Noble District Streets.
Countless soldiers witnessed the scene, their faces etched with shock. Both the artillery operators and the knights standing guard were completely stunned.
"This is bad. The one in the royal palace has made their move. From the looks of it, our artillery is already losing its effectiveness!" On the main street, Great Knight Chad, astride his horse, wore an exceptionally grim expression.
Gulp~
"Is this... something a human can do?"
The Third Prince Casey was also dumbfounded. Having always lived a life of luxury and never even ventured to sea, he had been filled with lingering fear after seeing Byrd effortlessly cleave buildings and cut steel. He had never witnessed such a spectacle before.
"Every time Elvish Saxon-sama makes a move, it leaves me astonished," an elegantly dressed old noble beside him sighed, then regained his composure and said, "It's fine if the artillery isn't as effective. The previous two waves of bombardment should be enough to inflict heavy casualties on the royal palace's forces."
"Now is the perfect time!"
"Indeed, it's a good time," Casey nodded, then asked with a bitter expression, "But, our barrage of artillery fire has practically destroyed the royal palace. Who will bear Saxon-san's wrath? Sir Chad, can you stand against Saxon-san?"
Elvish Saxon held an incredibly high status within the kingdom. King Dasco XI had always shown him immense respect. He had been stationed at the royal palace for years, possessing terrifying strength.
Rumors even claimed he was loyal to the First Prince Byrd, the first in line of succession. Unless the first in line died, then it would be the second in line; it would never be the Third Prince's turn anyway.
Therefore, confronting such a terrifying powerhouse required an equally strong individual to hold them back.
"This... I cannot," Chad stammered, shaking his head in silent acknowledgment.
While he was confident in his own abilities, he had no chance of victory against the one guarding the royal palace.
"Your Highness, the Third Prince, as for Saxon-san, my Captain will handle him!"
Suddenly, a voice came from the side.
"That voice... it's familiar!"
Casey and the others were startled and turned their heads.
They saw a group of people walking down the street to their right. Among them was a man in a black coat, thin and dark-skinned, his left eye covered by a black eyepatch. A flintlock pistol and a half-meter-long dagger were tucked into his waist, and he wore a pair of brown sandals.
"Galan-san!" Casey exclaimed in surprised delight.
Casey was extremely grateful to this pirate who had offered him so much assistance.
"Morris Galan," Chad slightly frowned.
He recognized this man. He was quite strong and very clever, especially the people he brought with him, who ensured the Third Prince didn't suffer any losses in his conflicts with the First Prince.
However, Chad always felt a sense of ill intent from him, though he wasn't sure if it was just his imagination.
"Your Highness, allow me to introduce you," Galan turned sideways, pointing to a man behind him with a golden earring in his ear and wearing a black coat with white wave patterns. "This is also my Captain, Chris Pirates Captain, Golden Ring Aeridar, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea."
"Your Highness, the Third Prince, it's a pleasure to meet you. Please guide me," Aeridar grinned, giving a friendly, sunny smile.
Seeing his plan succeed step by step, Aeridar was quite grateful to the prince who was 'helping' him usurp the throne.
Of course, if the prince knew Aeridar's true thoughts, he would probably be the first one to try and take Aeridar's head.
"Golden Ring Aeridar!!!"
Hearing that name, Casey, Chad, and the others stared at the young man before them, exchanging glances.
The name Golden Ring Aeridar had already reached the New World through several battles. Though a newcomer, he possessed the terrifying strength of a true great pirate. Apart from the Four Emperors, almost no one dared to underestimate this man.
Although they had heard Galan say he had pledged allegiance to the Chris Pirates and would invite Golden Ring Aeridar to assist them, they hadn't fully believed it. They never expected such a great pirate to actually show up.
"Aeridar-san, welcome." Though the other party was young, Casey dared not be negligent. He quickly dismounted, rushed forward with quick strides, his face beaming.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, a massive blue crescent-shaped slash surged into the sky, erupting directly from deep within the royal palace. It extended outwards, cutting everything in its path—houses, walls, rockeries, or even metal cannons—into two, leaving deep fissures in the ground.
"No! Our position has been discovered!" Seeing the massive slash heading towards their side, Chad cried out in horror.
To detect a target from across the royal palace using Observation Haki, and then unleash such an incredibly powerful slash that traversed an extreme distance, was truly terrifying.
"What a powerful slash!"
Seeing this, Oliver, standing beside Aeridar, his expression fervent, immediately drew his twin blades with a "clang" and stepped forward.
With Nagamitsu and Yubashiri in both hands, a surge of black manifested as Armament Haki enveloped his twin blades, forming a "black blade."
"Heaven, Earth, East, West, South, North, Gate of Life, Seat of Death, Past, Future, with or without form, inseparable from the two polarities that nurture all things.
"A hundred laws converge, yet none transcend the realm of the Three Teachings. Indeed, all creation, a myriad of phenomena, sweeping away the ten directions of the world!"
Holding his black blades, Oliver walked forward step by step, softly chanting, but his entire body exuded a murderous aura, like a Shura from hell.
"Is this guy about to unleash his ultimate move?" Aeridar watched Oliver with a hint of surprise.
The level of murderous aura he was emitting was far more intense than his own; it was enough to terrify or drive insane those with weaker wills.
"I can't believe this guy..." Arlan's eye twitched at the side.
Oliver had actually been hiding such a technique. Just from the starting posture, one could guess it was undoubtedly a powerful move.
"Two-Sword Style Secret Technique, Ten Directions Annihilation: Myriad Phenomena Extinction!"
Accompanied by a low roar, a massive crimson slash burst forth, as if appearing suddenly from the void. It radiated a strong bloody scent and a chilling murderous aura, heading straight towards the enormous blue slash.
Blinding light erupted, and a tremendous roar echoed. The ground shook, and a furious wave of air burst forth like a hurricane, sweeping in all directions. It was like a shockwave, tearing away even large rockeries and kicking up vast clouds of dust and smoke.
Rip, rip, rip...
The two enormous slashes shattered. The fragmented slashes then transformed into countless sharp edges, scattering and slicing through surrounding objects.
Under their ferocious keenness, the ground cracked extensively, and everything around was severed—rockeries, walls, human bodies... even steel bore deep cutting marks.
