________
With Fuguki
Fuguki's eyes sharpened as Yukina disappeared in a puff of white smoke. "Reverse Summoning Jutsu...? But who summoned her—and how?" The tension in his voice mirrored the crease deepening between his brows.
As Fuguki recalled Yukina mentioning the Dire Wolf biting her while she was resting, a thought struck him. "So the cub marked her at that moment… It always intended to summon her back to its realm. Interesting."
Fuguki smirked as the realization sank in, his eyes gleaming with pride as he muttered. 'Girl, you'd better hold on to this opportunity with everything you've got. There are many shinobi out there who'd kill for the chance that just landed in your lap. Don't you dare disappoint me, Yukina.'
"CLICK."
A broad smirk spread across Fuguki's face as he turned and left Yukina's treatment room, the door clicking shut in his wake.
______
Outside Yukina's treatment room
After exiting Yukina's treatment room, Fuguki raised his eyebrows in surprise upon finding Haru waiting just outside
A smirk played at the corners of his mouth when he noticed her blush. "Let's find out if she's the loud type," Fuguki mused, recalling what Yukina had said about Haru.
When Haru saw Fuguki smirking, she quickly looked away, blushing, and muttered curses under her breath. "Damn that girl… she's a demoness! How can a little girl her age say something so vulgar with a straight face?"
"She's unlike any little girl I've ever seen."
Fuguki stepped closer to Haru, gently cupped her chin with his right hand, and pressed a deep, lingering kiss to her lips.
A shiver ran through Haru's whole body when Fuguki pressed his lips to hers in a deep kiss, as if a jolt of electricity ignited every nerve inside her.
With a sly smirk, Fuguki released her lips and quickly moved to kiss her neck, making Haru moan loudly as he found all the right places to tease.
"Mmmhhhm."
Fuguki laughed heartily at Haru's loud moans and said, "So, little Yukina was right—you really are the loud type."
Haru's face flushed deeply at Fuguki's words, and she immediately started cursing Yukina in her head.
Fuguki grabbed her waist tightly with both hands and said, "I think it's time I have some fun with you. Be good and obedient—I like obedient women."
Without saying another word, Fuguki vanished with Haru in a shunshin, while his hand gripping her waist tightly
______
With Yukina
In an ice-covered forest, dire wolves of all sizes and colors prowled silently between the frozen trees.
The dire wolves were scattered across the ice-covered forest—some locked in playful combat, others lounging lazily or curled up in deep slumber.
Meanwhile, their energetic cubs tumbled about, chasing each other through the snow, their high-pitched yips echoing through the still air.
"PUFF."
Suddenly, in a desolate part of the forest, a human-sized puff of white smoke appeared in the sky.
As the white puff of smoke dissolved into thin air, Yukina began falling rapidly from the sky.
"WHAT THE FUCK."
"AAAAAHHHH."
"BAAM."
Yukina slammed into the ground with brutal force, a ragged cough tearing a mouthful of blood from her lips as her torn torso wounds burst open once more, fiery agony ripping through her every fiber.
Yukina's wounds tore open again, blood pouring out uncontrollably as her vision blurred at the edges.
As darkness claimed her, she caught the sound of a muscular voice roaring, "Bright, what the hell are you thinking? Summoning a human into our realm is strictly forbidden!"
The silver-furred Dire Wolf cub slowly turned his head in fear, his eyes widening as he beheld a towering Dire Wolf cloaked in black fur—an enormous axe strapped across his broad back.
The black-furred Dire Wolf shared the same golden eyes as the silver-furred cub and wore a white kimono tied with a dark crimson sash around its waist.
The silver-furred cub glanced fearfully at the black-furred Dire Wolf and said, "Calm down, Father. This human has potential—she could be our new summoner."
When the black-furred Dire Wolf heard this, he bellowed angrily at the cub, "Bright, you know we don't form contracts with humans! You fool—you've broken the law, and you will be punished according to our clan's code."
Suddenly, laughter echoed nearby. "HOHOHOHO, calm down, Fang," a deep voice rang out. "Let's first hear why Bright decided to summon the human child here."
When Bright and Fang heard the laughter, they looked up to see an old, frail, gray-furred Dire Wolf walking slowly toward them, accompanied by a dark green-furred Dire Wolf and a deep purple-furred one.
The old, frail Dire Wolf shuffled forward; he was wearing a black kimono and a bright yellow sash tied around his waist.
His gnarled paw gripped a weathered walking cane with each slow, deliberate step.
