CHAPTER 2 :-"BLOOD AND SNOW"

Kasauli – Night

The emergency room of Kasauli General Hospital pulsed with urgency. Dr. Siya Mehra was already deep into a surgery her gloved hands steady, her focus razor-sharp. A young woman had suffered internal bleeding from a highway crash, and Siya had just stabilized her vitals.

Outside, the night was cold, silent, the kind of silence that came before a storm.

Her phone buzzed.

"Gunshot victim incoming. Male. Multiple bullets. Critical condition. ETA ten minutes."

Siya snapped off her gloves. "Prep OR 3. Alert trauma team. I'm on it."

---

Meanwhile – Outskirts of Kasauli

A sleek black SUV raced through the narrow hill roads, cutting through the fog like a bullet. Snow flurried lightly in the air, catching on the windshield.

Inside, Veer Singhania sat in the back, dark eyes trained on the side mirror. His voice was calm, but cold.

"Those two cars. They've been tailing us since we left the airstrip."

Raghav, behind the wheel, checked the mirror. "I see them. Orders?"

"Let them make the first move," Veer replied, loading his gun. "Then we end it."

Moments later (chaos.)

The cars behind them surged forward, headlights blinding. Gunfire exploded in the silence. Bullets hit the SUV, glass shattered, tires screeched.

"Down!" Raghav shouted.

Veer fired back, bullets flying through the broken window, but there were too many. One shot struck his shoulder. Another grazed his side. And then (CRASH!)

The SUV lost control and slammed into a tree. Steam rose from the engine. Blood stained the snow.

Raghav, injured and dazed, dragged Veer out of the vehicle. "Stay with me, boss," he muttered, his own hands trembling.

Veer was fading fast, blood soaking through his shirt, his breathing shallow.

Raghav grabbed his phone, voice shaking as he sent out a message to the Singhania estate:

" emergency". Veer injured. Taking him to Kasauli hospital. Send men. Now."

---

Kasauli General Hospital – Moments Later

Doors burst open as Raghav stumbled in, half-carrying, half-dragging Veer through the ER entrance.

"Gunshot wounds!" he yelled. "He's critical help him!"

Doctors and nurses rushed forward, a gurney rolled out, and Siya appeared at the front of it all her white coat flying behind her like a shield.

"What happened?" she asked, taking charge immediately.

Raghav, breathing hard, said just one name.

"Veer Singhania."

She didn't recognize the weight that name carried not yet. All she saw was a man bleeding out in front of her, young, strong, and dying.

"Get him to OR now!" she ordered.

As they rolled him in, Veer's half-lidded eyes fluttered open. For a brief second, through the chaos, he saw her.

Dr. Siya Mehra.

Her face lit by the harsh glow of hospital lights. Calm. Focused. Beautiful.

His vision blurred

but he smiled.

Just for a second.

Then darkness claimed him.
