Chapter 7
Hunter Alliance.
After school, Li Xingze registered for a hunter identity.
Of course, he didn't use his real name, not out of concern for exposure or anything like that.
He just felt that using a pseudonym gave him a bit more prestige.
After registering as "Lu Ze," Li Xingze went to the area of the Urban Demon Hunter Team.
As he walked over, a sweet-looking recruitment girl bumped into his chest.
Although Li Xingze was only in his second year of high school, he was already nearly 1.8 meters tall, while this sweet girl was just over 1.6 meters, and she was looking down.
"Ah, I'm sorry." The recruitment girl's cheeks turned bright red as she hurriedly said, "I didn't see you, I'm really sorry."
Seeing the girl hurriedly apologizing, Li Xingze glanced at the recruitment flyer in her hand and immediately understood that she was from the Urban Demon Hunter Team.
It was truly a stroke of luck.
Li Xingze bent down to help her pick up the flyer that had fallen on the ground.
"Thank you."
"Your Urban Demon Hunter Team is short on people, right? How about me?" Li Xingze asked.
"You?" The sweet girl examined Li Xingze; he looked too young, was he even eighteen?
"Our Urban Demon Hunter Team is looking for mages of at least beginner level two." The sweet girl said tactfully.
"Beginner level two."
Li Xingze was taken aback; his summoning skill was only at beginner level one, and he still had quite a way to go to reach beginner level two.
"Don't you need summoners?" Li Xingze frowned and asked.
"As long as you're not at beginner level two." The sweet girl was about to say no, but then she suddenly looked up at Li Xingze, "Are you a summoner?"
"Yeah."
"You want to join the Urban Demon Hunter Team?"
"Yeah!"
"Really?"
"Absolutely."
After confirming several times, the sweet girl happily ran back.
Li Xingze raised an eyebrow; the girl seemed quite cute, but her behavior was so frantic.
After waiting for half a minute, Li Xingze heard a loud roar: "What!"
"Are you saying that there's a summoner who wants to join our Urban Demon Hunter Team?" Xu Dahuang looked at the sweet girl Xiao Ke with surprise and joy.
Xiao Ke nodded repeatedly and said, "I confirmed it several times; he is indeed a summoner."
"Aren't summoners supposed to have been snatched up by major forces long ago? How did it come to us in the Urban Demon Hunter Team?" Wind mage Li Wenjie questioned.
"His summoned beast isn't some weakling, is it?" Vice-captain Cai Tang speculated maliciously.
"It shouldn't be."
Xu Dahuang wasn't sure either, but summoners at the beginner level had a high upper limit and a low lower limit.
"Let's go see for ourselves." Earth mage Fei Shi had no extra thoughts.
Xu Dahuang nodded, left the room, and walked up to Li Xingze, asking directly, "Are you the summoner?"
Xu Dahuang's voice was loud enough that almost all the mages in the Hunter Alliance heard it. Before Li Xingze could respond, the hunters around began chattering.
"Wow, now summoners are coming out to snatch my job?"
"What the hell, is this summoner out of his mind? Wouldn't it be better to join a major force and secure a good position?"
"I heard there's a genius summoner from Tianlan High School; it can't be this guy, right?"
"That can't be, a student coming out to be a hunter?"
Hearing the noisy voices around him, Li Xingze frowned and said to Xu Dahuang, "No, I am a summoner. Does your Urban Demon Hunter Team need people?"
"Well..." Such an active summoner made Xu Dahuang cautious, "Um, I don't know what your summoned beast is?"
Li Xingze frowned; he wasn't joining the Urban Demon Hunter Team for their combat power, he simply didn't want to hunt demons in the wild.
Besides, he still had academic responsibilities; he couldn't take leave every day, could he?
"I can summon my beast." Li Xingze glanced at the surrounding hunters who had gathered to watch, and continued, "But I'm afraid it might scare you."
"Hehe, I want to see how you can scare me." Cai Tang walked over with a cold smile on her face.
Li Xingze was different from Mo Fan; he hadn't peeked at this woman while she was bathing.
So the two had never interacted and naturally didn't know each other.
"Don't worry, we are all experienced hunters. Even if we encounter a powerful demon, we won't be scared." Xu Dahuang said.
"That's right, I've hunted a few one-eyed magic wolves." A hunter immediately proved his courage.
The remaining hunters also chimed in, boasting about their skills and what "glorious" achievements they had made.
Achievements can be verified!
"Alright, you all clear out an area."
Seeing this, Li Xingze could only showcase his summoned beast.
Upon hearing this, the curious hunters quickly began to move, clearing out an area of about ten square meters.
"Dimensional Summon!"
Li Xingze closed his eyes, already very familiar with controlling the star symbols, and generally, failure would not occur.
Seven star symbols connected to form a star orbit, and then a burst of white light appeared, revealing a majestic golden flame dragon lion before everyone's eyes.
The bragging hunters instantly lost half of their souls upon seeing the golden flame dragon lion.
It was the first time the beast appeared before so many people, feeling as if it was a caged monkey, immediately sensing the insult.
But since its master did not speak, it did not dare to attack, merely letting out heavy breaths.
Upon hearing the sound, some hunters hurriedly fled, while others were so frightened that their limbs went limp.
Even Xu Dahuang and a few others took several steps back; such pressure felt like it could crush them with a single paw!
What surprised Xu Dahuang the most was that flames were burning on the beast's head and tail, indicating that it was a fire attribute beast!
Then his fire spells would be like a joke, and it would be impossible to hurt it.
Perhaps only a lightning mage could possibly injure it, but even then, it would only be a minor injury.
Watching the hunters who were scared to the point of wetting themselves, Li Xingze waved his hand to recall the summoned beast.
Is this it?
After the golden flame dragon lion disappeared, Xu Dahuang and the others finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Since you have such a powerful summoned beast, why do you still want to be a hunter? Wouldn't it be better to join any power?" Xu Dahuang asked in confusion.
"Hunters have more freedom," Li Xingze replied.
Hearing this explanation, Xu Dahuang couldn't help but laugh; this guy was still too young. Freedom is not as important as resources and life!
However, with such a powerful ally in the city demon-hunting team, their safety would certainly increase significantly.
This was a good thing, so Xu Dahuang did not continue to persuade Li Xingze.
With such a formidable weapon, they would not encounter danger in the city at all.
