Chapter 10 - Time with my family

Soon after, the three of them met up. They stood outside the amusement park, tickets in hand, buzzing with excitement.

As they entered, Rantaro immediately caught everyone's attention.

Girls passing by whispered, "Wow... He's so handsome!"

"Is he a celebrity?!"

Even some boys couldn't help but glance with admiration.

Yes, our MC is handsome — handsome AF.

Xiyau kept teasing him. "Brother, so many girls are staring! Should we get you a bodyguard?" Xiyau giggled.

Juiji huffed and crossed her arms. "Tch! Maybe we should start charging a looking fee for you, you show-off! Acting all cool and making girls stare... seriously, have some shame!"

Rantaro rubbed his head with a helpless grin. "Huhuhu, what can I do? Being this handsome is a curse too, you know..."

Juiji clicked her tongue and smacked his arm lightly. "Tch! Still acting smug after all that? Seriously, you're hopeless!"

They burst out laughing and raced toward the rides, the tension disappearing in their laughter.

First was the Ferris wheel, where Xiyau kept rocking the cabin to scare Rantaro and Juiji.

Then the rollercoaster, where Juiji screamed the loudest but acted like she was totally cool after getting off.

At the haunted house, Rantaro pretended to get scared and clung to Juiji like a scared kid — making everyone laugh until their sides hurt.

They took silly pictures, ate way too much cotton candy, and tried every wild ride in the park.

It was pure, warm happiness — something they hadn't felt in a long time.

After a long day, Xiyau shouted, "Now, shopping time!!"

Juiji raised an eyebrow and, with a suspicious smirk, asked,

"Brother Rantaro... where did you get all this money, huh? You didn't rob a bank, right?"

She even crossed her arms, tapped her foot dramatically, and squinted at him like a detective.

Rantaro put his hands up. "I swear, officer! It's all clean money!"

They all cracked up laughing.

At the shopping mall, they went wild.

They tried on clothes, posed ridiculously in front of mirrors, and made Xiyau try a huge hat that almost covered her whole face.

Juiji forced Rantaro into a neon pink jacket "for fun" and said, "You look... uh... unique."

Rantaro stared at himself in horror while the girls rolled on the floor laughing.

At the end of the day, their arms were full of shopping bags and their hearts were full of memories.

Back home, Xiyau leaned her head on Rantaro's shoulder and whispered,

"Brother... thank you. Today was the best day ever."

Rantaro smiled gently and ruffled her hair.

"As long as you're happy, little sunshine... that's all I need."

Outside the window, the stars seemed to shine a little brighter.