By his side walked a deep purple-furred Dire Wolf, and a dark green-furred Dire Wolf trailing slightly behind him, both moving with quiet, respectful grace.
Both the deep purple and dark green-furred Dire Wolves were just as massive as Fang, their imposing forms radiating silent strength.
The deep purple-furred Dire Wolf wore a weathered brown kimono, its fabric rustling softly with each step. An orange sash was tightly wrapped around his waist, and a massive cleaver hung ominously across his back.
The dark green-furred Dire Wolf wore a navy kimono, with a white sash wrapped tightly around his waist. Two massive maces hung heavily at his sides, swaying with each measured step
When Bright and Fang saw the old Dire Wolf approaching, they quickly bowed with deep respect. Fang then asked, "Supreme Elder, what brings you here?
The supreme elder smiled gently and replied, "I happened to be nearby when I saw the human child being summoned to our home.
After hearing the supreme elder's words, Fang shot a fierce glare at his son, and Bright trembled once more under his father's piercing gaze
The supreme elder chuckled as he watched the father glare at his son, then commanded, "Okamichi, the human child is severely injured—toss her into the ice healing pond."
The deep purple-furred Dire Wolf nodded respectfully, then swiftly seized Yukina and vanished in a blur.
The Supreme Elder settled gently onto the ground and fixed his gaze on Bright, his eyes radiating kindness and wisdom.
After a moment, the supreme elder asked Bright, "Tell me, child, I'm sure Fang has told you about our history with humans—and how we no longer form contracts with them."
"Why did you summon this human child to our realm?"
Bright let out a sigh at the question, then began to recount Yukina's battle against the two rogue Konoha chunins in full detail—and with complete honesty.
The supreme elder, Fang, and the dark green-furred Dire Wolf grew increasingly impressed by Yukina with every detail they heard.
After Bright finished recounting Yukina's battle, the supreme elder smiled kindly and said, "Little Bright, tell me—what did this human child's heart feel like?"
Fang and the dark green-furred Dire Wolf were surprised by the supreme elder's question, but they remained silent and listened attentively.
Bright glanced at the supreme elder and, after a brief hesitation, answered honestly, "Her heart was like a raging fire—fierce and destructive, yet without a trace of evil, burning with an insatiable hunger."
The supreme elder nodded thoughtfully after hearing Bright's answer. He closed his eyes briefly, then snapped them open with a smile and said, "Good. For now, the human child is your responsibility, little Bright."
"Go to the ice healing pond, and when the human child is completely healed, bring her to see me."
A wide smile spread across Bright's face as he heard the supreme elder's command. With a confident nod, he vanished in a blur.
Fang and the dark green-furred Dire Wolf exchanged questioning glances before Fang finally spoke, directing his question to the supreme elder
"Supreme Elder, is this truly wise? If His Majesty hears of this, he will be furious."
The supreme elder chuckled and said, "You don't need to worry. Let's just wait here for the human child—I'm genuinely interested in her."
Fang and the dark green-furred Dire Wolf nodded and sat down, patiently waiting for Yukina to fully heal and meet with them.
_____
Hozuki clan compound
In the guest lounge
Yukito sat across the table from Zangetsu. Behind him, Yukira and Yousuke stood tall, their expressions unreadable. Opposite them, the elders of the Hozuki clan formed a solemn wall behind Zangetsu.
The Hozuki clan elders were visibly enchanted by Yukira's striking beauty, while Gangetsu watched her with a teasing smirk tugging at his lips
Yukira remained composed, disregarding the Hozuki clan elders' gazes as she stood quietly behind Yukito.
Zangetsu and Yukito sat in silence, sipping their tea as they studied each other intently, each trying to read the other's thoughts.
After a brief pause, Zangetsu spoke. "Yukito, I expected you would seek an audience with me eventually—but I didn't think it would be this soon."
"So, Yukito, let's not waste time. What brings you here?"
Rather than replying immediately, Yukito drank another mouthful of tea, laid the cup down gently, stared directly at Zangetsu, and answered.
"I came today to propose an alliance between the Hozuki clan and the Yuki clan."
Hearing Yukito's answer, Zangetsu was stunned—he had anticipated various motives for the visit, but an alliance proposal with the Hozuki clan was unexpected.
After regaining his composure, Zangetsu let out a loud laugh. "HAHAHAHA, Yukito, I thought you were intelligent—turns out I overestimated you."
"Don't you know the current position of the Yuki clan? You must be out of your mind."
