Chapter 217 - Chapter 217: Cherish the Ladies

Kaguya never imagined her immortal body would become an instrument for another's torture.

She attempted resistance, but her efforts proved futile. No matter how she defended or evaded, Richard's Masamune cut through her body effortlessly, forcing her to endure the searing pain of cold steel slicing through flesh. Worse still, as time passed, she discovered Richard had infused the Masamune with magical energy. When he cut her, this magic lingered in the wounds, preventing rapid healing and prolonging her agony.

Though Richard had mastered Tsukuyomi from Itachi, the technique held no effect against Kaguya. While Tsukuyomi represented the pinnacle of genjutsu, it simply couldn't draw Kaguya's consciousness into its illusory realm. Unless Richard could transform Tsukuyomi from a chakra-based illusion into one powered by magic, it would remain ineffective against her.

However, Richard wasn't particularly concerned by Tsukuyomi's limitations. Though using the Masamune to repeatedly cut Kaguya was less efficient, he remained unhurried. As long as Kaguya refused to beg for mercy, he could continue this one-sided assault indefinitely.

Time passed gradually. Almost imperceptibly, Kaguya had endured thousands of strikes from Richard's Masamune. Initially, she managed to resist the pain through sheer willpower. But as time wore on, her resolve began faltering.

After enduring another Octaslash from Richard, Kaguya finally broke her silence.

"Stop!" she shouted.

Hearing her cry, Richard not only continued but immediately executed another Octaslash.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

Eight more gaping wounds appeared across Kaguya's body.

"I surrender!" After realizing Richard wouldn't relent—indeed, had inflicted eight more wounds—Kaguya finally begged for mercy.

This time, Richard ceased his attacks.

"Are you truly surrendering?" he asked. "You've given up already? It hasn't even been half an hour."

Though Richard had employed numerous techniques like Octaslash and Gravesong, he'd carefully controlled their power, minimizing his magical energy consumption. Even without automatic regeneration of his magical reserves, at the current rate of expenditure, he could continue this one-sided assault for five or six days continuously.

Everyone in the shinobi world recognized that Richard's chakra capacity rivaled a true Tailed Beast. What they didn't realize was that his current chakra reserves constituted less than half his total magical energy.

"No more fighting. I'm no match for you," Kaguya replied quickly. "I surrender—seal me now!"

Though intensely reluctant, she had to acknowledge her inability to match Richard. She remained unaware of what other powers he might possess, but what he'd demonstrated thus far already exceeded her capabilities. Rather than continue being Richard's plaything, she preferred being sealed again. If nothing else, at least after sealing, she would no longer experience the agony of repeated lacerations.

"I've stated before, my purpose isn't to seal you, only to defeat you," Richard responded casually. "Now that you've voluntarily admitted defeat, we can proceed to the next phase."

The next phase?

Kaguya immediately frowned, eyeing Richard warily. "What do you want?"

"Nothing significant. I merely wish to extract the Tailed Beasts from your body," Richard explained. "Except for the Three-Tails and Nine-Tails, all other Tailed Beasts currently reside within you. I have a fondness for collecting special items and entities, so I'll be taking these Tailed Beasts."

Though Richard spoke truth, to Kaguya it sounded like preparation for sealing. At present, she had been successfully resurrected through Obito, who had become the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki. This meant that if sealed directly, the Eight Tailed Beasts—including the Ten-Tails—would be imprisoned alongside her.

In the original timeline, Naruto and Sasuke had employed Six Paths—Planetary Devastation to seal Kaguya and Black Zetsu together after extracting the Tailed Beasts from her body.

If possible, Kaguya preferred retaining the Tailed Beasts within her. Though her power wouldn't diminish significantly without them, she remained reluctant to surrender them. The problem was, she had no alternative.

Kaguya fell silent, contemplating her options. Before she could devise another approach, Richard spoke again.

"I give you my word, I will never seal you."

With that declaration, Richard activated his magical energy and performed the rune seal he'd developed. Before Kaguya could respond, runic chains materialized from his right hand, binding her limbs and torso tightly, suspending her in the air in a cruciform position.

Looking at Richard as he cast the rune seal, Kaguya sighed helplessly. "Let's proceed."

Though she harbored doubts about trusting Richard's character, she currently had no choice but acceptance.

Richard nodded and began extracting the Tailed Beasts from Kaguya's body. Since beasts like Shukaku to Gyūki had been absorbed into the Ten-Tails, Richard first extracted the Ten-Tails itself.

When the Ten-Tails appeared before him as a sphere of light, he began separating the seven Tailed Beasts contained within it. In less than thirty seconds, one large and seven smaller orbs of different-colored light materialized before Richard.

As these light spheres appeared, he proceeded to the next step. Before Kaguya's eyes, he condensed these luminous orbs—each containing a Tailed Beast—into energy crystals.

Soon after, eight fist-sized energy crystals floated silently before Richard. After examining them with satisfaction, he stored them within his system space.

Except for the Three-Tails, which he had yet to crystallize, all other Tailed Beasts had now been sealed within rune-inscribed energy crystals under his control.

After storing the crystals in his system space, Richard maintained the runic chains restraining Kaguya.

"I won't seal you, but for safety's sake, I'll impose certain restrictions," he said. "After all, no one else in this world can restrain you except myself. But before that, please expel Uchiha Obito. I understand you require Obito to maintain your current form, but rest assured—I won't kill you. I've always been compassionate."

Though Kaguya had successfully resurrected using Obito as a medium, this didn't mean she would immediately perish without him.

