were immediately filled with feelings, the moral ambiguity, the betrayal, and yet the practicality all simmered and swirled in the kitchen.

What should they do? What would they do themselves in that situation?!

Unfortunately, since this was a VR game, it somehow lacked the real-world grounding.

"Yeah, pretty much." Over Thortit said apologetically in a 'nothing personal' kind of way, as he fired several rounds into Shu's chest, who crumpled lifeless to the floor.

___

*A little earlier*

Eva Sion and Darken Mysterius were making themselves scarce.

Darken however, couldn't help himself and channelling Bob's insane Rizz Index, they started chatting.

"Eva… do you trust me? Let's win together, yeah?"

Eva was charmed. "O-Okay, Darken."

Darken handed her something.

"Keep this safe. Now go!"

"Okay!"

___

In the end, Overthortit had killed Shu, and was now monologuing to Darken.

"Do you know why you guys lost? It was because I was too smart. I was always one step ahead…"

And yet, in the scuffle between Shu and Over Thortit, Darken had the sauce, and was threatening to destroy it, unless Over Thortit surrendered.

___

"It doesn't have to end this way!"

"Give me the sauce, Darken!!!!"

"-Give -me -the sauce."

"You want it?...

Then you can take it!!!"

*The Secret sauce was tossed into the air!!!!*

As always, it was a hectic scene. In slow-motion, the clock was ticking down.

35:59:54… 35:59:55… 35:59:56…

It was elite.

Over Thortit had watched the movies. He knew that at this point, the hero would expect him to be distracted, and he would take his eyes off and as he reached for the sauce, that was when the tables would turn. But he had thought ahead. Accordingly, he had made sure to wear Darken's fancy Kevlin vest…

Hehehe.

He reached for the sauce.

Meanwhile, Darken picked up Shu's gun, and squeezed the trigger.

It was the final deception.

Dee had in fact given *him* the real bottle of the Secret Sauce, meaning that *all* of the bottles of Secret Sauce that Over Thortit had in his possession were in fact fake!!!

In other words, Darken was going to win regardless.

Over Thortit laughed in triumph as he held the (fake) bottle of Secret sauce as the clock clicked over to flash 36:00:00... Time.

But then he stopped laughing, as he looked down wordlessly at the holes in his chest.

The bullets had gone clean through his Kevlin vest…

"H-how?!"

He mumbled, as he fell to the floor, dead.

___

*Post-game*

Darken had survived and accordingly, made it to the Steak Dinner. True to his word he had given Eva Sion the real bottle of Secret sauce, leading her to feel amazing after trusting him!!!

Everyone else was dead.

But luckily, it was a VR game, and as they logged out and returned back to the real world, they were still trying to process what happened.

"Was it worth it?"

"Killing everyone over a steak and some sauce?"

"Yeah, nah. But it was pretty fun I guess."

"Yeah. How did the ratings go?"

It was amazing. The audience has never been so invested.

Ok, good.

In truth, the whole thing had been an indulgence, and Darken had just told them to play it out as they felt like it.

In the end, the Steak-cooking recipe was shared around, everyone enjoyed their Steak, and learned how to make the perfect steak.

And there was of course enough Secret Sauce to go round!!!!

___

In the aftermath, the TV viewers could not stop talking about the show.

All the actors got to have fun.

Everyone got to eat steak with optional secret sauce...

The moral of the story: Keep the killing sprees to games, not real life.

Better to enjoy a meal together!!!
