The repairers approached them.
"Ahem! Excuse me," one of the men said.
"Can we know what's happening?" His tone was anxious.
He wanted to fix the malfunctioning quest list as quickly as possible before news of this reached the higher-ups.
They already had issues failing to detect the powerful beasts that had suddenly appeared in this dungeon zone. If news like this were to leak without restraint, then not only would they be punished for their lack of oversight, but they would also be fired.
Getting another high-paying, reputable job like this would become challenging because there would be no one willing to hire them.
They would have no choice but to earn their wages like every other ordinary citizen in the big cities.
"It's a false alarm. There's nothing wrong with the quest list," James responded.
The repairers breathed out in relief.
To them, this was akin to being told they would keep their jobs.
