Chapter 67 - Season 2 - Episode 1 - Loud Love and a New Album

It's been a week since Chris Cornell and his team started recording "Louder Than Love" with me here in my studio. With the new setup and additional equipment, my training room has turned into a full blown professional recording room.

Even Chris Cornell, when he saw the changes was all praise and even requested to be able to write his songs here. Well, that's okay so I allowed him to do so. Of course he still needs to ring the bell outside our mansion to enter, lol.

Anyway, I also see Eddie Vedder in tow, helping the team to set everything up from equipment to anything that Chris needed to comfortably record.

I shook my head thinking this young man, ehem… well I'm younger, was easily baited by my scout into joining my label. But I guess music really does flow in his veins evenly.

I have plans for him but he needs to develop by learning first. I still remember that Eddie only bloomed when he's in his late 20's so , there must have been something before that he was not able to do but I think he'll do well in this timeline with my guidance.

"Oh!"

The song started with my recorded riffing of my guitar.

And then Chris Cornell followed with the first verse.

"There's no time to keep it low"

"I've been deaf, now I want noise"

"You stay down, but I won't be quiet"

"I'll hammer on until you fight"

The chords and beat came in, so the refrain's lyrics came out of Chris's raw vocal power.

"Loud love"

"Loud love"

"Loud love"

"Loud love… yeah"

"Hammer on 'till you fight"

And with some short chords, the next verse followed.

"If you've got some time to kill"

"Slow resistance wins the war"

"Well, I know, yeah, but that's no way to go"

"You can't resist the louder pull"

And then the refrain…

"It's loud love"

"Yeah, loud love"

"Loud love"

"Loud love, yeah"

"Can't resist louder pull, yeah"

"Alright"

The solo guitar part entered. My recorded guitar solo was a raw, dissonant burst of aggression, showcasing unconventional style with heavy distortion, sharp bends, and chaotic phrasing. It was the exact copy of the original but a bit more heavy on the tone.

Then, the 3rd verse ensued.

"That's right"

"I want something to explode"

"I've been deaf, now I want noise"

Chorus followed.

"Loud love"

"Yeah, loud love"

"Loud love"

"Yeah, loud love, love"

"Yeah"

The song finished with Chris breathing in and out heavily to get more air in his lungs.

As for the seats on the mixer. Eddie Vedder, standing on the side, blurted out "Holy FUCK! What was that!?"

Everyone in the room heard it, including me, so we all laughed.

I thought as we all laughed, 'Yeah That's what's up with a trained Chris Cornell!'
