Everyone decided they wanted to have hot pot, so Wen Nuan and Ye Feimo had a quick lunch and went to the supermarket to buy ingredients. They bought a lot of ingredients, and Wen Nuan started getting busy around four o'clock. Ye Feimo surprisingly offered to help in the kitchen. Wen Nuan joked that he was more of a hindrance than a help and told him to go to the living room and play video games. But Ye Feimo insisted on staying in the kitchen to help. The two of them chatted and cooked together. Wen Nuan really liked this cozy feeling, even though Ye Feimo was clumsy at washing vegetables.
In addition to the hot pot, Wen Nuan also made a few of her signature dishes: curry crab with rice noodles, red wine braised chicken wings, beer-braised duck, and beef brisket stew. She also prepared some refreshing lettuce, cold asparagus salad, a plate of fruit, a seafood salad, and ten different desserts, making sure to cater to everyone's tastes.