Kaguya remained silent but circulated chakra throughout her body, "expelling" the resurrection medium. Under Richard's watchful gaze, Obito was ejected from Kaguya's body, plummeting to the ground like a meteor.

With the Ten-Tails removed, Obito reverted from his Six Paths Sage form to his normal human appearance.

Richard ignored the fallen Obito and channeled his magical energy to create a fist-sized crystal containing substantial magical power before Kaguya. Once formed, Richard directed the crystal toward her.

Under Kaguya's gaze, the fist-sized magical crystal sank into her body. As the crystal integrated with her form, Kaguya—whose life force had weakened after losing her resurrection medium—immediately felt powerful energy suffusing her entire being.

Within moments, she returned to optimal condition. More precisely, she reverted to her state before being sealed by Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, the Sage of Six Paths, and his brother Hamura Ōtsutsuki. Essentially, the magical crystal Richard provided had facilitated her complete resurrection in the truest sense.

After completing this process, Richard released the runic chains binding Kaguya's limbs and torso.

Regaining freedom of movement, Kaguya regarded Richard with confusion. "Why would you do this?"

Though Richard had removed the Tailed Beasts from her body and eliminated Obito as her resurrection medium, the magical crystal he provided not only compensated for these losses but restored her to peak condition.

"It's nothing significant. I simply felt sympathy for you," Richard replied casually.

Though his words suggested mere pity, his deliberate creation of a magical crystal for Kaguya transcended simple compassion. If motivated solely by sympathy, Kaguya wouldn't warrant such effort.

His willingness to expend magical energy creating a crystal for Kaguya stemmed from a simpler truth—he found her attractive. Despite her three eyes, horns, and unnaturally pale skin, Kaguya remained a strikingly beautiful woman.

After establishing an intimate relationship with Tsunade that transcended friendship, Richard discovered his previous aesthetic standards had been overly narrow.

Alien? No matter.

Star-Lord provided an excellent example. Having decided to expand his preferences like Star-Lord, Richard conceived the idea of including Kaguya in his personal circle. Beyond this, he contemplated bringing Kaguya, Tsunade, and Yugao Uzuki back to the Marvel Universe.

"Truly? My intuition suggests matters aren't quite so simple," Kaguya responded immediately.

Though sealed for many years, she had lived extensively before her imprisonment. Her life experiences were remarkably diverse.

Richard possessed limited knowledge of Kaguya's existence before her arrival in the shinobi world, but understood her experiences since. The sole uncertainty remaining was whether the Sage of Six Paths' two sons were born from Kaguya and a human.

In the manga, Kaguya lived as an ascetic. After resolving conflicts throughout the shinobi world, humans revered her as the "Rabbit Goddess." Later, amid humanity's blessings and prayers, the two brothers—including the Sage of Six Paths—were born.

The anime presented an alternate narrative. Kaguya fell in love with Tenji, emperor of the Land of Ancestors, subsequently giving birth to Hagoromo and Hamura Ōtsutsuki, who possessed both Ōtsutsuki and human blood. Later, under political pressure, Tenji betrayed Kaguya. Disillusioned, she consumed the chakra fruit, merged with the Divine Tree, and activated Infinite Tsukuyomi, transforming Tenji and humanity into sacrifices for the Divine Tree. To prevent human extinction, she erased certain people's memories and released them. Eventually, her sons discovered the truth of Kaguya's worship of the Divine Tree, and for justice's sake, killed their own mother, sealing Kaguya with their own hands.

"Are you familiar with Tenji, emperor of the Land of Ancestors?" Richard asked Kaguya.

Land of Ancestors? Tenji?

Hearing Richard's question, Kaguya's expression immediately betrayed confusion.

Observing her puzzlement, Richard realized that Hagoromo and Hamura Ōtsutsuki weren't born from Kaguya's romance with Tenji after all.

After several seconds, Kaguya replied, "I know no such person."

"Never mind, then," Richard said. "Let's move past this. I'd rather not waste energy breaking through the dimensional barrier to return. Please use your Amenominaka."

Kaguya nodded and immediately employed Amenominaka. In an instant, they returned from her core dimension to the shinobi world—specifically, to the Valley of the End, now transformed into a massive crater.

Upon returning, Richard flew directly before Kaguya. Then, he embraced her slender waist—a waist no man had ever held.

"Flying Thunder God Technique!"

Without hesitation, Richard executed the Flying Thunder God Technique, transporting himself and Kaguya to the living room of his Konoha residence.

"This is my home," he announced. "You'll live with me from now on."

"I refuse to stay here!" Kaguya responded immediately.

After her declaration, she turned toward the door. But after just a few steps, she froze, her expression darkening terribly.

"I neglected to mention earlier that the crystal I provided not only restores you to optimal condition but serves as a means of control," Richard explained calmly. "Because my magic facilitated your restoration, I can now direct you as I wish. Though I cannot influence your thoughts, controlling your body and chakra remains trivial."

Though Kaguya had surrendered, Richard doubted she would comply with all his future directives. To prevent unpleasant scenarios—such as Kaguya potentially killing Tsunade or Yugao—additional restrictions proved necessary.

After speaking, Richard temporarily lifted his control, returning autonomy to Kaguya's body.

Regaining physical control, Kaguya immediately turned to face Richard, her expression venomous. "Remove these restrictions! I am not your slave!"

"Rest assured, I have no desire to enslave you," Richard replied casually. "Though I'm hardly virtuous, I don't indulge in making others—especially beautiful women—my slaves."