Zangetsu then looked disdainfully at Yukito and continued, "so I refuse to form an alliance with the Yuki clan."
The Hozuki clan elders let out chuckles dripping with amusement and arrogance after hearing Zangetsu's reply, but the faces of Yukira and Yousuke immediately darkened with displeasure.
Yukito's expression stayed calm—he had expected Zangetsu's refusal. Taking another measured sip of tea, he said, "Do not hastily dismiss my proposal; this alliance is beneficial for both the Yuki and Hozuki clans."
Zangetsu's amused smirk deepened as he asked Yukito, "How could an alliance with the Yuki clan possibly benefit my Hozuki clan?"
"After the reckless stunt carried out by Yukitaro and his faction, the Yuki clan's noble status is sure to be revoked."
"Additionally, your clan's official strength has greatly diminished after Mizukage-sama executed numerous members of your clan."
"The Mizukage and the higher-ups don't trust your clan anymore. Do you honestly believe I'd drag my Hozuki clan into that mess?"
The color drained from Yukira and Yousuke's faces when they heard those words, while Yukito serenely took another sip of his tea
Placing the teacup gently on the table, Yukito gave a slight smile and said, 'What you said is true. The possibility of Mizukage-sama stripping our noble status is quite high.'
Yukira and Yousuke were taken aback by Yukito's words, while the Hozuki clan elders smirked at the Yuki clan's misfortune.
However, Zangetsu narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing the calm expression on Yukito's face.
"What's he up to? Why is he so calm?" Zangetsu wondered, narrowing his eyes
Yukito continued, "Nevertheless, the Elemental Nations are in a state of unrest, and Lord Mizukage believes the Third Great Ninja War is imminent."
"The Yuki clan could use the upcoming war as an opportunity to regain the trust of Mizukage-sama and the higher-ups."
Upon hearing this, Zangetsu and his elders narrowed their eyes, but Yukira and Yousuke allowed themselves faint smiles.
"I also intend to establish a Medicine Department in the village to focus on the development, research, and production of new medicines."
"With the war approaching, these medicines will be key to keeping many shinobi alive on the battlefield."
"Though our noble status might be revoked soon, the merits we will earn in the coming war will be enough to restore us to the ranks of the noble clans."
Hearing this, Zangetsu and his elders were momentarily stunned, but Zangetsu quickly collected himself and met Yukito's gaze with respect.
"He formulated the best strategy to save the Yuki clan in such a short time; this guy is very scary." Zangetsu thought solemnly to himself.
He then narrowed his eyes and said to himself, "Under his leadership, the Yuki clan will surely prosper and grow stronger than ever before; I have no doubt about it."
"The Hozuki clan and the Yuki clan have been mortal enemies ever since the Warring Clans era."
"However, ever since the first Mizukage united the Sea Clans and founded Kirigakure, our conflict with the Yuki clan has shifted into a political war."
"Could the long-standing enmity between the Hozuki and Yuki clans finally come to an end, paving the way for a new beginning?"
Suddenly, Yukina's image appeared vividly in Zangetsu's mind, and a quiet, peaceful smile tugged at his lips.
"Yes, it is definitely possible—little Yukina's existence holds the answer to this question and shows the path forward for both clans."
Once he made his decision, Zangetsu faced Yukito and said, "I accept the alliance with the Yuki clan, provided we unite our clans through an arranged marriage."
All the elders widened their eyes at what they heard, but Yukito calmly looked at Zangetsu and said, "I am listening."
With a smile, Zangetsu began, "I have a sister, and since you have two, we will arrange marriages—one between you and my sister, and one between me and one of your sisters."
"By doing this, our clans' alliance will be secured for years to come, and the hostility that has festered since the era of warring clans will begin to fade."
"A new era will dawn for our clans, founded not on enmity, but on unity and prosperity."
Yukito was taken aback by what he had just heard. He closed his eyes, offered a small smile, and replied, "I need some time to think it over carefully and discuss it with my sisters and elders."
"I would rather not force my sisters into something they would rather not be a part of; I hope you understand."
Zangetsu nodded with understanding, his eyes filled with respect. "I understand. I also need to inform my sister," he said.
They both stood up, shook their hand, and then Yukito exited the Hozuki clan.
The meeting represented the dawn of a new era for the two clans, who had been locked in battle and bloodshed since the warring clans era.
This new era will be full of prosperity for the two clans, and the existence of a little girl has made this possible.
